I flew from Germany to Kazakhstan for this concert in June 2019. I was still a relatively new Dear at the time and had heard this song only once performed before at the opening ceremony for the European Olympic Games. At those events, usually performances are playback because they are massive televised events. So when he started to sing this song live at this concert, I nearly fell off my chair. It was the only performance I captured on my phone the whole evening. Btw. Dimash concerts are usually 3+ hours long, so you definitely get the maximum entertainment 🤩

When I discovered Dimash, his next concert was NY and I absolutely had to see him live, no matter that I was terrified of flying. It's a long way from NZ. What a privilege. Still get tingles, hold my breath and cry. I simply cannot stop listening to him. I wake in the night, morning, whatever and I have one of his songs going round in my head. There's nothing I want to recommend, because I love everything Dimash sings. He is epic‼️ I've been around a long time and seen a lot of famous singers and bands. There is simply no one like this man, and I have no adjectives to describe him, or what he does to your soul.

This new singer you don't see in the radio or see him often on western television, but this artist's fanbase is bigger and more loyal than some of the most famous and international pop-stars. People will fight you online if you mispronounce his name, his fans will spend hours watching his videos, starting fan clubs all around the world, and leaving long comments on KZhead with every song backstory. They are die-hard and well prepared. My question was necessary at this point. What has made these people so close to him, and what does he have that other artists don't? I first discovered Dimash because of his fans. He doesn't need paid advertisement because his fans of him will do it for free. They genuinely love this artist so much that they want to make him known at all costs. Some claim he has helped them overcome depression, others say that he has changed their lives with his music, some fans even believe him to be an angel or a superhuman. If you thought Michael Jackson's had some die-hard fans, Dimash's fans, which call themselves Dears, are clearly above them and not too long after, a storm of Dimash fans started crowding my comment section with requests. I had never heard of this artist ever before, so it was interesting to discover someone new. As soon as I heard his voice from him, I was immediately impressed. No wonder his fans of him are obsessed, his voice of him is incredible, and at first sight, he also seemed like a pretty humble person. The 26 years old artist from Kazakhstan, first reached his stardom after participating in a few national competitions and spreading his fame abroad, placing second on the Chinese show - I Am A Singer 2017-. On this show, he was the youngest participant to compete against professional and already affirmed Chinese artists. One of the first songs I heard him sing, was the popular "S.O.S d'un terrien en détresse". A French song originally by Daniel Balavoine. I was immediately impressed by his incredible technique and delivery. His vocal training is formally classical, but he manages to sing pop songs extremely well. His choices of original songs and covers are never obvious, and always leave the listener in awe. What shocks me the most, is his use of the vocal fry technique. He manages to reach super low notes and jump to high ones with such perfection, and without ever failing. Above all, the most impressive characteristic of his voice is the use of the "whistle". I've never quite heard a man using this technique before Dimash. Sorry Mariah, but his whistles are incredible. You only need to listen to his songs for him, because it's impossible to explain such a talent with words. His vocal range is incredible. His extension is 6 octaves and 5 semitones, goes from a low A1 to an incredible D8. Considering that, the highest note male record is an F # 8 and Dimash is only 3 semitones away from it, I wonder if one day, he might try to beat the record. It would be so interesting to watch that! One other thing that caught my attention, was always impeccable perfect pitch. He is probably the only singer never to be flat or sharp in any note, and that's why many people gave him the nickname "Alien". But impeccable technique and interpretation are not the only good qualities of Dimash. We learned about his humanity from him on the World's Best show-, the reality tv competition, where he competed in 2019. After a few episodes, when Dimash discovered he had to compete against children, he decided to quit. He explained to the crowd that he was unaware of any competition against children when he signed the contract and, this action would have been against his morals. Incredibly this explanation, was not included in the aired episode, which left us puzzled after hearing RuPaul, or should I call him "Rude Paul's" outburst. Dimash's renounce was, in my opinion, a selfless and humble act. It takes a great man to give up his dreams to keep his integrity, and this is what we saw in this amazing artist. The American show, increased the popularity of the Kazakh singer overseas, so much that one of his songs, in the Kazakh language, debuted on MTV USA in October 2020. The love for his country and his honesty are always noticeable in all his his performances. Every one of his concerts always includes cultural aspects tied to his country, as the use of particular instruments to accompany him or traditional clothes and singing styles. I think the choice to sing in his native language was not at all casual. I believe that one of his goals is to increase his country popularity and recognition. After gathering my thoughts, I realized that I was right about my assumptions. His latest post on Instagram just mentioned: It is necessary to understand that I have become who I am now, primarily thanks to Kazakhstan. Because I grew up in Kazakhstan, until Kazakh dishes, studied from Kazakh vocal educator, I was raised in a Kazakh family. And the main stimulus that drives me is my nation and my country! I think, after all, we've now answered my previous question. What made this artist so close to his fans? And what does he have that others don't? An incredible voice is not enough nowadays. Social media has brought artists closer to their audiences, which want to make sure that who they are following is also someone that they can report to. Artists like Dimash tend to gain millions of followers around the world, not only for their talent, which is definitely the main reason but also for their humbleness and the way they interact with others. When people feel closer to an artist, they tend to want to know more about him. Dimash is talented enough, mysterious enough, and at the same time so down to Earth that he could easily be your next-door neighbor. In a world where often talent and simplicity don't go hand in hand, Dimash is a real crowd-pleaser. I was in New York concert, my husband was not a dear, he went to the concert with me just to accompany me, however when Dimash sang Ogni Pietra and SOS, my husband was tears...to hear him live is for sure an experience!!

