I managed to do the same by being "a true pacifist". I used Meritocracy, but I didn't need to kidnap anyone or even wage war on anyone. They just gave me the crown, because my dude was so damn popular by focusing on Diplomacy.

So Ive just found you through this video. I really enjoyed all the effort you put in to editing to the interesting bits, the explanations, and the jokes. The KZhead joke was fantastic. Really good stuff. Also helped me learn lots of things without having to watch a long stream, or confusing tutorial that says how to do something but provides few in game examples.

if you wait until the "go ahead with the abduction" screen pops up, then declare war before pushing the button, the game gets confused and forgets about the 200% penalty :D if were exploiting, let's exploit! lol
(it will still tell you that it gives you the penalty, but they'll get in your jail 9/10 times)

This part 2:50 is where most people think you cant declare war on them since its patched, but I never did that so when I thought it was patched I was sad but as it turns out the method I use wasn't patched. Instead of wasting a ton of money on buying as many agents as possible to outweigh the -200 at war penalty, you can just get a claim and then abduct the persons who's throne your trying to steal, afterwards all you have to do is start a claimant faction then press your demands for the throne while their in your jail, obviously they'll decline which will automatically put you at war with the person, who funnily enough is in your prison giving you 100% warscore.

You could just do the kidnapping first, and then start a faction to take his title. Since he's your prisoner he has to accept, and you can avoid the start war prestige loss completely.
The point is to not declare war at all. Faction demands only start a war if your liege refuses it, and since they're imprisoned they have to accept.

So ii just found this out if you are playing a high gold income run you can just destroy and recreat a duchie /kingdom to spam up to living legend it cost a fair amount but sprinkle it in with war and its only like 2 grand to spam it

you dont even have to declare war if you're a vassal. just abduct your ruler, create a claimant faction, press your demands and boom. Instant 100 warcore. I didnt know you could exploit this mechanic against independent rulers though
BTW, the colors from when you are finding secrets is for liege, vassals and outside rulers, not degree of chance.

Actually knew and Indian who's last name was John. He said that India is so big Christianity had been around there for a long time and his name actually pre-dates the Europeans.
