  • As a comeback movie, Everything, Everywhere, All at Once was really an amazing vehicle. At different points in the movie he got to play the wimp, the kung fu bad-mutha, the forlorn romantic, and in the end, the hero who saved everyone. In this movie, he really was everything, everywhere. And he nailed it.

    • I think we assume how much power even directors have over their projects in big budget movies. It takes one executive or casting director to reject an actor like Ke and Spielberg can’t really change hollywood racism overnight. Can you even think of a hollywood movie or project that had asian actors in them? Hollywood is incredibly white especially in the 80s and 90s when Ke was trying to break out. Even George Takei the most famous american asian actor didn’t get a ehole lot of work after Star Trek.

After Harrison ford discussed Indy 5 it was the Marvel portion and Ke comes out for Loki and said he got lost and thought this was the Indiana Jones reunion panel. He seems like such a genuinely nice man and I’m excited to see what else he has in store for us. EEAAO is such a great showcase for what we’ve been missing out from him all these years.

Brendan’s race is a little less certain because Austin Butler has been performing well on the awards trail, too, so it’s a toss-up. Ke’s race is a lock. He’s winning that Oscar.