The way I found to celebrate the majesty of Dimash's talent was to write the following about him: If I were to rule the world, I would immediately add to the universal declaration of human rights another article (they would become 31) whose wording would be as follows " All human beings have the right, at least once in their lives, to hear Dimash sing ". I am a Professor and I believe that I have a special profession that allows me to transform the human heart and consequently the human society. I work with young people and young people need to have good references. I had been looking for someone for a long time, whom I could talk to the young people I work with, as a good reference. That person should be young, a super talent, a super mega star in the art world and above all, because he is the most important, a good human person. I searched and never found anyone with these characteristics. Until, 1 year ago, I met this person and that person is Dimash. I have suffered from generalized anxiety with depression and sleep disorder since I was 12 years old, now I am 35 and I can say that Dimash changed my life. I have listened to it since January 2019 and a month after listening to it, I stopped taking the medication because I no longer needed it. So far I have not taken it again. Dimash is not only "the voice" it is his entire being. a good human being who struggled to get where he is now. The best thing is that he is still a humble person and full of love for the world.
I totally agree with you. It’s not just his range, it’s e everything, it’s the whole package, he is totally absorbing, gets to your soul, takes you over, every single song. Every song is so different, so unique. He plans every single detail, not just the singing, but the instrumentals, the whole composition, every look. He is epic and makes every song epic. I love your reaction and your appreciation. My mind just cannot fathom people that are not blown away by him. Maybe there are other singers who have his range (I have seen comments that there are) but no one makes his performance such brilliant vocal art like Dimash. there is a huge difference. I saw him at the Barclay Center in NY with my husband. We were both so impressed with the overall stage production and the whole show was just amazing! We also went to the fan pre-party the night before at the Academy of Music. We met Dears from all over the world. My husband had no idea what he was getting into but we had such a great time! Dimash’s brother and sister came to the pre-party and also some of his band and dancers. It was an unforgettable experience for sure. Seeing him live is really hard to describe. He is just so humble and sweet to his fans. He was so overwhelmed when the US audience sang one of his songs in Kazakh to him. He said his dream came true that night. 11 марта была на концерте В Киеве...Живоё шоу ничто не заменит.Особенно выделяется- это общение Димаша со своими Диарс...Быть и присутствовать среди них, это фантастическое ощущение.Особенно запомнилось единение поколений присутствующих на концерте...возле меня сидела 80 летняя бабушка и её внучка 8 лет...пели все вместе как одна семья (особенно Чорнобрывци) ...советую послушать...А 12 марта обьявили карантин.Мне повезло , думала отменят...но нет. And I'm looking forward to the next one. In the beginning, I was alone. We have already traveled to Kiev for a concert for three people. We have already bought tickets to Prague. Maestro Igor Krutoy is a renown Russian composer who has mentored many people over the years! He took Dimash under his wings and has composed many songs for Dimash! This was from Dimash’s solo concert in Kazakhstan in the summer of 2019. 48,000 were in attendance. Dears traveled from all over the globe to see him! He’s Truly magnificent!

