I dont really think anyone should be too surprised, 3 stars who play little defence, KD wasnt the best player when he got his rings and Booker wasnt the best when he went to the finals, Beal was never the best player the rare times he made the playoffs, none of them are play makers, they have no real point guard, the traded away the wing defenders, fired their coach, how did anyone think they were true contenders is beyond me.

90s Rockets teams were exactly who first came to mind, not a failure, just put together past their prime or just down right old (plus you had to deal with the Bulls 2nd 3-pete, alot of great teams fell short during that era), arguably if Barkley had joined a couple years earlier, they may have succeeded, Drexler only joined for the 2nd Rockets win....the version with Pippen never would have worked, even without Jordan's Bulls around (mostly due to him and his attitude) but also old age....could they have won before the Kobe/Shaq Lakers took over?... ask San Antonio

Disagree they played less then 20 games together(could be wrong but a low amount anyway) there a failure for completely different reasons if they had played as much as this trio they’d of had more success
