Nature's Mystery: Watch the Hypnotic Dance of a Starling Murmuration
See thousands of starlings flock together to create breathtaking patterns across the sky. #starlings #murmuration #birds #starlingmurmuration #flockingbirds #foxweather
Thousands of starlings flock together to create these swooping, swirling patterns across the sky.
The mesmerizing aerial ballet is known as a murmuration.
The name comes from the murmuring sound the starlings’ wings make while beating in unison.
During a murmuration, studies have shown that each starling responds to six or seven of its nearest neighbors.
Despite its mesmerizing beauty, the reason for this phenomenon is still a mystery.
However, it is believed that murmurations protect starlings from predators as well as keep them warm at night.

Yes I saw that a few times as well. And a dolphin at one point!
When I was a child age 5. Up to the age of 13 I would just stepped out of the house in certain hours and watch the display of magnificent bird. How they. Made sky dark ,with there synchronize dancing. In the old age you close your eyes and remember , that is Happiness!
Gods great creations!
Saw this today on my drive home through the country. I was so shocked & amazed, I didn’t even know what to call it. Beautiful sight to see in person.
Truly amazing sight to see!!! God is so Awesome 👌 👏
Stunningly beautiful. I remember seeing these 'clouds' of birds as a child. Rarely see them these days
These birds must be telling that the Mother Nature is not only beautiful but also wonderful.
no, they're recalibrating their magnetic compasses before the migration flight - I have seen this many times over the years in MN... in the fall
@@chouseification oh... they told you ? Great.
@@vincentho3964 FOAD troll. Not my fault you've never opened a science text book.
A truly magnificent wonder of nature....just numbs the brain in admiration and wonder.
it’s the most beautiful dance I’ve ever seen 😊
Beautiful ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Always amazing! Nature is 'tops' every time! ❤ UK.
I remember moving to western Massachusetts and seeing this beautiful Church. After I parked my car to look around, these starlings came out of nowhere and as quickly as possible, assembled into the largest heart imaginable. I knew I was going to live here for the rest of my life. What a welcome from the Heavens 😍🙏💫💫💫❤️🙏
Lppp
That’s so beautiful🙏🏽
1:46 looks like the birds made themselves as a pattern. Very cool.
Spectacular video

1:44 it looks like a bird silhouette. Nature's a work of art, truly
This must be an awesome way of saying thanks to God at the closing of each day. They sing, and dance to His delight, saying thank you for a wonderful day. We can all learn from them, giving thanks is a great thing to do. 😊
fantastique.!❤
God is amazing...what an orchdstrater
AMEN AMEN 🙌🏻
Absolutely mesmerizing!!
I was once lucky enough to be treated to an hour's long display of this once, on England's southern seashores, near Brighton, and I can honestly say I cried like a child. There is something profoundly spiritual about watching God's creations as they weave patterns in the sky. "Oh lord my god, when I in awesome wonder, consider all the world's thy hand has made"
INCREDIBLY BEAUTIFUL!!!
Amazing! Wonderful! Beautiful! Just thanks to the person make that video!
They don't have any leadership or guidance, but just follow each other 😂

