Hey my fairy-friends, I recently watched Fate: The Winx Sage because I am a huge Fan of the OG Winx Club, so I had to watch this new adaptation as well.
I know that there are many people not quite happy with this show because it's nothing like the original but I actually enjoyed it. I just wished for a better casting of Musa (she is asian after all) and the Flora-erasure is also painful (she is my fave...).
Bu if you don't compareit to the OG the show is actually really nice, the plot is good and straight forward, the CGI is also great and I got actually really invested in the show, I bady want to know how it will end.

yes I am loving it. I think people should stop comparing it with the OG series because its an adaptation and the winx thing is just the backstory through which they are giving a darker and mysterious version to the beautiful things and its kinda exciting and unpredictable. If people see it just as a series it would be worth watching. I dnt knw much bout Winx but they made a real life version of an animated series so we should simply enjoy it. I knw those who love winx might not like what I am saying but tbh give it a chance and let those people njoy who don't knw bout winx.
From what i have seen the show is good but they could have made it more watchable or put it in the 13+ category
I’m surprised that I actually did enjoy it☺️ I absolutely loved the friendship although I was confused by Stella’s character, she seemed to switch sides too quickly she went from lowkey hating Bloom to being her friend out of the blue.

I really like the actors for sky and bloom. They’re gorgeous. Sky is super handsome and rugged but also looks like he is extremely sweet. Bloom is super super pretty and I’m in love with her eyes. The girl that plays her looks so fiery and is just and amazing bloom

I don't think you know what "rugged" means. The guy who plays Sky looks like the perfect puppy/boy next door 😂 Also I like how you only said Bloom was pretty, because lets be honest, she was pretty stupid and selfish most of the time in this series. I hope she has learned her lesson.
@Paulina Yushuvayev I think they will develop their friendship over time. We got to remember it was like a few weeks, maybe 3 months tops that the show portrayed, noone gets that close after a few weeks, especially not when Stella has been abused her whole life. They don't just open up. Stella isn't exactly the light hearted girl that she is in the animation. It's actually really well thought-out that the girl of light is so sad. I will look forward to all of them growing their friendship. And yes on the Beatrix one! She even gives off that vibe! She is so badass and a bitch, but she won't stand for people degrading others! Also the actress is probably the best out of all the other actors. She has better control over her facial muscles and shows minute emotions in her face, compared to the others who are way more choppy in their acting!

I like the show but if someone told me it was a reboot of winx I wouldn’t believe them at first - the only things that makes it recognisable to the original show is the names and powers. I love the OG show, and even though it isn’t exactly like it I still am waiting and praying for a season 2

Honestly rather liked that it wasn’t so much like the cartoons. The cartoon was amazing but it was definitely for kids. This show is not and I like how they took the show and made it more fit for adults. Though I missed tecna and Brandon and didn’t like how Musa and Terra’s(it’s flora. I don’t like that they changed it) characters were white washed. I did rather like it a lot and breezed through it in an evening. Hope they have season 2 so I can find out what happens next

I think they cast sky perfectly, I just wish wish wish the rest of the og specialists were in it even as cameos, I miss Brandon and Timmy, they deserved to be brought to the screen along with techna and flora

The thing is hes more than just the girls love intrests in this. In the original they helped with the dangerous situations but they are apart of the plot in this one and like that
@@emmahoctor6514 I think that's mainly because they are all in the same place now. At first, I was like why would they combine the schools but it not only makes production easier but also incorporating and developing the Specialists more storywise. So smart choice.
@@emmahoctor6514 that's one thing I will give the show credit for, they've improved on the relationships between characters, like Bloom and Aisha. We never really saw them interact, but in this because water cancels fire out, Aisha is a safety net for Bloom which is something she really needed at that time. I found that really intriguing. I really want them to bring elements from the Dark Bloom storyline from season 2 (?) and expand on the effects it had on Bloom and the rest of the characters because as soon as Bloom came back it was as if it never happened.
Same, I really hope the series won't make the same mistake as the orginal show did and turn into a Bloom feat Sky show. I need equality for all of them.

I binge watch the show today, I am a big fan of the OG, but this show was really entertaining, yes some changes are painful but it didn't really affect me that much, and the casts are quite good. Can't wait for a possible season 2

After 15 years seeing this story come to life is precious. Even though it's not exactly what I - or probably anyone - expected. Those last few scenes on episode 6, with the girls hanging out and bonding, made me feel that sense of familiarity and nostalgia. Pretty sure they'll order a season 2, I cannot wait to see what comes next, especially for Bloom and Sky
Also, its a little more realistic, throw 5 girls together in a room, one shouldn't expect them to be best friends within a week 😂 And honestly i feel like the 6 episodes were probably not even a whole semester? so what`? like 3-4 months? So I was okay with them not being best friends from start, but working up towards it, because all their personalities are really different, so in real life it would be hard for them to be friends.
I just hope they won’t mess up Bloom and Sky
@@TKDDLJ09 Definitely. I think season 1 runs through the course of a few weeks... What bothers me the most is Stella suddenly seeing Bloom as a close friend - or even as a friend at all. Which is so weird considering how bothered she was by Sky and Bloom's 'friendship'. She did send the girl alone outside of the barrier, and, later on, sent Bloom on a mission to kill a Burn One and retrieve her ring. Netflix should've ordered 8 episodes instead of 6, they would've have had a little more time to develop the characters and their relationships
@@amandakassis yeah. It was definitely too few episodes to get over how Stella changed. Like even 8, but preferably 10 episodes would have been better, especially if just one or two episodes focused on the girls and not on the plot. Also because Stella was gone for an episode or so?
@@amandakassis my point of view (it is not truly formed, so, might be not that easy to understand) about Stella considering Bloom as a friend after all that is that she just fell into a need to open her soul to someone else, but not Sky. Firstly it was Musa (correct my spelling if something, I am a little not from English-speaking country), then she understood she could be friends with them. And made her steps to them.

