@@bertmanche3704I’m low key mad the game isn’t as fluent as pipe when you turn off all assist on pipe that game shines even on vanilla… this game at times is clunky you can see the game pulling you into grinds pulling you down into banks pipe really didn’t do that when the assist were off… also momentum a lot of times it just dies out for no reason… it’s a good game definitely better then riders republic by a mile but yea they def need to work on it still.

The one thing this game lacks is the SFX of riding different surfaces. Like I wanna hear rocks and stones under my tires while on these dirt jumps for example. I wanna hear the difference in riding on actual road vs concrete vs dirt vs tiles vs wood. I think there is a wooden sound but could be way better. In general the SFX are lacking oomph
You know, I never really thought of that. Someone else mention sounds as well, and that is a detail that was looked over. That would be a very nice thing to get updated
@SomethingRad Yeah easily something Mash could add with updates, or even some could make sound mods. People made them for Skater XL, I'm very surprised they were never a thing on PIPE over the years.
@@Nitroh-yea but you also gotta appreciate the fact that for 1. It’s just him and maybe a few others so doing all that takes a whole lot of time, 2. The game lacks a lot of things, but people gotta be happy that we are even able to play it right now. They could’ve held this game out for another 6 months to a year trying to get all these other things done. Me personally I’d rather play, find some problems here and there, and watch mash fix them over the months. Atleast I’m playing the game rn

I played the first Dave Mira, and this game is wildly different control wise. The flow in this game is unreal though

You can change the look of the game via the filter menu in the replay section. I play with "Realistic Bright" and the colours look warmer and more saturated.
Hey Rad if you go to your video settings you can change the filter to more vivid ones. It brightens up the map for sure. Not sure why he went with this default filter maybe the makers eyes hurt looking at screens all day. 😂
I’ll have to look into that, but I still don’t expect much color when the ground and buildings are all solid colors
if you unlock more spawn points theres one closer to the jumps. My favorite place in the empty map.
Okay! I wasn’t sure or not, so I at least showed it from here. I’m sure there are people that are just starting the game that want to know how to get there from the start of the spillway, and this at least shows them where they’re hidden in the bushes!

The thing you gotta keep on mind is mash will be working on the game and updating it regularly. I'm sure he just wanted to get the game out since it took so long and it was finally at a point where it could be released. I've already had 3 updates since release. This game is going to explode in the near future between updates and the modding community.

@@SomethingRad I agree. I don't think the game is worth $40 as is but it's definitely a blast once you figure out the differences from pipe. It took me a while to get used to the controls and physics. Some of the challenges are way too difficult though. Especially for early game.
At least I think they got the physics right, for the most part.....the colors and better maps will come, I'm sure....it has a lot of potential

You’re not stuck, just go to the bottom of the spillway and there is an area to the right as you get towards the end. Go out that hallway and you’ll be in the city

Unlikely. I wouldn’t say never, but mods usually aren’t a thing on consoles for indie developed games like BMX Streets

im not 100% sure but im pretty optimistic that you can optimize the graphics and especially the colours with a 3rd party software called "Reshade". should be pretty easy and straight forward.

I find the picture looks a bit washed out by default. There's a filter called something like "HighResContrast" or something like that. Turn that on, about 40-50% and the colours pop a TON more

That has nothing to do with my opinion. I’m still thinking as if I was a buying customer. I still buy all the games I play outside of making videos, and I’ve even bought a lot of the games I make videos on, so I still understand how people who are buying the game think. My whole thing is to give my real opinion and I’m not going to say the world looks great just because I was hooked up with a copy of the game. I’m having a blast with the gameplay, and look forward to updates and the future of BMX streets, but the level looks plain

At 5.45 something, if you are botherd by the color can you change it? I agree its looks way to matt and almost dessert like. Our generation is wayy to addicted to dopamin for feeling this is optimal graphics, needs more colour

The game is def jank af and it’s kinda sad considering how long we’ve been waiting. But honestly I’m still having a tough time of fun with it. The flip and spin physics are much better than Pipe and these dirt jumps seem to work much better than Pipe. Overall I’m glad I bought it and the modding community will have some amazing shit before long.

Needs to get rid of the pumping
Outside of pedaling, pumping is the most important part of the game. It’s what allows you to ride any type of transition from jumps, to bowls, to pipes

This isn’t an update man, this is an entirely new game. It’s only on PC right now and coming to PS5 and the newest Xbox consoles sometime in the coming months

@@SomethingRad yeah. After refunding I went back playing Pipe. I had a lot of mod maps with Pipe and I still enjoy it up until this day.
Maybe it feels smoother to play the game but I have to say the animations of the tricks look not as cool as in pipe
A lot of the animations in pipe were modded. I agree, some of the animations are not the best. The tweaking does help a bit though

If you haven’t played pipe before, I can see how they’re a little weird. Once you learn them, they’re fun, at least it was that way in pipe. We’ll see about this game

Why did you spend so long talking about how the map looks? It’s not something that matters to anyone in comparison with some of the other issues in this game.
Because I think that the map looks bland and I felt like talking about it. I know there’s a grind assist, but I didn’t know there was a spin assist. Kind of weird to not be able to turn that feature off since we can turn the grind assist on/off.
@@SomethingRad well it was in Pipe as an option and most people turned it off but sadly it’s not there to turn off in streets so it feels super arcadey in comparison. Doubt people would notice it too much if they had spin assist on during pipe