Beautiful, thank you
Beautiful
Absolutely fascinating!
Amazing sight
Fantastic …
I've witnessed birds' aerial dances and murmurations many times in my life. From ducks and geese flocks in reveries to sandhill cranes and common sparrows dancing in the thousands. I think they respond to signs from the super mind and the trepidations of heavenly spheres and planetary movements.
What a mesmerizing video! The graceful flight patterns of the starlings, combined with the beautiful music playing in the background, create a truly enchanting and captivating experience. It's incredible how these birds move in perfect harmony, creating breathtaking formations in the sky. The music adds an extra layer of beauty and emotion to the already awe-inspiring spectacle. It's a true testament to the wonders of nature and the power of music to evoke emotions. Keep up the great work!"
1:45 a huge bird shape
1:45 the shape looks like a bird. How did they do that? 😁
I NOTICED AS WELL, WAS ABOUT TO COMMENT ON IT ...ITS'S FASCINATING
close proximity helps them fly, along with many other things im sure. geese do it to in a much more mild way but each goose catches the wake of the one before it and it helps it to not work as hard to flap its wings. these little guys likely tire easily, you can tell how some parts move faster. they are helping each other remain airborn without more effort. gorgeous.
Geese fly in formation to reduce air drag and, as you said, reduce the effort. Cyclists do the same. Starlings on the other hand, don't fly in formation, these movements are much ore akin to a school of fish. It's probably to make it harder for predators such as falcons and eagles to target a single one of them.
سبحان الله الخالق كل شئ و المدبر لكل شئ و الرحمان الرحيم على كل شئ.
That bird shape at the end, that had to have been fake. That was incredible!
I am on a big reservoir near Texarkana and have seen two big flocks of starlings. It was like a horror movie!
I witnessed geese flying in spectacular fashion today close to Glasgow airport. Literally thousands heading for a better climate I guess 👍
Ну что здесь скажешь.... КОЛЛЕКТИВНЫЙ РАЗУМ......
At 0:37 that looks like a giant bird!
سبحان الله الخالق المبدع .
'Likely some type of protective mechanism to allow large flocks to fly great distances safe from predators.
Whenever I see these I try to imagine what an alien on earth would think seeing this for the first time.
Outside their purview, but scientists should consider the possibility that the reason they do it is simply for the fun of it, for the joy of it. It looks fun and joyful to me. (Scientists should consider a lot more possibilities than they do.)
@@carlyk_ Speaking of brains, establishment science operates under what I think is the absurd premise that the mind and the brain are the same thing. The brain is made of fat, water, etc., and they all look basically the same. A Mahler symphony and the Sistine Chapel, every other art work you can imagine, literature, countless inventions, etc. originated from that glob of stuff? Yeah, ok. (And I loathe them where animals are concerned, research, etc.)
I remember from I was a little boy, thousands of starlings made this kind of show. Today, there are just a few left. The big flocs are gone. due to hunting, climate changes, and pollution.
I just witnessed this yesterday right near my neighborhood! They're still around!
Pretty cool. They look more like black birds to me?
We are doing that all the time it's all around us
01:46 Now that looks like a bird.
Angelic
Uh oh. Is that Rodan!!
LOOK WHAT GOD HAS WROUGHT That's what I thought as I was totally mesmerized watching this. I actually was on a completely different site looking up species of black birds, hoping to identify the flock that comes early mornings, filling all the branches of my tree, some also landing in my yard, but it's the 'leftovers' parading, hop, skip & jumping across my roof that really burns me. The noise I could continue to deal with until hopefully they move on, and it's been weeks (kinda enjoyable actually 😊...Kinda), but the wear & tear on my roof is a concern (And for those of you who would say they won't damage it, 1st of all, you don't know that. And, you're not here listening to all the scratching & movement, & sometimes what sounds like pecking up there...). I've bought owl & hawk decoys. They should work. If not, I also bought a powerful hose end sprayer. (And it's not just my house...) And after watching this video, I'll wait a little longer. Absolutely hypnotic... He does such wonderful things...
It seems a little disingenuous to assign the flight formations of starlings to some deity while, at the same time, complaining about the behavior of some other birds' enjoyment of your roof.
@@christophermorrow8951 He wasn’t assigning it to “some diety”. He was praising God and the wonders of His creation, of which, we are a part.
@@TheTrueKatyour God is "some deity"
Just because they can!
The true secret of birds, bees, fish and trees is enough space to join, leave, speed up, slow down, pivot and dance while still being with the rest of the kin. Even trees know to leave a bit of space for the wind to blow. In Chinese architecture they call it dragon holes.
The reason for this is not a mystery, there is always a predator chasing them , usually falcons

The wisdom of God on display!✝
Why can’t anybody post a murmuration without playing some music over it? I’d much rather hear them too.
On or about 1960, as a young teenager watching the evening news on TV with my Dad, I distinctly remember seeing an Eastern Airlines passenger plane taking off at the airport in Boston. A Starling murmuration flew into the airplane's flight pathway jamming both engines. The plane promptly went down and crashed. 62 people died. True story! It was, and remains the worst Bird strike in U.S. history. So much for invasive beauty.
Which came first... birds flying in the sky or airplanes?
Starlings were here first, but they aren't native to North America (brought over in the 19th century) and are an invasive species.
Humans could not even come close.
*And no, they don't do it to ward off predators. They do it because it feels good. It's a dance. It's so obvious. What predators? They do this in cities and towns.*
what music was used here?
The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament proclaims the work of his hands. ... (Ps 19). ❤
no bug is going to escape that
That's Murmuration? From afar, they looked like a swarm of locust.
SHE 🌍 WATCHES
*This isn't telepathy, guys. It's instinct. There isn't some quantum force giving the birds the ability to behave in harmony like that. Always remember, guys. If telepathy were real, that means that there'd be order in the universe. We all know that the universe is nothing, but chaos that will never be understood or figured out because some random guy on KZhead said so while waving his hands around.*
Budgies wild in Australia are nearly as bad, just green.
And some say, "there is no creator"! How foolish!
Cool to watch, but don't forget that Starlings are invasive in North America, and a pest that impacts and outcompetes many native NA birds!
God is real and His creation is absolutely beautiful ❤ John 3:16
The answer of the mystery is with our Creator
Their flying and formations are beautiful. They are in perfict timing. Only God and give them the abilitie.❤
A murder of crows
I'm skeptical. Not that I don't believe murmurations occur; I know they do. But I'm sceptical of this video. When I see the last image manipulated into a desired shape, I wonder how much of what I just watched was CGI.
this is sociology
The LORD does great work! Create that, darwin....
I hope 'fox weather' wouldn't be at all offended if an 'editing detector' was used . . .
Have they not seen the birds glide in the open sky? None holds them up except Allah. Surely in this are signs for those who believe. quran 16:79
It is no "mystery" to the Lord God Almighty who made them
Horrible music. Just let the video with natural bird sounds stand alone.
