  • Wow, have they ever changed! We have had our GeoPro 12RK, since 2018. We love it! It has less bells & whistles, but loads of camping experience! We took both, the fridge, & the microwave outta there! We couldn’t find a tree to plug them into! Now we have more storage! 12v compressor fridge, X2. A fridge, & a freezer. Ice cream is great while camping. 400w of solar panels. It’s nice to see these little trailers evolve! I’m sure, that these changes, are all reflected in the price! Play carefully, smile often!

    • Id never buy anything in the rockwood/forest river family again. Constantly finding screws and bolts that rattled loose on the road, sawdust coming from every corner, electrical issues. The amount of money they charge for such cheaply made units without a care in the world as to how long it will last! Do yourself a favor and NEVER buy a new RV. Let someone else eat the severe depreciation and interest money.

    • @@mikedennis8109 honestly if you can swing the small size i would go with a little guy teardrop or a viking teardrop trailer. I wouldnt recommend anything that has fiberglass skin (aluminum can be repaired much MUCH easier and cheaper in the event of a leak. Delamination of fiberglass is next to inpossible to repair and costs a fortune in time or money). Basically if it comes from a name brand RV manufacturer and isnt winnebago or airstream (assuming bumper pull type), i wouldnt buy it. They all end up to be the same cheaply made junk aka lipstick on a pig. They look great in the showroom, have all the bells and whistles but theyre all built to be form over function and all they have to do is sell it once. Or just get yourself a hammock and rainfly and call it good!🤣

  • Everyone always starts with the outside of the RV but if the inside of the RV does not work for you, the outside really doesn’t matter.

    @james99118@james991183 ай бұрын
    • I feel like the outside provides context like an establishing shot of a movie. It’s a quick way for someone to see if it’s going to be the approximate size/weight they’re looking for. Big 5th wheel or small travel trailer. Also, it’s not too much trouble to skip ahead on KZhead to the inside portion of the video. All that being said, it’s very true that the interior is more important and it’s what ultimately sets these apart from each other. Thank you for watching.

  • Nice review of this unit. I bought the 2019 Geo Pro 12SRK new, no air conditioner but has everything else. They have made some good improvements, more storage, waterless hot water, increased solar from 100 watts to 200 watts. The fenders are much tougher looking, the awning is the same but now it's electric. They went with the 12 volt electric fridge where mine is a 3 way 3 cubic with freezer. I like what they did with this new improved model for sure. I'm in my 5 camping season (164 nights) and I have had no issues with it. I paid 14,500 us for mine in Alberta Canada. I thought it was very costly for its size but it is built very well and I wouldn't part with it for any, while maybe I would for this new one, lol. Anyway, glad it's back. It looks like a well built unit and will last for years. 👍

You can find cheaper teardrops that are just shells basically with no appliances. This one seems well equipped. I have also seen some 17 footers fully equipped for 15K on sale. The smallest A Liner/A Frame is also about 15K. It has an A/C unit and exhaust fan but nothing else. If you step up you get a gas stove and sink and heater.

Will keep you in mind if we ever decide to get an RV! :) Your price isn't bad on this one either! I'm surprised there's not an optional TV or something on the back wall, especially a 12V-powered TV. I feel like the solar control and thermostat could have been placed further to the left, leaving more of the back wall open for someone to mount a TV later on. Geo did a good job of cramming in storage, although I do wish it had a convenient place to stash a cassette toilet. Making the max air standard is a good move. Upgrading fart fans to something useful is at the top of my to-do list with a RV. I would imagine 200 watts is enough to keep the fridge running. Shame there's no freezer, but that's not a deal killer. The price, on the other hand, is most definitely a deal killer. You can get a full featured trailer for that. Hard pass for anything over ten grand.

    • It is 12V only. With 2 deep cycle lead acid batteries, the batteries will not die in just one night. The current generation of 12V refrigerators run much more efficiently than older generations. The 3 way fridges that you used to see in some RVs would drain the battery very quickly on the 12V setting. If there was no sunlight powering the solar panel, I would expect 2 batteries to last about 48 hours running this fridge.

  • 3/4 trips into mountainous ranges and the roof begins leaking. Most people dont realize these things are made with wood /aluminum frames that shift and buckle .

    @jasoncoughenour8911@jasoncoughenour89116 ай бұрын
    • This is made with an aluminum frame. No wood in the frame in case someone reads your comment and starts to wonder. In 5 years and about 250 Geos sold, we have yet to have one return with a roof leak issue. Not one we have sold has come in with water damage due to water getting in from the outside.

    • I had a customer some years back who made a deal with his wife that he could buy a travel trailer as long as it fit inside his garage. So he bought a Rockwood Mini Lite from us and had us install a low profile A/C, smaller tires, and finally he had to let the air out of those tires to make it barely squeak by the top of the door. But he did it!

  • My geopro has spent more time in the shop the first two years than in my yard / on road. Electrical issues and slide out jamming last year 6 months arguing with factory to get parts for a trailer a year old. I guess buying the extended warranty was a joke!

    • I’m really sorry to hear that this is your experience. Did you buy it from a local reputable dealer? In my experience, a dealer that can advocate on your behalf with the factory and does timely service makes a world of difference when things need fixing.
