Shiela Ford - first she brought in Chris Spielman, basically a football interpreter for her. Chris Spielman is a silent hero here as ownerships assistant. He played a big role that no one really talks about in the hiring of Brad Holmes and Dan Campbell. Certainly starts with Shiela and Rod Wood. But in between those two and Brand/Dan is Chris Spielman. He too deserves massive praise for his role.
These guys did not talk about it - but it is pretty well known among the true fans - he has had that drive , since the day he walked out of OSU - he should have been a Lion his whole career so glad she brought him back hopefully it can help bridge some of the unpleasantness with some of the old retirees . They were able to get Barry back and he was pretty bitter for a while so it is possible that Calvin Johnson will put it behind him - he is in to weed now right ? he should be mellowing out

All old school fans know Chris is the main reason for the turnaround. He still wants a Superbowl Ring. He's the main brain behind it all. He was already my all-time fav Lion, and still is.
MCDC seems so down to earth man. He has straight up been himself since day one on the job. Hearing Pat, Ship, and former players talking about how they’d love to play for this guy is music to my ears. OnePride baby!

Never have I ever been so pumped for where the motor city kitties are and are headed. MCDC+Brad Holmes is the best leadership I've seen this franchise have in 30 years of fandom. Brad Holmes is looking like an all timer gm hire. If he nails this coming up draft too, they need to sign him up for a decade

MCDC has these players bought into him and his way of football like a college or high school coach has players who devoted to the program, putting the name on the front of the jersy first while putting the name on the back in 2nd place. Willing to bleed for the guy next to you. Alot of times pros put personal goals, and cash ahead of team... not caring about a loss as ling as they get thier numbers and thier money... its a exciting time here in Southeast Michigan... Lets Go!!

Never been a Lions fan, but my attention was peaked with Campbell's first press conference. Biting knees off? Hell yeah. As a football fan in general it's really fun to watch the Lions improve and become relevant. Keep up the good work and the great attitude, Coach.

Packers fan here. I remember back in 2010 we went to stadium view bar in Green Bay to watch the pack beat the Steelers in SB45. There were 2 lions fans that drove from Detroit to help root on the Packers and experience Green Bay. I told them if the lions are ever in a situation to make the playoffs and GB isn’t I will certainly root for the lions. I’m happy for you guys and go lions. This will never be the case for the Vikings or Bears.

Foxy and the Lions fanbase is feeling exactly how the Bengals felt last year, and of course this year too. After so many devastating years, it is ELECTRIC to watch the team get on fire and win games. I've been rooting for the Lions this year. A couple weeks ago I told some people that the Lions were going to the playoffs. Wish I would have put some money on it.

We all should be cheering for the Lions to be successful because at a minimum it'll keep Dan Campbell around and making amazing soundbites for as long as possible.

22 year old Lions fan from Ann Arbor here, god what a time to be a Southeast Michigan sports fan! Obviously it can all come crumbling down but I’ve never felt so good about both the Wolverines and the Lions, and it’s great. Just great. Thankful for what they have given us.

Even if the lions finish with 6 wins it's still double last seasons wins. I picked lions to have 10 wins and make the playoffs and as a 34 year old lions fan from Toledo I hope it happens. Especially for my grandpa whose been going to lions games since the 50s. He always said he'd never live long enough to see the lions win a Superbowl. Well probably not this year but a playoff win this year would feel like the Superbowl

As a spartan/lions fan the first half of the year was real rough. Thankfully the Lions are picking up the slack and giving me a fun football season this year! Kinda jealous of your Fandom this year congrats 👏
Not gonna lie, even as a Bears fan I'd love to see Detroit make it to the super bowl for their fans. Always felt bad for the world-class players that got stuck in obscurity once they landed in Detroit (Barry Sanders, Calvin Johnson, Stafford). They were right up with our organization (bears) in just having bad, bad management and ownership.

Try being a lions fan since mid 1960s like myself. Is very pleasantly surprised the last 6 weeks.
I want Campbell to really be the guy that puts the Lions over the top. He's so likable and there are some crazy things that he's doing that sometimes don't work out, but they're incredible when they do. This team is just pure grit and this season has been one of my favorites as a Lions fan!
Love it when some of these long suffering organizations get it together and build something for their long suffering fans. Very deserving fans.

