Echo Show 8 (2nd Gen) vs. Echo Show 8 (3rd Gen) - Is it Worth it to Upgrade?
The Echo Show 8 is a smart display from Amazon. In this video I compare the outgoing 2nd generation Echo Show 8 to the new 3rd generation. The 3rd generation has been redesigned this year and features upgrades to the camera, speaker and processor - but is it enough to warrant an upgrade from an older 1st or 2nd generation Echo Show 8?

The difference between the 8v2 and 8v3 is the ability to add an eathernet connection. 8v2 has that micro usb port, that can be utilized.
The screen in 3rd Gen looks awful, excessively warm colors. Why?
Also to note that v2 & v3 no longer has a 3.5mm audio jack, which is a down vote for me. I'll keep my V1 for a while.
Good comparison. Thanks.
They did the same with the Echo Show 5.. strange to me to remove things rather than add.
Has the Echo Show 8 (3rd Gen) not a AI function (in the future)?