OMG, what he brings can't be put into words. He unites us, first with our Self, our Inner Being, then with him, but also with each other. Just realizing that, here, in this awesome comment thread. Great review, BTW, but right now I'm actually falling in Love with the commenters, the Dears. Dimash is ever so much more than a singer. No matter the wonder of his amazing range & all the rest, he is SO VERY MUCH MORE. What is that? No words will contain/convey it, but it's like his soul flows out through his music. Here's what I know.. Igor Krutoy is this multi-billionaire Russian composer guy, who is retired. He seems to play many instruments, mostly the piano, and can sing as well. If you search up "Igor Krutoy singing" there's this video of him singing a famous French song with Lara Fabian. He watched one of Dimash's performances, and liked it so much, he came out of retirement to work with Dimash. Now, he is composed many songs for Dimash, including this one. One song in particular composed by him is "Your Love". That Lara Fabian person I mentioned wrote the lyrics of this one, so they sort of all work together. Feel free to correct if I've gotten anything wrong :) I haven't done any proper research, this is just what knowledge I have gathered over time.
as far as I know, it was Igor Krutoy's mother who "discovered" Dimash and told Igor about him. He came back from semi-retirement to work with him. That fruitful co-operation started in 2019.

I was in Riga in March 2020. It was SPECTACULARE!!! He sang Olimpico, and it was just amazing!! 😍😍😍 The whole concert was Mesmerizing ❤❤ I screemed, sang, screemed and cried 😅😅 YES, his tone is soooo beautiful!

He has worked with a long list of superstars including Celine Dion & Lara Fabian, and is now Dimash's musical director. He wrote this song for Dimash to perform at a huge European event, and Dimash includes it in his concerts. You often see Krutoy onstage playing a grand piano with Dimash. Dimash is classically trained with a B.A. in Classical Voice and had the opportunity to join The Kazakhstan National Opera Company, but he is also trained in Contemporary Music & his intention is to blend opera, pop, rock, Kazakh folk together into a unique genre that has been labeled "Popera." This song he performs totally in operatic style from the baritone to tenor to soprano range. Simply an amazing demonstration of vocal techniques and talent as well as performance skills. I am lady of 76 from U.K. who saw S O S on you tube three years ago and have been obsessed with Dimash ever since. I flew to Latvia to see him in concert last March just before U.K. was in lockdown. It was two and a half hours of magic. I just needed to be in the same room as him once in my life. And yes, he sung Olympico.

I've been to 3 of Dimash soloconcert. I went to Arnau in St Petersburg where he sang Olimpico live. It is an amazing and very addictive experience. But so a where his other concerts. My favourite concert would still be Dimash and just a piano. Unplugged. Like in Karagym Ai. But I would still pay to hear him sing Twinkle twinkle little star. It is an amazing experience to join with all other Dears in the audience. Yep, some people in social media are just negative. You will surely hear comments that Dimash have never sung Oimpico live in his concerts, EVER. Sigh. As far as we know Dimash doesn't need a backtrack and lipsync. In some russian TV-shows he is forced to do it. A lot of the televised concert has postproduction done to the sound when aired. At his own concerts he would be too proud not to sing live. In Moscow he dropped one song after the start did not go well, in London he broke into tears while singing SOS as a tribute to his friend, the olympic iceskater Denis Ten, who was killed. As far as I can say he has usually sung Olompico quite early in his 3 hour concerts and usually with a break of changing clothes afterwards. If he was not in shape to sing Olimpico, having a cold or so, he would probably just cancel the song. In London he performed for almost 3 hours with having a hight temperature and some problems with his voice, he did want to cancel bc it was his first solo concert in Europe and we were so many Dears who had travelled abroad to see him. He is so professional. And humble. He have never spoken badly of any haters or other artists. Such a role model. Watch Samaltau from Tokyo Jazzz Festival, may 2020. Watch Love is like a Dream, another song of Igor Krutoy, written 25 years ago, that Dimash made his own. Love from Sweden 🇸🇪.

My niece and I were at his concert in Kazan, for which we had to fly by plane across the whole country (and Russia is a big country;)) It was an unforgettable day! I finally burst into tears on the song Know. I saw him at arm's length. He shook hands with my niece. In one of the videos on his official KZhead channel, you can catch a glimpse of us in the crowd :) Now I dream of visiting his concert in his native country of Kazakhstan. The actual title of the song is Olimpico. When it first showed up on KZhead it was brand new, and the title of it was not known. It was called Ogni Pietra because that is the first two words in the song. Igor Krutoy is the composer of the song. It was written and performed for the first time at the opening ceremonies of The 2nd European Games. I was blessed to be able to travel 1800 miles to see him at his concert December 2019 in New York. This song is absolutely epic, energetic, strong, breath taking. The entire concert, including the days before and after were an ethereal experience. Watching videos of him are incredible, but they don't even touch the experience hearing him live.

