Hi guys, back with another study video so you can start your academic year off right!

  • Can you now make a video on how you studied in the time you have planned - and how many hours per day have you studied? Have you also studied weekend? Can you give us a more detailed video about your active learning with examples and a red line? How did your flashcards looked like?

  • abbey! As a biochemical engineer in the states, I love your study videos bc they’re so real! I would love to hear your advice on professional development and how much you recommend working on that per day/per week! edit: my favorite tip is the one where you suggest doing something you enjoy thoroughly to take your mind off work AND that you’re really good at to give yourself a self-esteem boost before going into your more dreaded tasks. A lot of the time we avoid or procrastinate from fear of not doing well or not knowing how to tackle our task

  • Hi Abby, I'm so much thankful for this video since I'm preparing for my exams right now. All your tips have really worked for me so far to the extend that I don't want search for any other study videos in other channels. Sometimes I find myself in all three categories from time to time. Great job!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I am profile 3 too. It affects social life, health and grades. I have performed well in the first 3 years of my degree, but I got burnt out this year and messed up some grades. I’m hoping making question cards for active learning, reasonable working times so I don’t get burnt out and having more of a social life will help me get better grades. Thank you for this advice! Ps, do you have any exercises or advice for training deep thinking?

    @Chemflo48818@Chemflo488183 ай бұрын
    • Deep thinking is hard especially in a world of distractions like TikTok - but my advice would be to set yourself a period of time with no phone, no distractions and just getting into your work, if you can't get to it after that time then move on and do something else. But as you keep trying you will likely start finding it easier and then you can start doing it for longer too!

    • I don’t normally offer unsolicited advice, but this is an excellent question, and one that I have encountered myriad times within the sphere of music. What inspires someone to practice (good practice sounds bad). Truth be told, envisage a bite sized end goal and thinking of a way to measure your progress will yield some remarkable results. Be gentle with yourself. Yes it is cheesy, but if it were easy, then everyone would be doing it. Make a mental note of why your subject interests you. Do you wake up excited to learn? If not, then do you really need this skill/knowledge under your belt? I hope this helps. Very best wishes to you smashing your goals. All the best.

    • relying on motivation will only get you so far. that’s like if you told yourself you’ll only do homework whenever you’re happy.. that doesn’t sound productive. you need to have discipline
