They did such a good job with Wooly and Amanda's voice acting as well as their awareness of each other. Like, Wooly's little expressions in reaction to Amanda lying or saying something super sketch are such a nice detail

The remake of amanda, this one is really different from the first version, in the first one, amanda is more evil, espesialy at the end when wooly stops her from doing something evil, in this newer version, she still is creepy, just not exactly purposly being evil, she doesn't seem to have any intentions unlike the first one, she even gives wooly a birthday card when she realizes

I like how the barn breathes more rapidly when you have to choose where to go, as if it's scared of what your choice will be. Also, it's eyes look directly at you right before it cuts away.

10:00 Oh no, she doesn't want kill Wooly on his birthday, but something is making her do so with all these butcher shops suddenly appearing behind them, then her suddenly getting angry when you try to make a choice that could end up killing him or something he wouldn't like. It's sad that this is the only tape where she's showing to consider Wooly as her friend, and not a tortured plaything for her amusement. But at the same time, I'm happy that Wooly is trying to cheer her up when she start to feel hurt and confused, despite everything he's been through because of her.

I think Amanda is two people at once. It's Rebecca and whatever demon is possessing her....that's how I'd like to see it. Some moments you see Rebecca but most moments you see Amanda...the demon, or whatever it is.

23:37 and 33:23 I have a feeling that these two parts here are indicating that Amanda herself (or whoever portrays Amanda in the tapes) is dead, Maybe she was murdered and left somewhere that she doesn't even know of or can't exactly remember. The kitten part might also link to this as she clearly becomes distraught when you choose not to help the kitten, maybe this triggered the memory of her own death? I don't know, just a small theory of mine.
Imo I think the kitten actually represents her situation. If you don’t help the kitty locked in a cage, it’s basically not choosing to help Amanda who’s stuck in her own predicament, hence why she freaks out.

Wooly is so much more patient compared to Amanda. Even though I never played the game, I honestly just think he is a great character.

I feel like what could also be happening is that Wooly just wants to pretend that everything is fine, and live in a happy place where nothing goes wrong, while Amanda wants someone to figure out that something is wrong and fix it. Amanda wants things to be fixed, and Wooly wants to keep the pain they felt in the past buried, even if it means existing the way they do.

So, basic theory of mine: Amanda IS Rebecca; or, at least, possessed by her in some way. I'm assuming the studio had some involvement in her death (notice how she says she can feel herself "rotting" in the episode about death, just like the dead fox...) and attempted to cover it up and her body has not been discovered, as Amanda says herself "I'm out there. SOMEWHERE.". In one of the older builds of the game (before it became available on Steam), one of the secret tapes does show a bird's eye view of a forest, potentially hinting where she's been buried. She clearly has some hatred for the studio itself as well it seems, as we saw she's potentially kidnapping + manipulating children in other secret tapes of the game, damaging their reputation. Could it be a form of vendetta for her own murder? Aiming to take the studio down with her? I also have a hunch Sam (the director + father) was involved. In the neighborhood tape, if you mention Sam instead of a rooster in the animal episode she goes "how did you-" before being cut off. That, and he's also missing...
