Plotting Data: 1:38
Linear Regression: 3:23
Descriptive Statistics (Mean, Standard Deviation etc): 7:21
This is Tom from the Worldwide Center of Mathematics walking you through important and useful features of your TI-84 graphing calculator.
This TI-84 plus graphing calculator series is meant to be an instructional walkthrough that covers some of the most often used functions on a TI-84. This particular video covers statistics and shows the viewer how to enter data into lists, plot data, and calculate descriptive statistics. The software used in this video is TI-Smartview.
Thank you , needed this clarification right before an exam😉😊
thank you so much. been searching for the last half hour trying to figure out how to store data in the y list.
I just reset my calculator and was looking for this video. Lifesaver.
this is exactly what i needed, thank you for saving another life
Thanks for sharing. Can you also do probabilities on the TI-84?
DUDE, YOURE MY F***ING HERO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Dude, you are my awesome hero could’ve been more appropriate, but I get what you are saying. It was a great presentation!
Liked your first 2 videos...
SUPER HELPFUL!!!! Thanks so much for doing this... I was ready to throw my calculator out the window until I watched this.
Thank god I needed this
AHHH, THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! You saved me!!!!!!
Bruh this man is a legend
SUPER HELPFUL!!!!
I heart you!!!!! thank you for this video!! SOOO helpful!!!
That was awesome thanks
Thanks for this video it saved my behind.
Excellent !! Thanks.
When I pressed the LinReg(ax+b) option, it didn't give me the screen for putting in where to save it. It just calculated it without asking me for any data pools
Thank you
Ik this is old but fan-frickin-tastic video man
how would you find the mode? do any of those symbols represent that? thanks for the video :)
I dont think there is a specific function for that! Yet just look for the value that appears most in the data set and that will be the mode! - Hope this helped
There is no symbol on the screen for Mode. But you can go back to the main STAT screen and use the SORT(A) or SORT(D) feature to sort the data in a particular list either in Ascending order or Descending order. Once that is DONE, go back to the list and it will be sorted. Then just scroll down the lost and count the one that appears the most times.
ur my life saver
How did you record the calculator and screen on your computer?
which of these would show variance? my teacher taught us that variance was s^2 but that is not written anywhere in the TI-84 calculator for the 1-var function.
You can easily calculate the variance if you have the standard deviance. Sx = √S^2x ----> so if Sx = 2 then S^2x = 2^2
Diagnostic on can be turned on in the MODE function; if you use the catalog you can access directly to it by Judy hitting the letter and it will go to that start - in this case just touch the letter D
Thank you! This fixed my error domain when I used Stat Test 6 and B
thankies
4:18 I don't get up this list after clicking LinReg(ax+b). I'm using a normal TI-84 plus though, is that why?
This is a feature called "Stat Wizards" which is available on some but not all earlier versions of the TI-84, you can look for it in the MODE menu or in the CATALOG. If it is not available on your calculator you simply enter the arguments at the cursor separated by a comma.
@@jonjensen2464 Great, thank you!
WHERE DO I GO TO FIND THE WEBSITE OF CALCULATOR
Thanks! I somehow couldn't find "stat"
watching this one hour before the exam :P
Yap
oh yeah? watching this 45 minutes before the exam. >:)
lmao 1 hour before too i am sooo failing
Ay yo you are a legend
Albashir do you understand?
Thanks Morty
Thank you bc my math teacher is terrible at explaining
Goddamm hero
Refresher Stats.... :( It has been 1989 since I had taken this stat class
do you mind my asking why you have to get reacquainted with it? just wondering if you're using in a real-world application
he has a good question
I'm so lost. I beginning, my 2nd key did not take me anywhere
dang bro that calculator be so confusing and very complicated
This calculator actually is not the best choice for statistics. If you do multiple statistics problems, cumulative error results. This is even after clearing your lists. The only way I have found to correct this is to reset the ram. The only problem with that is then you lose all your programs and data. I would not trust this calculator on a statistics exam.
if that calculator can do all that mean it should be called a phone
