    • @@kaschoolaccount7444 Oh.. Y-you do? Well, I wrote it for myself. For moss IS my favorite fungus-type-plant, tbh. :D But I will warn you, this is about five paragraphs long. lol but anyway here it is... What exactly is moss? Moss is a part of a plant family called Bryophytes. It has existed far longer than you'd think. For it has been around for millions of years, thus it being a strong and ancient plant. Its usually found in woodland areas but can be found rainforest, wetlands, alpine ecosystems, gardens, your mom, caves, and urban areas (Such as walls, roofs and pavement.) One thing the places all have in common, is that they can a high amount of moisture. Moss could live in dry places (probably not for long however), but in moist and wet places, moss will flourish and be full of life. The seasons will also affect the moss as well. Winter is probably the best for moss. The moss will peak in this frigid season due to the wet and moist characteristics of this time of year. How ever, in the summer sunlight and dry heat conditions could potentially dry out or put the moss in a dormant state throughout the rest of the season. Moss is different from other plants, for it produces no flower, bark, roots or seeds. Instead, it produces spores similar to fungus. But it does have a plant-like life cycle, both other plants and moss have an alternation of generations: #1gen Gametophyte and #2gen Sporophyte. The Gametophyte has half the genetic material as the #2gen Sporophyte, it forms when the sporophyte releases spores which start to divide the sperm cells travel from one generation to the next to fertilize an egg. Once fertilized it will begin to produce spores. Moss is a fairly complex plant so while there are gametophytes, there are also stems and leaves. Most stems often are short and frail especially by themselves. The colors of moss can vary from green to brown. In their infancy they are a bright green color because they have plenty of chlorophyll in their cells. For some moss stems, they can grow up to a few inches tall. Moss stems can look quite different in different climates, dry mossed leaves are folded or curled around the stem, wet moss's leaves are straight and unfurled. While it may not look the best to some, it is important to the ecosystem. Moss is a crucial need on a microscopic level to help insects and others survive by giving them a home and nutrients. There are two there are 20,000 species of moss that have been found around the world. The three mains are Pete Moss, Granite moss and True moss. Some people like to grow moss and terrariums because it is aesthetically pleasing and are usually displayed around the house. Thank you for ur time! :D

  • Our Hero trudges down the long and winding path as the morning's first light crests the hills towering over the river valley to the east. It has been an arduous many long days since they have known the peace of a restful morning. The valley narrows, and the path before our Hero branches upward, into the hills. The hills provide a vantage point, by which to achieve security from all angles, should danger pursue. Any other time, our Hero would choose the path of greater strategic value, and thereby greater toil, but a mysterious force tugs them instead to an overgrown offshoot, where the valley's many deltas subdivide into a series of smaller, dwindling creeks. Through the thickets and reeds, our Hero discovers an untrodden path, weaving in parallel with the gently whispering creek. As this unknown force leads them further into the dense growth along the path, thoughts begin to swirl in our Hero's mind. Thoughts of simpler times bubble to the surface - memories that could be mistaken for a dream, were it not for the distinct many lessons learned in youth at these times. Remembrances ebb and flow with the water's many serpentine contortions; emotions sway as do leaves in the delicate overhead breeze. Each step strips away the adamantine stoicism our Hero has become equipped with to deflect the arrows and blows of a life at war. After several minutes - or was it hours - a clearing lies before our Hero. Shaken from their trance-like state, they are abruptly aware that the sun's location is no longer apparent, though it is light out. A thick canopy of trees shields this place from the outside world. With a large, mossed-over boulder to the right, and the eternally-meandering creek to the left, our Hero decides that this might be the perfect place to take some rest. Your rest is long overdue, and well-earned. Until next time, brave Hero.

  • One thing (of many) I appreciate about Blue Turtle's music selection and video uploads: the playlist does not repeat. I follow several other channels with amazing art that tells stories, similar to here, but those channels repeat the playlist to increase the length of their videos - annoying and arbitrary. @Blue Turtle: you could probably start a merchandise selection, such as coffee mugs, ball caps, patches, etc. I'm sure people would buy from you. • The water trickled endlessly, preserving and ending the lives held in the confining glass box. Hours and hours were spent in the presence of the noise of the water, subject to all it did, and their only purpose was to preserve the sound that had grown to be truly hated. All that was yearned for was silence, free from the trickles of the endless cycle of water. Yet where the water remained, remained as the sanctuary all yearned to partake in and finally find a place to rest their weary souls. Paradise, peace, and rest for most, but for the seventh last occupant to ever permanently leave, it was a trap for unfulfilled promises to maintain the lives of beings they never wished to take into their care in the first place. The only way for the permanent citizens of the water to leave was through a porcelain portal to the unknown. Long is the wait for the true companion and longer still until true peace can be obtained. It is made tolerable and almost enjoyable with the art and movement wrought by gifted hands.
