With this stitch generator, you can draw stitch patterns on your meshes. In the geometry parameters, you select the object you want to give stitches and customize the pattern as you wish. There are currently 5 standard patterns that can be adjusted to make new ones. You can customize the rotation, distance, length, height, thread thickness, seam and creases, materials and the rotation randomness. The best method is to draw on your models, but it is also possible to copy an edge loop of your model and set the mode to "mesh" or convert the edge loop to a curve to easily add a stitch line.
The current stitch patterns that you can use are:
Line stitch horizontal
Line stitch Vertical
Cross stitch
Bouble line stitch
V-stitch Horizontal
V-stitch Vertical
I just bought your kit, but I´m having trouble applying it as a mesh on a curve on my object. Could you please show us step by step how it works? That would really help! Thanks alot
Did you manage to append the curvewith the stitches in yiour own file. If yes then you only have to replace the object in the paramets from the sphere to your mesh, then you can start drawing on your mesh with the pen tool if you go into edit mode of the curve.
I cannot get it to work in the file itself or when I append it. I am selecting my object but when I go to draw it doesn't produce any stitches, Is there something I am doing wrong?
Hi, i've bought the addon. once i add stiches to a vertex group, the material of the object is gone. once i disable the stiches, it's back. how do i fix it please?..

Great plugin made my life so much easier, thanks. The only problem I'm having is changing the colour of the stitches, is there a way of doing this?
This may be your problem: insert a "Set Material" node before outputting to the final geometry node

Hey friend....this would work for embroidery....in my case thats what im working on...now how could i do if i type text and I want the stitches to follow the fonts lines??
You have to project the text to an object, convert the text to a curve and apply the stitch geometry node. But the stitches are only one line, for embroidery you might need something different, a systems that can fill a space with stitches.
@@3d-eden978 hmmm...but a few of your adjustments included making each one thicker, and angle. That wd do the trick, no? if they get thicker they almost touch on each other, and changing the angle will allow me to make each stich almost horizontal...am i wrong?
@@wgalloPT Certainly, but I expect that they will open up in the outer corners and overlap in the inner corners. You can alwais try. I did think of an embroidery system though. I have that system already but it is not finished yet.