True, I'm Dimashified as well since 2017. The same year(early 2017), I saw him performed SOS on television when I was in China(superb performance), ever since, I can't get this SOS out of my head. I did a lot of research about him and found out 20 years trained & educated with a master degree in Composition.
I saw him in New York in December 2019 at the Barclay's Center-- I truly hope you will be able to see him live someday! Everybody deserves to experience him live at least once in their life!!! I'm really enjoying watching your Dimash journey!!!

Igor came out of retirement to compose and play for ONLY Dimash. He is a very famous Russian composer, I'm sure others can fill you in better. IMO, they are PERFECT together! This is my personal favorite version of this song! The tribal drums really get me, and his ownership of the song is incredible!! I love when you are rendered speechless by Diamash or Mori, and I don't mind you dark glasses a bit, you need to do what makes you comfortable. I enjoy you reactions very much! I also will go to see him next time he's in New York, I'm a Jersey Girl! I cannot wait! I have seen all his video's countless times, and they still have that same affect on me, the entire song!! This man is an "old soul", I believe he had lived many lives to have this power!
Please, Igor was never retired and he still composes for others (although mainly for Dimash). Dimash inspired him to start composing again but he was never retired.

After his favorite singer, Dmitri Hvorostovsky died in 2017, Igor finished composing an album for Anna Netrebko (released in 2017). Then he said there were no longer any voices he wanted to write for, and he retired as a composer. When he heard Dimash sing, Igor wanted to compose music for Dimash's voice. Olimpico was Igor's first composition (2019) since the Netrebko album in 2017. As far as I'm aware, since 2017 Igor has composed only two songs for someone other than Dimash, both of those in late 2020. He composed a duet for himself and Irina Allegrova, titled "Autumn" and a song for himself, "Chestnut Branch".

He continued actively working in show business all the time and he still sometimes works with artists other than Dimash. Information should be accurate and not exaggerated. These exaggerations only hurt Dimash and they are really unnecessary.

I heard it live at a concert in Riga. On live it is just very powerful. The whole body vibrates. His whole concert is like another dimension. It takes days to adopt into normal life. Not only this song, his concert has music in a very different styles, pop, rock, classic and it all sounds wonderful. It's a must have experience. I have attended in three of his live concerts and I am already raising money for the next one. One live concert is enough to get addicted. Hey... we completely understand you and how your feeling about Dimash. He is phenomenal song after song after song..... He's so amazing! And it's not just about is flawless technique, huge range, dynamics and unbelievable vocal control. He also is able to sing a song with all his heart and being to make you feel it too. So you've done: 1) "SOS" which is a French song 2) "Sinful Passion" which is in Russian 3) "Opera2 which is also in Russian 4) "Ogni Pietra" which is in Italian So next I think you should change gears and do a Chinese song called "Autumn Strong" or the English song "Show Must Go On" or another English song "Adagio". Each one is completely different from the other. All of them spectacular! Have fun with is this journey with Dimash is varied, exciting, dynamic, heart touching and surprising. Dimash will change you. He makes us all better people. Now that sounds over the top doesn't it? But he is so inspiring and pair that with how he is a great person in real life....it just changes you. I was at the Arnau concert in Astana in 2019, my soul flew upward along with the high notes of Dimash. It was an unforgettable experience. I also want to go to his live concert, wherever he goes.

I have seen him live in New York and I can tell you the entire concert was absolutely incredible from start to finish. If you think he is powerful on video... you should hear him live. There is so much power but even better than power is he is so genuine, so appreciative and so approachable. The entire concert is on his official page and some reactors do the entire concert a few songs at a time. He is doing a digital concert on Jan 16th, TIXR website for tickets which are incredible affordable and a portion of the proceeds are going to a charity that will send needed medical supplies to his country. In person, I can tell you there are people crying, shouting, singing. I can also tell you that he has an incredible band, back up vocalist and dancers. That being said, I can also tell you he is so commanding that I was only vaguely aware there were dancers unless he was not on stage himself.

Her vocal range is 4 shades and 9 semitones, and goes from baritone to soprano without difficulty. Something unlikely to find. He is a singer, composer, multi-instrumentalist and sings in 9 languages. He is now recognized as the best singer in the world.

I’ve only just come across your reactions to Dimash and I’ve watched all of them back to back! Great reactions, Dimash had the same impact on you as he did to me! I’ve been following him for the past 3 years and feel the same today as on day one!! Dimashified. There is not a day goes by that I don’t watch him and you will learn that he is such a decent human being. So humble, gentle and kind and at 77 years of age I have joined a Fan Club for the first time in my life. I have watched interviews with Dimash and his family - we are lucky to be on earth at the same time. Thank you for your great reactions, we are on the same wavelength!!
