    • I've heard that he's genuinely just super good with fans and very down to earth outside of competition. In 2021 and 2022 he was riding his weekends with excruciating pain, and still he took the time to smile and sign autographs and take pictures. I saw that at Cota 2022 he took pictures and smiled for his fans and in that weekend he was coming from one of the worst highsides Ive ever seen and his vision was still fusing and getting normal again leading to bad headaches aswell as the swelling and twisted arm. He also lived all of his life in his home town until just recently when he had to move to a big city for treatment to his injuries, but he has still stayed in his home country. Motogp riders in general I appreciate for not fucking off to Monaco or Switzerland the moment they get their first paycheck unlike f1 drivers and other athletes. Not that I don't understand why they do that and would probably do the same, but still.

The boy had multiple surgeries at the same location, had his bone cut short, and still came back just for the grit he has. He had nothing to prove. He was already a declared legend by 2019 end! • I remember Rossi dominating in 2002-2003 on a Honda and thinking there will never be anyone as dominant as he was back then, and then 2014 happened and Marquez won the first 10 races in a row. It just sucks that he’s had such terrible crashes and lost so much time due to horrendous injuries. Who knows the amount of wins and titles it has cost him

    • Just imagine if Honda didn't start producing dangerous bikes with midfield performance from 2015 onwards. If 21 yo 2nd year Marquez could win 10 races in a row with a bike that was just slightly better that the Yamaha, imagine what he could have done when he had fully matured and hit his prime at 26-30 years old. In 2019 he scored only 1st or 2nd with the exception of one Dnf (caught out when the Honda was more unridable than usual). That was on a machine that would be scraping for point with any other rider. I imagine that with a bike say, just 3 tenths off the pace he'd have all the tools necessary to win every single race in a season.

    • @@ExtremaRiderI've watched for a long time too. To say he has more talent than marc after 2 races in motogp only shoes you don't like marquez. I've never seen anyone pick a bike up with the front end sliding down the road consistently like marquez did but that aside. Let's compare their rookie seasons. After 2 races marc had a podium and a win, 41 points, hadn't been beaten by the equivalent bike. He actually never finished lower than 3rd with 1 crash and 1 disq all year. Pedro has 28 points even with sprints, has been beaten by the equivalent bike and has 1 podium gifted after a vinales mechanical (but a podium is a podium) A 7th, 8th and 9th. Not to discresit him, I've watched him all the way through and I hope acosta is the next big thing and makes the sport exciting like marc. But I can't see how the pair are even comparable right now. Let him win the championship this year, then maybe 10 wins in a row next year and will start to belive he can be the goat. Let's go pedro! #37

    • @@mickdunn4023Fyi, Marquez started pulling of those saves in 2014, in his rookie year of 2013 he only had one such save and it was on his elbow at Motegi if I remember correctly. I think Acosta has the same level of talent so I'm interested to see if he will start pulling those of soon. I miss 2018-2019 peak pre injury Marquez where we got to see those front end saves practically every session, for the viewer atleast as we experience the sport visually with our eyes it's just the ultimate showcase of skill.

To solve that proem they look at how many % of the total amount where podium. And there Marc isn’t nr 1. Rossi in 2003 hhad a 100% podium season. But yes it whhas the higest amount of races won in a season. But also not %. If you look at the last 34yers Mick Doohan is the record holder with 80% 12/15 wins. But if you look at the total history its Giacomo Agostini at the top in almost every list %.

That's actually a very successful outcome. He is no different than any other champion or rider when it comes to affecting other riders an having an occasional mishap. I'm sorry I'm not attacking Marc Marquez but if you see the first 2 years records for all the riders then Marc is no match in front of Valentino Rossi & Michael Doohan's records in MotoGP. Valentino Rossi has been on the podium for every race in season 2002 on the very first Repsol Honda 211V. And in 2003 he won Phillip Island (Australian GP) with a maximum margin time gap, even after getting a 12 seconds penalty in that race. Which is still a record in MotoGP. So where are you getting such wrong facts and informations god knows! Valentino Rossi left Honda because they started to think it was Honda which is winning and not the rider who is creating magic & Rossi proved them wrong by winning 4 MotoGP world championships with Yamaha which was considered a slow bike in front of Honda.
