  • Growing up I would throw a watermelon seed finesse worm all year long abs catch fish. It seems like the more baits you have and the more you think you know what will work the more it becomes difficult. Texas rig a worm year round and catch fish. Throw a bigger worm for fish that don't want to commit... worked my whole life.

    • When i still fished for bass a few years ago my absolute no 1 bait was a culprit tequila 6" worm. Always always always caught fish for me. Now my kiddo likes a lil bass fishing to pass the time between walleye trips and its one of his fav things to throw.

    • If you don't throw different baits you miss out on the experience of a different type of bite.I personally will mix it up when it's slow or real good and not only do you learn stuff ,you get a different feeling when you get slammed on a six inch swim bait or thumped on a jig for example.

  • I love it when you show us a brand new bait. We watch you catching huge SLAUUUUNCH’s and then go to the website and it’s fricken empty, “out of stock” will you please help the procurement person order enough damn PRODUCT please? Thanks My Man. Also it would be really cool if you were to show us close up the open ring freed rig you be running that’s catching fish. All I have at the moment is a mental picture I’ve formed from what you’ve described. Thanks brotha.

  • I have no idea where you’re fishing but if you happen to be fishing at a place that has little fishing pressure, I’m sure more baits will work. I have a private big fish lake that I go to sometimes and obviously more baits work there than public lakes.

  • Man i gotta say something worm fishing at any time of year, can lead to big bass especially in the winter time. Most people catch big bass on worms texas rigs, shakey heads, carolina rigs etc, but this is definitely not something new. Find the the school and catch em.... aka livescope...... but your swimbait fishing needs a certain technique and you have dialed it in!!!! Winter time fishing takes patience and some knowlegde, zoom 6 inch trick worm always does it aka what ever you perfer and color, different lakes leads to diiferent colors.... much love milliken>>>

  • How does the free rig differ from an unpegged Texas rig? Why use one over the other?

    @derickstufflebeam1624@derickstufflebeam16245 ай бұрын
    • A free rig falls with weight separate from worm a lot more due to the round eyelet placing less friction on the line. It allows more vertical worm presentation that is useful in spots like concrete banks. Meanwhile unpegged Texas falls more diagonal.

  • Nice !! Hey, what does "mud breast" mean? I've learned so much from you, might as well learn that too.. lol.

    @johngwilson730@johngwilson7305 ай бұрын
    • The fish literally have mud on that spot as they are laying on the bottom and not moving much. Probably because the overcast skies and falling water temperatures. Also why the Texas rig was working well.

  • Dude, Bass eat worms 24/7/365! As for Gamakatsu hooks… ABSOLUTE GARBAGE!!! Can't tell you how many absolute behemoth bass I've lost to those POS hooks! I've bought several packs over the years and have hooked into giants and either I fight them for a few seconds or minutes and feel the line Snap, or it feels like it snaps as I'm sitting the hook, but when I reel my line in my knot is still perfectly tied and 100% in tact!!! The eye of their hooks aren't always fully closed!!! And it's not the EWG hooks either, it's all of them! I gave them out to other anglers over time for free just to get rid of them and not throw them in the trash for some poor garbage man to get stuck. Sad because the hooks themselves are sharp and work well when the eye issue isn't present. Just won't ever buy another Gamakatsu hook because it's too much WORK to find Big'ns, only to lose them to something so absurd.

  • OMG the anti forward facing sonar crybabies are going the crap the bed. Tell them all to leave the rifle scope home the next time they go hunting. Hey Randy use iron sights for Christ sake - those advanced range finding and clearer scopes you hunters use are going to allow everyone to shoot a 12 point buck and decimate the deer population. These are the same type of people that said allowing crossbows during archery season was going to impact the deer population negatively and be an unfair advantage - Funny DNR studies in my state have shown no impact to the deer population and deer kills during hunting season have remained consistent over the past 20 years (despite “better” equipment and technology). It’s called the evolution with the times and it just might get more people into the sport…….
