IIRC the game literally started as Gaijin's April 1st joke. They used to lean HARD on April 1st jokes. I mean, I don't follow, but they used to add Moon Battles, Walking MECHAS, Inflatable tanks that shoot potatoes and carrots to War Thunder, these were all available for a day or two and featured, like, real mechas, or moon tanks, that were fully fleshed out and completely different from everything else in the game, definitely tons of work.
Any idea from the concept team was added and this is the result
