12 ads in first 45 min going for a record??? today's fun new vocab lesson, kids, is the word "moderation" why not just make vids of ad collages instead?
@@oughtssought1198 I hope you found "Adblock" by now, it helps with eliminating the ads.
Inspector Morse will always be remembered but this is equally outstanding.
I never watched "Lewis" on television because I enjoyed "Inspector Morse" so much. I thought this series would be disappointing. I was wrong. Thanks, BritTV for sharing these great programmes.
I watched Lewis before watching 1 or 2 eps of Morse out of curiosity, and I found Morse disappointing. The camaraderie bw Lewis and Hathaway is one side of the charm.
So pleased to see this series here. I grieved the loss of such an amazing actor, John Thaw and was sure that nothing could measure even close to his detective series. I was so incorrect! Thank you, thank you, thank you for sharing this amazing series!
Got so sad when I saw that red car Morse used to drive😭
If there can't be Morse... Lewis and Hathaway are the best. Well done. Great episode. Thank you for posting.
Touch of Frost was without doubt the best
Well "Hathaway" won't be getting his own show, cuz in real life the guy went a little wacko!!!
Inspector Morse is the program that i measure all murder mysteries against . i dearly loved that show so much . Inspector Lewis is right up there with it.
Not "Columbo"?
Watching Lewis. So stupid as I saw the Jaguar brought tears to my eyes. Miss Morse so much.
I'm so happy the honored the legacy and didn't just forget about it and him like I saw it happening with many other series
When Lewis stumbled in front of red Jag , l could hear Morse say " Wake up Lewis "
That's was somebody else's red Jag, some kind of "car cameo" and reminder of Lewis predecessor.
"I could bring in Jack the Ripper and she would still argue the time of day"
……….And she’d still not give me the time of day
Lewis and Hathaway make a compelling pair, old school and a walking encyclopedia. Boss.😊
YAY IM SO GLAD I FOUND THIS CHANNEL, BLOODY BRILLIANT I JUST LOVE UK COP SHOWS 😀😀😊😊☺☺😉😉
Thank you been going mad without my British drama fix
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
This is why we love England even after Brexit. Amazing classical TV series. Thank you!
This was a great episode! Kept me wondering who did it and that's the sign of a really good mystery! Thank you
The butler did it.
The begining of a beautiful friendship
I LOVE this series. Thanks for uploading it..
As a follow-up for the Inspector Morse series which was exceptional, this is excellent and Lewis' acting is outstanding. Looking forward to watching the next episode in the truly British style. Well done. 😊👍👏👏👏
Thank you very much!
I love the "Lewis" episodes as much as I loved "Morse"
Love this series and remember when Lewis was on with Morris
I am excited to watch these ! Yes, very much appreciated is your channel... many thanks 👍 🇨🇦
Just recently started viewing this on PBS. Thank you for posting.
Glad you are back, missed you enormously. Great episode, very interesting. Thank you!
So glad you are back. Waiting for Poirot. Greetings from Perú.
The wait is over! At least for series 1, watch it here: kzhead.info/channel/PLvKcRPhAGzCqGFjyICbXhAwA7NKmGj7Kl.html
Thank you, Brit TV
At 1:13:24 Lewis goes for a walk on Magdalene Bridge and sees the punts on the river below: I've been punting many times at that spot, a very enjoyable pastime at one of the most beautiful places in England.
I punted in Cambridge ~ after guiding whitewater rafting trips for 9 years, it was fun...
I like the comment “its what he believes that counts.” Perception of someone affects them deeply. It is their reality.
Thank you so much for sharing this series love it. - awesome.
I'm so glad to see you are back!
Endeavor award. 💯💙
Glad to see you back...cheers
Thank you thank you thank you for all these Lewis episodes 💕💕💕💕
Rumpy pumpy 🤣😂🤣💜💜💜
It just means sex.
the episodes only get better.
I've never seen this show before. It's great. Thanks for uploading!
Did you find, "Mum" to be as much of a pain in the arse as I did? LOL She's in charge and so should have a good sense of judgment and all she could do was continually Lewis shut down. Left to her the wrong person would have been arrested, charged, and imprisoned.
Welcome to Earth!!!
Amazing that this is available on KZhead. Thank you and you have a new subscriber!
Good show, glad you are back.
Thanks so much for posting.
Thank you so much for this. One of my favorites. The music is riveting.
Love this series
Have been a fan of inspector morse and have all series in my tv files which I watch occasionally however I've never sat down to watch its follow up Lewis until this week when I started watching s1 here @ home in Dublin laid up with a bum leg resting it on couch with thanks to you 4 uploading the entire series which I'm well into now and loving it too every afternoon thanks 4 making this irishman very happy and entertaind
A great series
Glad to see this series here! I watched Morse years ago and have seen most of Endeavour, but not sure what I’ve seen of Lewis. So, I’ll watch the lot!❤
yes very glad !!!!
Thank you so much for helping me to improve my english and to get my ears used to British accent . 🙏
Love these, thank you! I wonder if there's a way to lower the volume of the background music. For me, it drowns out the dialogue
The good ole days of when good mystery shows like this were on the telly here in the US
So glad I found Lewis. I love it!
