The last two games were two of the best games I have seen this leaf squad play. Predicting which leaf team will show up tomorrow night is nigh impossible, however, because the only consistency this team has ever displayed is its ability to be inconsistent. I hope the same team that showed up last night, shows up on Saturday.

Yes! This aged so well but let's face it's the Ballard curse. The Leafs will not win until 100 years after the death of Ballard. That means years 2090. If the Leafs make it to the playoffs that year they might win since Ballard died on April 11 1990

James Duffy called this after game 4. They are probably going to win a couple games and then lose game seven in overtime to make it maximally painful. Probably lose a lead to go to overtime.

Sadly, even as a Leafs fan, I have to agree. Been here too many times. So I'm kind of at a point where I need to see them truly slay this dragon to believe it. I think they have every opportunity, and have looked much better in the past 2 games, but can they finally rise to the occasion? Just where I am with this team. But I hope they can do it.

I'm a very long time Islanders fan and said the Leaf's would win this series all the way through, even when they were down 3-1. They will not only win game 7, but they will also knock off Florida in the next round. I'm not as confident once they play the Rangers, as I do believe they beat Carolina with goaltending the difference. Toronto will make the final 4, and we'll see how healthy they are at that time, but a game 7 win here against Boston will be the confidence and beleaf that they need to go a long ways, plus they owe Florida for last years loss, so 2 ghosts will be taken care of soon and I am definitely not a Leaf's fan, just my unbiased opinion.

Here's how bad the Leafs powerplay is: God forbid, they give up a shorthanded goal. The powerplay percentage will effectively be zero per cent. (Down from 1/17). Compare that to the team historical average in the playoffs of 17 per cent. Out of mercy, bench Guy Boucher. And roll the first and second lines. You have nothing to lose.
