Tread-Softly
Look at how pretty this flower is! But don’t touch it! As much as you want to sniff these beautiful flowers or pluck them for a nice bouquet, just remember that the tread-softly plant is also known as the finger-rot plant. The flowers might look innocent, but the whole plant, including the fruits, are covered in strong stinging hairs that can break off in the skin and make you itch like crazy.
It releases several irritant compounds and lightly brushing your fingers over it can cause stinging that lasts upon an hour! The after-effects are even worse. It leaves you with skin discoloration for several days. It definitely isn’t a plant you’d want anywhere near your face!
Clathrus Archeri
Some plants that grow on earth look so extra-terrestrial that they’re too fascinating not to look at! This squid-like stinkhorn is actually a fungus, a very gloopy one at that! Its finger-like structures have a sticky goo on them that can actually attract a lot of flies. And when these hungry flies come to feed on it, they’re also helping the fungus spread its spores.
This way it can reproduce since fungi don’t have the same method of multiplying as other plants. Not only do they look weird but they also smell awful! It’s not entirely proven to be toxic to humans but it should definitely be treated like it is. After all, just look at this weird creature that only grows on decaying plants and mulch! How gross

You gotta be careful around mushrooms. I hunt for Morels and Chanterelles. I'm glad my boyfriend knows what's good. He was taught by a mushroom expert
I can't believe Poke berries aren't on the list. Every part of the Poke berry plant is poisonous. Especially the roots. The berries are purple/blue and look like blueberries. I wanted to eat one but I took a picture and sent it to my boyfriend. Glad I didn't just eat one.
I ate one, they never did anything to me. You’re talking about the berries that they normally call snake berries right? Well here in sc we call them that. But we used to eat them but only one I think if you eat too many that’s when it’s dangerous.
Am I the only one who has are the first flower that showed but didn't get itchy skin
I'm not itchy yet. Bugs do that to me but not plants
