You provide incredible details that are so helpful in deciding which program to choose. Can’t wait to brush up on my French 😊
I want to learn French because I’ve taken French 1/2 in HS and I’m going to Europe in the summer!
Nice! Good luck!
Thanks for the insight. Very helpful.
Another great review. Thanks 🙏
Thank you!!
I would like to learn French because one of my best friends is from France. He often talks about the culture and how wonderful France is. My friends and I are planning a trip to France and he would help give us a personalized tour of France. Learning to speak French would be very useful for better immersing into the culture and getting the full experience. Thanks,
Yeah, you'll get a much better feel for the true culture if you can speak even a little French. Good luck!
Thank you
Excellent review, thank you!
Thanks!
Thanks for the review
No problem 👍
Great review for main concepts covered in each app!
Thank you!
Heading to Paris this summer and looking for an app to learn French before we go. This was helpful!
Going to France next year, thanks for the written guide and this video.
Thanks for the video
No problem!
I appreciate this video👍🏻
Glad it was helpful!
Great review
Good info. wee wee!
Thank you, again! Although I'm studying Italian now in anticipation of our trip to visit extended family in Anagni, Italy, we will be flying into Nice, France, so it couldn't hurt to have a few critical phrases on hand for the transition!
For sure! Have fun :)
I really want to learn French because I've always wanted to travel to France for their incredible historical site and their food. Hope to learn it in 2 years.
I’m interested in learning Spanish, but I want to watch videos that compare how all the language apps compare across the board with all languages. I think that a learning app that is constantly good with all of their languages, is definitely worth considering
Visited France this past year and was a bit worried since people kept telling me that I'd be treated poorly since I'm American, but everyone there was perfectly amicable, especially if you at least attempt to speak their language (even though I was terrible at it, it still seemed to remove a certain barrier 😅)
100% true! I have found the same
Well done Best Apps To Learn French 2024. Thanks
I want to learn French because I learned French in HS and want to be a flight attendant with flights to France
I think it’s an important language to learn because it is used or widely known in many parts of the world beyond Europe including Africa, the Middle East, and North America. Thanks!
Hello, thanks for your reviews. What's your opinion about French Together App?
Haven't reviewed it yet, but will definitely add it to the list. Thanks for watching!
Thx
I learned spanish thanks to your review ,And It worked I am learning french soon ,because I trave a lot.
That's great!
Even though I'm learning Spanish right now. Learning French is part of my bucket list. The reason I want to learn it is because I have lots of family members who speak French. And I am eager to speak alongside with them.
Nice! Thanks for watching
I want to learn French because I already know English and Spanish and need something challenging
Good call! Should be a challenge
what app do you recommend for someone who took 3 years of french in high school and college but is now pretty rusty? thanks!
Rocket or Pimsleur!
Would you suggest combining 2 products? Such as Rocket with Rosetta stone
This is an excellent question. I was wondering the same thing about a year ago. I have both Rocket Languages and Rosetta Stone, as well as a few other apps I really like. After a whole year of using multiple apps daily for learning 2 languages simultaneously, here’s my opinion. Two apps is a GREAT way to learn more and faster, BUT only if you have two apps that are different in teaching styles and complement each other. Example: I would NOT recommend doing…. Babbel and Busuu. They are too similar. Both are excellent, but they are almost identical. I would also NOT recommend doing Rocket Languages and Pimsleur, again because they are both VERY similar in teaching styles. That said, I think Rocket Languages is your BEST first bet. Then combine with Babbel or Busuu. I personally didn’t like Rosetta Stone. I found it very dated and clunky. Especially if you want to do lessons on your phone, it’s awful. Rocket is the BEST. Babbel and Busuu are both excellent for short lessons. I personally prefer Busuu because it so has a HUGE community of native speakers you can practice with and get feedback from. I also still use Duolingo daily, but more as a game than an actual learning tool. Good luck 👍 PS: John’s promo codes for Rocket Languages are the BEST discount you will find anywhere. Trust me, I looked all over for the best deal. He has it. He also has reviews on Busuu as well. He seems to like Babbel over Busuu, I like both, but I like Busuu more.
Couldn't have said it better myself! Thanks for chiming in here :)
Yes! Those two would be an excellent combo :)
I was thinking of learning French as I live almost exactly near the border.
You should!!
I hope to visit Paris one day. So this was helpful.
You should! Thanks for watching :)
I’ll be traveling to France!
Nice!!
much needed thank you 🫡
Great language to learn
For me, Pimsleur is the best. No nonsense, no childish games. One app-even after 50+ lessons asked me to translate to French, ‘I am a little girl’. Forget that stuff. I want to get down to business, no bs. No rewards, no tones. Just learn the language.
Then you got it nailed, Pimsleur would be a good fit
👌🏼
One of my dreams is to be a polyglot but I only know English fluently lol
I recommend learning a language if you have a foreign friend who speaks English, I learned a second language with the help of a native speaker :)
I learned some French, only for a class though. I just figured it was easier than spanish😂
Oh I don't know, French can be pretty tough haha
@TestPrepInsight I agree, I was just worried about rolling r's 😂
Rocket is the chapm, takes you from zero to hero
haha thanks for watching and sharing!
babe please change the script up a bit it’s so repetitive in almost all of your videos 😭😭
It is, but he does cover all the important points that are helpful. I found his videos REALLY helpful when I first found this channel. Now it is a bit repetitive, I see these as more of a buying guide than a review or podcast. For what he does, this is by far the best channel on KZhead. Other language review videos are often long, rambling, and highly opinion based. That has its place too, but these short/informative videos are great for people who just want to know the basics of how apps work. I started with Duolingo, but because of this channel I found Rocket Languages, Pimsleur, Busuu, and Mondly, all of which I enjoy and use daily. Personally I think he should keep these videos exactly as is, but consider adding additional long form reviews and podcasts that dive deeper into info, experiences, and opinions.
I hear ya, but the issue is that most language programs don't vary too much based on which language they are teaching, so whether you are learning French, Spanish, Italian, etc, our recommendations on which apps to use or our overviews of them don't change too much. So I end up saying a lot of the same stuff about each app across videos - but that's kinda the point - I'm trying to be consistent and provide helpful info on each app.
Thanks for jumping in here! I appreciate that. And you're right, these short videos are meant to help people as they start their language learning journey and are looking for advice on where to begin and what these apps are all about
I find your videos easy to listen to, and easy to retain the information. Well done!
