I don't know one of my first experiences was seeing her on the Graham Norton show with John Cleese. He is incredibly smart, brilliant and witty and she held her own on that show. He, in fact, seemed to be completely charmed by her and she full-on zinged him with a response as well. It was what made me sit up and take notice of her as more than a teen pop star. I've been a fan since.

I think she meant that she wouldn't be forced into being skinny just because the society expects pop stars to look a certain kind of way and criticizes them whenever they put on weight (even though most people are not naturally skinny and have to torture themselves with diets to achieve that). Like, she mentioned enjoying her food and feeling healthy later. Her body is not a thing on which you just hang clothes.

I thought a little bit too and my take was that she does not have to be stick-thin like a coat hanger, who is way too thin for the coat, or that she is not something like a living advertisement in the sense of other people using her for their publicity and stuff.

She has said she did yes. Counting every calorie and needed to be so thin. I think her early experiences being used by men (John and jake) may have played into her psyche at that time as well media and ingrained perfectionism.

She has worked hard and deserves all the rewards. Her songwriting is miles ahead of pretty much anyone in pop these days. As a professional writer I can assure you she has arrived at a very high level of songwriting and she is worthy of much praise. Lyrics and melody are really her biggest strength and she paints a very beautiful picture in her music. As a man I'll get roasted for this but after the release of Folklore Taylor Swift has songs plenty as good as Dylan or Neil Young. Beware of the double standards that trickle down from cynical old writers (jealous?) when it comes to Ms Swift, she is great, truly brilliant, cleverly insightful , smart and not a druggie either. Her songs are deep and tell some very personal stories with a twist and with something often left for the imagination which is pure enjoyment. She's a super role model and didn't sell herself short as a stripper like some of her counterparts. She stuck to writing great songs and for that we are all blessed. Her new album renewed my faith in music and songwriting as I believe she will inspire generations to come to be great writers.

She meant that she would try to have some sense of control in her life (when it feels like there’s a lot of things happening thats out of her control) by controlling what she eats. It could be have been an eating disorder depending how severe it was for her mentally. I get like that sometimes but then I binge eat because I have no self control lol
