  • I enjoy the depth of the story behind the dance. Did you notice how Jaja didn't smile or make any expression at the beginning of the dance, but became more human at the end?

  • Few points I'm sure most people missed as to when the Puppet master became the puppet. 1:44 She pulls his head back 1:54 She begins showing off while he isn't looking then pauses when he does look back 2:09 She begins leading (she's moving first before him) 2:19 Obvious part 2:26 Having never controlled anyone she is unable to do it correctly which is why both of them are moving in a more hectic fashion. 2:36 He tries one more time to control her and fails This is a personal interpretation so I hope some others saw at least one of these parts.

  • There’s a really elaborate story here. The master is controlling his doll and at first the doll is moving slightly differently (in the beggining she is flailing her hands when the master isn’t. Throughout the dance she becomes more and more conscious and turns on her master, near the end, she smiles and does a hand gesture signifying that the transformation from her to the master is complete, then the master does everything that she is doing until she puts the master in display at the end. Hope this helped😊

    • Yes, also, they actually retrograde the movements from 2.17-2.20 to show the reversal of roles and then she literally sucks the power from his body with her hands and her chest puffs up as she makes him follow her.

    @therafter7494@therafter74946 жыл бұрын
    • Patrick Kent Of course she doesn't need to look at him for visual timing cues, they've practiced this routeine so extensively they could do it blind folded.

  • I watched this 1000 of times, and I wanted to write my understanding to see what you guys think of my vision. at first, Master has complete control over her body, she reacts to everything he does and follows. First @1:18 you can see a small sign that she is fighting to break free ( she shakes her hands with a little freedom but he doesn't do that) but he is still in control because @1:28 Master stands and moves her down on her knees to follow him again. it is in here that for the first time @1:32 she breaks and pulls her master down and stands above him but she still does not have control because the master does;t copy her moves (at least not fully). from here on Master's fight begins (sometimes he follows her moves but in between shows signs that he is trying something else and different moves). From @2:00 her domination begins. now master follows her but with some delay. and finally @2:09 she takes complete control, the smile that she makes shows that now she knows that the job is done ( I absolutely love that smile, so freaky :D ). @2:17 taking over is done and now she is the master (Music changes to a whole darker tune) and in @2:22 she shows her domination by a hand gesture ordering him to follow her (In my mind some kind of celebration ) and finally at the end puts her master in the stand being completely free.that last gesture thinking of job well done is awesome. I just wanted to share my view, please tell me what do you guys think? because this dance from moves to music, Everything, in my opinion, is totally intentional and a masterpiece.

  • Something I appreciate (and I don’t know if this was intentional Or not) but the fact that his Lockett’s are more fluid and organic like a person would move and hers are more robotic and jarring really adds to the performance. Totally sells the effect.

  • Over 53-54 years ago we did this kind of dancing. The "robot dancing". It is really awesome to see it still exists. Great job dancers! Loved it. Jewelry box dancer is always a winner. Thanks to the "Sound of music", "Nut Cracker" and some Christmas specials. This is the first I've seen both added together. Robot meets jewelery box dancer. Love at first sight. 🥰😅
