After the dealer delivery experience I would've probably walked away :/ I've had a 219fs (239fs now) and I love the boat, layout and hull. But you've got to have a good dealer to have a good experience with any brand. I am 10 minutes into this video and all you've shown is some gel coat cracking that should be easily fixed. If you are going to go to this much effort to try and warn people about key west, get to the point and show the actual problems!

those stress cracks are from the factory. either the deck wouldnt release from the mold and they ran a bunch of wedges in to pop it, or they set it down too hard on that side when they rolled the deck over in rigging.

I bought a 2022 239 FS - first brand new boat I ever bought. As all boats in 2022, I paid a mint for it. There were some fitment issues, most of which were fixed. Overall I love the boat. Some of the issues I had (seats fasteners were all crooked) I latter found it was from the dealer, but mistakenly blamed Key West. As other posters said, before I gave the final signature for the boat we took it out on the water and the dealer pushed every single button on the boat. I gave it a good lookover (except the seats). If I saw gel coat cracks like what you have, I would have walked. I don't think Key West is a bad as you are describing, and there are multiple people at fault here. Should never have left the factory like this. Should have never left the dealer like this. The transport company might have something to do with some of the issues. It's too bad you are having all these issues, looks like you got a lemon. I hope they make it right for you and you get a chance to enjoy the boat like I am with my Key West boat, but I know this will never happen for you. I'm sure you will always look at it as a POS 30 year old beater.

I can see it in the intro and at the 13:00 mark where they didn’t seat the cap to the hull properly !! There should be a flush fit with the two pieces

I was looking to buy a boat this winter to be ready for spring time but it willnot be a key west bay boat. For the money this boat cost it should be in mint condition.

What are the issues?! Gelcracks, ttop? Did you do a thorough walk around inspections prior to taking ? I actually like this boat, had a smaller 17 ft. No prblms. If you have so much experience, why 29 hours later(5+ trips prbly), you're finding issues. Buy a boat, do your part to inspect thoroughly to minimize . Especially gel coat, running your hands over motor cover.! Not discountjng key west responsibility, they should step in....I wonder what they havent??haven't??? Marina should make it right!

not saying kw or dealer isnt at fault cause someone is at fault. BUT doesnt take away the fact that owner didnt get an inspection beforehand. i literally googled marine surveyor around me and found one that would inspect a BRAND NEW seahunt i am currently looking at. thats all it took. owner is mad because he didnt do any of that. i did the same thing when i bought a BRAND NEW house. peace of mind cost nothing. i would be upset and embarassed if i payed for a brand new boat and it was a lemon knowing that i could have gotten it surveyed.

You mention you have lots of experience with boats. Why did you not do a full walk around. If it had that many issues, why did you pick the boat up. Contact the manufacturer directly. Boat dealers and car dealers are the same. I’ve owned several key west boats. All have been great! Every boat manufacturer has issues. Sounds like your dealer wouldn’t contact the manufacturers rep. Next time, check the boat before you pick it up. Most of the issues you have should have been noted when you picked it up.
