    • I have cats and dogs and haven’t figured out how to yet (moreso focused on being a pet owner for the moment.) Do you need get to work in order to run a vet clinic? Or do you just rabbit hole there like other careers? Looking forward to it!

    • @@123amandapanda456 You don’t need Get to Work, but it is an active career. So you go to the vet and take care of the animals. You can also hire employees which will allow you to have the clinic open without being there.

  • Yessss, justice for Strangerville! This pack usually gets a lot of hate or is just ranked as “meh” by other simmers, but it’s so great! The world and bb stuff is one of the best out of all packs, thank you for putting it in top 4, Kelsey! Was also glad to see High School Years there. Also a very much hated expansion pack that doesn’t deserve it 🥺

    • @@shushia1658don’t you tho? Cuz you can definitely talk to your friends/make new ones, work on your assignments to get better grades or slack and do something for fun. The school building made by ea sucks just like any other building they made, but if you download one from the gallery or build it yourself, it’s a completely different experience

  • I just got a laptop after years of only having a tablet and I installed the Sims 4 right away. I got it during the sale and have 6 expansions already and bought a few packs too. I’m excited to get more. I’m so happy to have the Sims back in my life. I played the OG through Sims 3 like crazy. I think I want University and Island next. I was about to buy them but I was a few hours too late and the sale ended.

  • I just added cats/dogs and seasons with the last two sales. I've loved the holidays with seasons but don't love how it changes gardening. There's also the fact that my sim won the lottery in the first sim week of a new legacy challenge I started, lol. Cats and dogs I immediately downloaded the "playable pets" mod because otherwise I was so bored with them. But the vet career is a lot of fun! I've enjoyed doing it.

  • Kelsey is the reason I got into playing the Sims. I had been watching Kelsey since just before she really took off with the 100 Baby Challenge (Jaime, Niya and Natalie forever!!), and because real life was put on pause in 2020...I played simulated life (and my Sim had WAY more game than I ever will...lol), but here I am, at 50 still enjoying Kelsey and playing Sims. So when there's an opportunity to give even a little back to Kelsey - I bought the My First Pet Pack, and used Kelsey's code. Thanks Danger-Girl! Here's to a Million in 2024!

I did just by the tiny living along with those two but I waist I got the dream home decorator and that will be my next one.   • The more you know: There's an option in game to keep rampaging werewolves confined in Moonwood. Werewolves would still roam around everywhere, but unless provoked directly they won't transform and/or rampage autonomously. Just tick the box "Limit Werewolves in Moonwood Mills" in Game Options/Pack Settings.

  • I love High School Years but it really irks me that your teens never get to the next grade unless you let them go to school alone. I hate that the teens will stay as C or B students as long as you're following them but to progress you have to leave them alone. It should be possible to do both!

  • I feel like I am the only person playing without the seasons pack 😂I dont miss seasons as I dont really mind what weather it is. At least my Sims wont freeze to death lol. Holidays I would like to have, but not so much that I want to spend the money on it, plus I always feel like I am so busy with the "normal" stuff, I wouldnt even have time to celebrate the holidays.

  • Just an FYI if you are planning on doing an LP running a vet clinic, the game is bugged and you cannot reach a 5 star clinic. Everything else seems to work well though!

  • A pretty good list though I cannot recommend My Wedding Stories to anyone because it doesn't do what it's one purpose is. I guess if you want the clothes it's ok but it doesn't let you host a wedding. I wish EA would allow their staff to fix these packs. Modders are already doing it so we know it's possible. Fricking love Cottage Living, though, and it works pretty well. Agree Seasons should be base game!

  • Parenthood and Dream Home Decorator were my top 2 until the introduction of infants. Parenthood became the clear winner after that. It's more important for caring for infants than Growing Together. HSY is boring at school, but I got out of it what I wanted, being more dynamic living for my teens, so I am satisfied with it. Cats and Dogs is the weakest pets pack the franchise has put out. I like them, but the gameplay is meh. Growing Together should be base game. It ALMOST brings relational dynamics up to The Sims 1 base game dynamics. Not joking. City Living. Love the world and the game play is more of a life style and I enjoy it. Cottage Living is so precious. I love this pack all the way around. Such cute comfy clothes for 100 baby mama. Seasons: Love it. Seasons is a life style. Oh it's Christmas and New Year's is tomorrow. Yay! Tiny Living is my #1 SP. Romantic Garden #2. Paranormal #3. My #1 most used EP is Get Together. Get Together, Parenthood, Tiny Living. Power up your Sims with these three. This combo will affect their lives more than any other.

  • I agree with Parenthood! This is the pack I forget about because it’s so integral to my gameplay that I forget it isn’t base game. On the flip side, I have some bitterness towards Growing Together. I did NOT want to buy that pack because I was satisfied with Parenthood and I didn’t want infants added into the game. Base game infants are damn near not playable because they are boring and buggy. I rage quiet the Sims in a save that I put so much effort into and I didn’t play again until months later when I could afford Growing Together. Most of that should not be behind a paywall since infants were a new life-state with nothing related to it in any other pack. I enjoy the pack now but I hate that I felt forced to buy it in order to continuing playing my favorite game.

  • a lot of the things that you are praising to me sound like they are good only bc they were lacking from the base game initially. all the family stuff gameplay wise should be in the base game imo. and ezpansions should ad something completely new. I've gone back to playing Sims1 recently and I am suddenly not bored of sims anymore. 4 just lacks somehow.

    • The extras that have been the most worth it for me have been the cats and dogs pack and the parenthood pack. The rest are okay, and get to work is fun for those who actually want to do careers with their sims. All the others are really give or take. I love the farmyard animals and the homestead vibe packs they’ve been releasing but they’re still so buggy.

    • You should check out James Turner's video on which pack to buy that he did a month ago. He surveyed 20 000 ppl to rank the packs based on different categories. It’s very thorough and it definitely helped me choose which ones to get.
