    • It isn't the dog. It's the vibe you give off. My Chihuahua lived 2 months short of her 17th birthday. In her entire life she loved everyone and she wasn't aggressive to anyone and never barked except to alert me to a potential danger. She was the most intelligent of all the dogs I've had throughout my life. I'll be 76 yo on Sept. 11. I've had dogs since my childhood.

The Chihuahua we fostered had a pretty difficult life before he came to our home and unfortunately always was in fight or flight mode from trauma, however when he was calm he was a sweetheart and a cutie pie 😊 when he wasn’t trying to bite my ankles he was a pretty cool dude

  • Chihuahua's pick their person and create a very strong and loyal bond towards that person. I had one Chihuahua that bonded with me. He would let himself be petted by others but only when I was present, if not, he wouldn't. If I left him in my car (with my husband and kids), my husband said he would cry nonstop until I came back. He would follow me around, cuddle with me, protect me from dogs 100×his size, and nap with me. His whole body would shake from excitement, emitting little cries of pure joy, whenever I praised and baby talked to him. I still miss him everyday 💔