I don't think they will bring techna, since her powers aren't of the elements, like all the others. I think it was a choice to only have Fire, Water, Spirit, Light, Earth ect because its a little more standard magic, than magic of technology 😂 Therefore Musa is a pretty good combination of Techna and Musa from the original.
O don’t know why people hate it so much. From the start they said this show was going to be different. And I love it. I think the plot is far more interesting that in the cartoon. And the characters, even thought techna, Timmy , flora and Brandon are missing, is not a bad cast. Maybe in the future they will bring those characters. The show has a lot of potential and you know it. Some people only hate this cause there are missing characters and isn’t like the cartoon but what were you expecting? A kids show? That would have been boring for most of us
Can u read ? It´s called WINX if they don't even get the charcters, setting, genre right why bother calling it winx..... I have nothing against the serie in genral but calling it winx is just rude and a slap to the face to the creators and childhood memories..

@@TKDDLJ09 yes the creator works on it, but the serie is still a cash crap .. winx lost it magic ages ago .lol ..but so see it further degenerate just hurts.. watch the first few seasons of winx club then watch this live action one. You can see that all the important parts that definded winx isn't there anymore- the charcters, the setting, the atmosphaere.. instead we got drama, a shallow friendship and lovly characters got cut out.. Soo who cares if the creator works on it if we already lost him to the capital already in winx club?
@@Lena-zd2iw lol it hurts? Damn, why so attached to a TV show. I used to watch it as a child, A CHILD, and I found this show decent enough as an adult. I didn't want fluffy, glittery, weird as fuck transformations. I think they did a decent job turning it into a more broadly "fantasy" show. 🤷 Of course it wasn't perfect, but it was still enjoyable enough. Also they can call it exactly whatever they want. It's not like they are calling it just Winx. It's called a Winx Saga. And since it is in the winx world, I think it's okay to have the word Winx in the title. 🤷 But then again, I'm not some over attached person to a TV show I watched as a child and I don't get over emotional over a TV show either.

No I think it's good for his character arc. I really like how he has his own problems, he is not just the love interesest.
Honestly, Sky is the most complex character in the series with a lot of layers that they could develop on...

i practically cried from happiness when i heard netflix was gonna make a live action of the winx. i was a super huge fan of the og show, there were quite a few changes that didn’t sit right with me but im not a big critic. overall i liked it, not loved. it was entertaining to watch.

I really liked this series! Even though is not totally true to the original series but I think the story is really well done. It keeps you hook and you have no idea what could happen next in a good way!

yeah i think they should've made it it's own show. like my problem w it is the ethnicity change of musa. as an asian who looked up to musa and felt represented as a kid, and still struggles w finding asian representation in big majority white cast shows, it was disappointing they would change her ethnicity. other than that i liked the show. the story line is good. just waiting for them to add more original characters next season lol.

Honestly I’m pretty surprised with how good this show is and I love Bloom & Sky 😍
I like the production itself, just when i start comparing it to the original I get disappointed. I think they should’ve made more episodes too to let the story unfold more. Stellas character development, bloom finding out she’s adopted and trying to find her mother and Musa & sams relationship felt really rushed to me. Also I’m really disappointed they didn’t include Brandon since I felt like he was a brother to sky and instead had riven there to semi take his place (at least in the first episode). I am still pissed about the white washing as well, but I do love terra & Musa anyway. And I think the cgi works really well :)

I personally loved the show. Yes, it was much different and yes they did skip out or change some key characters but I don’t get why there has been so much hate towards it. The original show it was based off was made for children, this has been updated for an older audience and in my opinion (as an older viewer) I think they’ve done really well. Now that’s not to say that there could be improvements, but I binged watched it on the day it came out and have been aching for season two ever since. People just need to get their head around the fact that it is never going to be a word for word copy. Xx

A traitor from Alfea has released Darcy and Stormy from the underworld prison; hoping to replace their leader Icy. She thought, that they would stay loyal to her, since she saved them from forever lasting torture; but ,oh, was she wrong. Darcy and Stormy quickly got tired of the Alfea-girl’s stupid tries of controlling them, when they all knew, that no one could ever compare to Icy. They needed their sister back if they wanted to rule the world. That, they were certain of. They locked the girl in a cell, which was located where no one would ever find her, and were quick to release Icy. The Trix were now reunited, and danger was heading straight for the fairies. As Darcy and Stormy figured, Icy was already making plans. She had big plans, which mostly wrapped around the topic: Revenge. But Icy had also changed. She was darker, more evil. She was broken; her thirst for blood was consuming her senses. Her plans were too extreme, to the point that they were insane. Even Darcy and Stormy didn’t agree to this madness; it was too much. The only one, who could ever match her. Blooms eyes gleamed red. Hot fire swirling around her, as her red hair floated beautifully. Icy quickly repositioned, turning her attention to Bloom. Icy’s sharp ice, which could slice through stone, and Blooms gigantic fireballs which rumbled for the whole world to hear. This was a legendary battle. Darcy and Stormy had gotten up, and with Bloom, they defeated their sister. Their hearts shattered at her screams, when fire consumed her. Everyone is hating on this series but to be honest, I loved it! Sure, it's not anything like the animated one but that's the point. This adaptation was made for an older and more mature audience and therefore they changed some things.
