Let's do this! The Cult of Hockey podcast. By the Faithful and for the Faithful, tonight with Bruce McCurdy and David Staples. Tonight they dig into Edmonton's 4-1 win over the Kings of Los Angeles with their 2 Good Things, 2 Bad Things, 2 Numbers and 1 Conundrum podcast.
Skinner deserves the shut - out, he was fabulous!!! A lucky bounce and a quick pass and a one timed shot is the only shot that could beat the wall in Edmonton’s net, Stuart skinner.

Skinner looked comfortably like an NHL number one goalie Best game Oilers have played in months. I was impressed.

I’m liking the Oils recent physical play, it’s contagious and leads to success! Skinner was lights out, looks like he has maybe figured out how good he has to play in playoffs! Vinny ..what were you thinking a couple times? Henrique is looking great! LA sure seems to think these dirty players, like Lazotte etc will bring success..😆

awesome seeing the oilers dumping it in to break up the 1 3 1 style of the kings easy for third and fourth liners to do that but even the skill players were dumping it in that is very hard for superstar players to do because throughout hockey history those type of players hate giving up the puck but sometimes you have to do it that is a good sign
A tremendous game a lot of hitting and great back and forth game, LA gave them a great game

I agree with you David, RL needs to beat Perry out, he needs to up his game get meaner than a junk yard dog and grab the spot and make his mark, we'll see if he can do it

I gotta say this after watching the Kings beat Vancouver the night, that was a heavy game, I thought that the Oilers were in really tough. But, they pulled it off, sure there were a few fortuitous chances the Kings had that could of gone in,but they kept them out. Man, that was a good win, they figured out ways to get by them. Keep it up, really'd like them to win the cup, and bring it back to Canada
Bouchard always reminds me of Al Macinnis. He skates and handles the puck in exactly the same way. Big slapper too, of course.

Who didn't love seeing Kane's hit on Doughty, credit to Drew though he avoided getting completely blown up! This is a strange side comment but if anyone saw the post game scrums did you notice Jim Matheson, he looked like he was having a narcoleptic episode. I googled to see if he has a medical problem but didn't find anything. Weird comment I know but maybe someone knows something.
I hope we play the kings in the first round..not worried about them at all

Credit where it's due, Skinner played very well. Still some rather baffling D breakdowns, and that Dria penalty is something he has to get out of his game already, those type of penalty's will do them in yet again in the playoffs if they keep that up. But a lot more good then bad overall. Kane looked more energized tonight, so that's good to see. Same with Bouchard. I hope that lasts. LA is a team they should beat, and they did, so I rate the game 1 magical Pretzel 🥨

You're right about Drai... but Kings have a lot of extremely sneaky, dirty players. They know how to get under skin.
@@Swamp_gas12 Yes, Kings are very veteran in the dark arts. The Oilers really risked the Series with the Kings last year via a number of really bad retaliation penalty's from some core players. And it was a factor in the loss to Vegas imo. I'd hope they all get that now.