Glad you enjoy it!
The challenge I find, as an American is the ''toffs'' of the upper classes. There's so many gifted geniuses with crippling emotional problems the entire university of Oxford must be a hive of insecurity, neurosis and personality disorders. Even when they interview professors and side characters the psychosis and attitudes are intermingled with classism and snobbery. The show is thick with so many ''inside'' Brit jokes and snide remarks its a mad dash to the street slang dictionary to find out what they mean.
Hmmm. I went to Oxford and though there was a fair bit of all that, I also spent a year at Princeton. And guess what..?
@@nickwyatt9498 Princeton grads MUST remind everyone of this fact whenever you meet them.
I just love these guys
Thanks so much ~☀️
Brilliant ⚘
Excellent! These two I like!
"Rumpy-pumpy" 😆 lol.
love Lewis.
“…then had rumpy pumpy with the widow.” 😂🎉
Marvelous!
30:56 The Question 33:27 The Answer Nicely done.
The difference between Morse and Lewis is that Morse was still able to leave his car unlocked and go. But times are changing, aren't they?
Thanks. I'm looking for 'Magnum Opus' part 1 - does anyone know where to find it please?
"Mine's a pint Sargent: You're driving" ...now where have I heard that before?
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The Pilgrim’s Progress by John Bunyan. Good flick!
I had to watch this .movie 3 times to understand 5 🌟 Peace ✌ ☮.
I am a 54 yr old healthy American woman. Hathaway is the first man to really interest me in years. Oh my....
Imho, Kevin Whately plays Lewis' the grief fo his wife very well: his touching moment with Hobson (27:00-27:42), with the young guy (37:00-37:25), the meeting in the supermarket with the attractive professor and loniless at home (42:425-45:37 ) a Prof: "I noticed your ring" Lewis: "That's just.." Prof: "Habit?" Lewis: "No, it more than that" So sad.
Nice Barnaby reference at the end.
Love the series. Hate the adverts
........and so it begins!
Is there not a season 9 episode 6? Can't seem to find it anywhere...
Good series.
Don't forget DI Morse. And nice use of Rardiohead.
Yes things are different now. Morse would just stumble into the crime scene, turn over the body, pick up possible evidence and slip into his pocket, check the cabinet for some brandy. Max, his buddy the coroner arrives, gruffly informs Morse that he will know more next day, and besides Morse is the detective, not him. I miss Morse.
"Don't let's speculate on alternative suspects when we have a prime suspect". Just why we've become un-enamored w/ the justice system.
Five bodies in one episode? Morse never had more than two.
Colin Dexter sighting (I think): the porter giving directions to Lewis and Hathaway at 18:05 to 18:08.
Oxford is so old!! I was there once.
Thoroughly enjoyable mystery... good acting, good settings, good plot. The scene with the girl walking into the river with a backpack of stones made me think of Virginia Wolf. It does seem the professor's motive was a bit tawdry and pathetic for three murders, though.
Apples & Oranges- One of many
Well done series. But there are frequent Brit mumbles. Machine-made subtitles are useless.
So true but once in a while there's some help there in the CC
What you lose me in the plot on top of plot on top of another plot. By the end I didn't knew what was going on with that family. Who was whos father and who was sleeping with who. All I know is 4 people died. But 6 and 28 are perfect numbers. But I love these shows. I was a huge Morse fan.
Love the series. So many commercials. Sad.
😊😊😊 Iyeeeeeees...achei o meu querido Lewis! Amo.....obrigada.
Would it be possible to add Spanish subtitles? I really want to watch this series with my family, thank you
I know just what you mean. My wife speaks good english, but subtitles would be great.!
Is there any good British series that's not as murderous? Did the BBC make a series on James Herriot or Dr Robert Clifford? We here in 🇿🇦 never got to see any. A link would be appreciated. We loved The Darling Buds of May.
4 episodes hidden. why is that?
This series is wonderful to watch and enjoy! The only crumb in the ointment is the English slang and expressions. Still wonderful to enjoy for someone close to eight decades..
Which ones didn't you understand? I can translate them for you :)
Are you making some kind a movie
Me interea oirlo en Español o con subtiiiiiitulos.
I always thought I could understand Englands english, until now. It was so hard to understand over 50% of what was said, cc did not help much as it went fast enough not to have time to read it. I Very often use cc so I'm not a slow reader. The characters seemed to have no warmth rather more like an expensive robot. That may have been up to the director. I'll try one more episode a few seasons further on
Nothing compares
The number of ads are just distracting, too bad.
Hey, it's "Big Suze" ❤️
Why so many commercial interruptions???
Nice .
Super !!!!!
Thank you! Cheers!
He has ✨lice✨
Of course, it’s very good.
greetings from Croatia, please tell me why there are no automatic subtitles in your series on KZhead, Croatian language, I'm very sad because I love your series, maybe Santa Claus will fulfill my wish, thank you and warm greetings from Istria🫶🥰