I’m just proud that I was born a lions fan, damn near have tears in my eyes because I can finally say this team MY TEAM!!!! I saw the turn around starting after that Arizona game last year. They fight hard, no matter what.
When they next make the Super Bowl, I will have happy tears in my eyes the entire game. No doubt.
When they kept fighting in games after Justin Tucker stole that game from them, it was clear that they were gonna make it. That kick would've broken the back of just about any team I've ever seen struggling through a season.

We can't choose where we're born, who our parents are, or where we were raised. I have been with this team during Matt Millen. I have been with them during the 0-16 season. I am still with them now. Dan Campbell and Co. have changed the culture into a positive one. Keep going strong, One Pride

@seanodell7129 I totally agree. Nobody can fathom that 0-16 season unless you actually lived during that time. I find it ironic how the tides have changed. I remember there seemed to be quite a few times where we were very close to a win but could never pull it off. I remember we fought like hell though it seemed. I remember Kitna screaming at the offense trying to fire them up to drive down and win a game.

As die hard lions fans who's followed and watched for so many years. This is a breath of fresh air!! It's been awesome watching this team and coaching team with their plays. I was, am and always will be 1000% bought in on Dan. Amazing leadership qualities and emotional intelligence. He approaches everything from a point of empathy and is able to connect at a level that just inspires people. BRAND NEW LIONS.

I'm a Rams fan but I've always had a soft spot for Detroit sports. Root for all Detroit teams, especially the Lions, even when I was a kid. This year for the lions, has been incredible to watch. Seeing it unfold week after week has been my favorite part of this season. Every time I see a Dan Campbell speech. All I want to do is put on Pads and helmet and play football again. Love it!
I truly believe MCDC will win the Lions a SB some day.

Guys like Dan Campbell, Mike McDaniels, and Nick Srianni (although they’re all very different from one another) are the future of coaching. Guys that’ll take a bullet for their players and have complete trust in their team to play their own game. Just the way the teams react and the vibe in the field shows how great the locker room is

MCDC just sounds like a genuinely good dude! I like his interviews and how he handles himself. Drops a couple of f-bombs just to let everyone know that he's like the rest of us. I love that level of honesty and heart when he talks about his team.

I was Born in Detroit. I'm 60 and a lifelong Lions fan. 1 wildcard win in those 60 years. Yeah, it's been rough. Kinda sucks that my best year as a Detroit fan was the 1984 Tigers. If anyone deserves to have a great coach and a great team at the same time, it's the Lions.

I have been a Lions fan since the mid-70's. It have never seen it like this. "Same Ole Lions" has been here for so long. It's hard to fix, many have tried and failed. It's hard not to want more and want it NOW, but I'll be patient. They are still 6-7. I see this year being the start of the brand new Lions. The future is bright.

Dan is the right guy, and the players has made all Detroit Lions fans happier and more excited. The way last season was showed how much the Lions kept on fighting even in close games despite that we were losing each game last season; However, this season shows that Dan Campbell and our players love the game and are now fighting to get the team into championship contention. Alot of trust and even our QB is doing great. Brand New Lions are better than the old one. Proud of my Lions

As a Lions fan, it’s the GREATEST thing ever, that this show talks about the Lions. And they have talked about the Lions for a long time. They’ve always supported MCDC, always gave Foxy a voice, always commented on the Lions and have been consistently and genuinely interested in the team and their success so THANK YOU PMS and it’s very much appreciated!!!!!

Outside of winning, the best coaches emulate the spirit of the people and the city they coach in. Is there anyone more Detroit than Dan Campbell? He certainly fits the bill as a hard-working, tough, gritty, passionate, funny, straight forward and in your face guy. Love what you are doing coach to restore the roar in Detroit. It's been a while since the fans have been excited to turn the game and KNOW they can compete with anybody!! It's a great treat for the loyal fans that have stuck around through some tough times. I was at that game Sunday and it was electric. I was sitting 6 rows from the field behind the lions sideline and you could see mcdc watching the wave go around the stadium. Even alex anzalone was watching it.
