A young, gangly Norwegian took to the Bundesliga stage for the first time in January 2020 and immediately made history. Three goals on his debut - and doing so as a substitute. Incredible in itself, but Erling Haaland has in fact gone on to improve yet further in every respect. Still only 21, he's already had a career most players could only dream of. I knew Haaland was good from the start, but I still remember the time when I started realizing how good he really is, and that’s when I was watching the game against Leipzig, and Haaland bullies off the Upamecano like he’s nothing then clinically finished in the opposite corner 💪🏻. He had done many incredible things up to that point, he had scored 4 goals in a game and stuff, but I just remember that moment so well, because it was at that moment I realized that Haaland had skill and that it wasn’t luck 🍀. People get lucky in football at times, but that goal against Upamecano, was just pure force and talent, and luck wasn’t involved 🔥
