Prior to the recent pandemic outbreak in Shanghai, we had the opportunity to visit the UFC Performance Institute Shanghai to experience the State-of-the-Art facility and its testing and recovery process for MMA athletes. Some of the tests we experience included vertical jump, Max Alactic Power test, reaction test, Cryotherapy -110 degrees Frozen chamber, and many others.

Established in 2019, UFC PI Shanghai is the first state-of-the-art facility in Asia to provide MMA trainings, rehabilitation, and competitions for professional fighters. UFC spent over 13 million to built this second performance institute in Shanghai, an existing warehouse was converted to create 93,000 sq ft facility spanning four stories. The layout includes spectator areas, offices, and an octagonal exhibition space used for media broadcasting and filming.
