That dude with the hockey mask has to be one of the most badass henchmen ever. Dude came within inches of killing both protagonists and tanked crazy damage.
Ох, уж этот чувак в хоккейной маске...
All the masks of the bad guys In this were all crazy, brilliant movie.
That gear change at 3:50, out of the smoke for a chance, engine RPM and the music was so beautiful.
Man when that happened they all a sudden are going super fast. What was an entrapment and slow down was then a high speed chase. LOVE THIS PART, Plus the tanker explosion.
Dude who stabs Furiosa has one of the most legitimately scary designs I've ever seen in anything.
I like the creepy doll-face at the back of his head. I wonder if its inspired by those masks that people wear to avoid tiger attacks.

He is the most badass evil guy in the whole film, he knocked out the old lady, almost kills Max, got stabbed by Furiosa but remained in the fight and stabbed her back with her own knife, insane guy.

@Orion V. Nah, i think Renner would have pulled it off. Glad they went with Hardy tho.
The action is so complex and fantastic yet every beat is so clearly drawn it's never confusing.

Muhammad Meizar Farizky I think it’s because they story-boarded the hell out of the action during the long development process - so every shot was carefully considered and composed before they even arrived on set. They didn’t just make it up on the day and sling it together in post production with some shakey-cam to disguise the action transitions.

It’s almost as if getting stabbed made furiosa even more determined, I mean look at her face after she rams into that car. Even Nux is like “ oh shit!”
she probably realizes she's going to die soon, that stab being a fatal injury, and so wants to make her remaining moments among the living count.
That's what I love about this scene. She gets stabbed and the war party circles her. You think it's all over, BUT THEN THAT RED BULL JUST KICKED IN!!
And then there is Max with a face that tells "fuck.....that was my car"
Right!!!

I love how as the war rig comes back to life after Nux reactivates the first engine and fight it’s last battle, so does Furiosa.
Yeah, even Batman knows the good shit! Btw why didn’t you fight Steppenwolf, too weak for him?
The war wasn't dead to begin with, engine 2 was burnt because nux and max were blowing fuel into it for boost
One of my favorite things about this movie was that the "henchmen" weren't just useless cannon fodder. You never knew if they guy they knocked out would wake up in the next scene and wreak havoc, or of the guy they knocked off managed to hold and and sneak around somewhere else...
You also never know if the seemingly skilled, important guy is going to end up unlucky and killed off suddenly. Like the driver of the People Eater's rig, this imposingly armored, entirely covered soldier-looking guy, and he's clearly respected enough as he's directly ordered by the People Eater and trusted to drive that mobile fuel refinery. But he gets tossed to the side and run down by the chasing group in his first few seconds in combat.
This whole film is a fucking masterpiece. Quite possibly the greatest action movie ever made.
Tamer Ciftci it is getting a sequel. George Miller and Warner Bros are settling a lawsuit
@Tamer Ciftci It's not confirmed but it's not ruled out yet either. Miller had plans for 2 sequels but legal issues between him and Warner Bros have been delaying the process.

I love the cause and effect of this movie. Furiosa getting stabbed is a direct result of the pole guy in the black mask not falling under the wheels as they once thought. You've gotta double tap in this Wasteland

Best movie of 2015. Arguably the best of last decade. George Miller is outstanding
It's will remains as a great movie for next 10 years too... Until George Miller releases his next movie!
Breath of fresh air this film in a sea of comic book films.
We need more like it, really bad. Superheroes overran the industry for over a decade like invasive weeds in a garden, and gems like this were the few flowers that managed to grow through.
I love all the unspoken teamwork at play here. Nux saving Max and Furiosa by kicking Max onto the People Eater's rig. Max moving the rig to let Furiosa get out of the trap the War Rig is in. Max then moving the rig to shield the War Rig. All of it without any of them saying a word other than Nux getting Max's attention to let him know he's about to kick him.
Right
It's called cinematography. And this is legendry
yeah it's called expert filmmaking
The editing, sound design, music, camera work, its just orgasmic. 03:58The way furiosa crashes into the flamethrower car and the camera zooms in on her face before it fluidly sweeps across the scenery afterwards while the music hits another level of intensity...we'll never get so anything like this movie again.
3:50 The war rig emerging from the trail of dirt, like a demon EPIC
Fucking love that part, the war rig is my favorite part of the whole film.
that transition to the left is awesome. love that part.
when that second V8 comes back to life and you hear its primal roar and see the lights stop flashing and the revs rising, sends chills down my spine.
As well the part just before it, where you hear the dissonant rattling and groaning of the other rigs as they box it in, overpowering the score - that moment is chilling in the same way. Fear for the war rig and its crew.. and then fear for the ones against the war rig.
The war rig felt its masters pain and decided enoughs enough....everyone attacking it itll take all of them with it one way or another.
It just occurred to me that the dude in the black mask successfully injured both protagonist
Its so crazy how protective Furiosa became of Max.
Yes
Not crazy, it's normal, he helped them afterall...

That scene at the end of this clip is the greatest action scene ever filmed, and the score is utter perfection. This movie is a masterpiece.
This movie definitely is worthy of the Mad Max name.
The way the soundtrack wails with Furiosa as she gets stabbed and sees everything going wrong is just some incredible craftsmanship.
That scream gives me chills
It’s amazing how much is going on at one time at 1:40. While driving the war rig, and holding on to Max, she gets stabbed and sees the girl kidnapped in the other car. Absolutely incredible.

The score, the expressions of every and each extra, the customs, the sense of geography, the practical effects, the edition, all perfectly blended into a chaotic scene without leaving the audience lost neither underestimating their intelligence. This is by far the best picture of decade. All the prizes well deserved.
Love the part where Joe tries to shoot max. That small moment when hero and villain finally interact. 👏👏👏
This is one of those movies you have to watch in a theater. I was PUMPED when the credits rolled, you can bet your ass I went back for more.
i remember seeing this film in a theater with a very big screen and very loud audio, right after that truck explosion, i realized i was holding my breath the whole sequence
I love Max's move so much at 1:14! Don't know why but it's so satisfying to watch.
even better - you can tell it’s his stunt double in that shot 😎
Without a word it: Shows Max risking being thrown off the truck to keep the truck cab safe. Furiosa reacting to save Max, even if it means putting everyone in a bit more by slowing the truck. Max and Furiosa for a moment acknowledge it. ... Moment passed! Fury road stops for no one! But that does make a moment mean more.
This makes Fast and Furious look like a game rated E.
At 2:50 I never noticed Nux kicked him onto the other car. To save all their lives. Love this movie
Honestly, these guys are all MASTER car-fighters. Like who'd even think to do that? Yet it seems so natural. And its a level of competency that's not uncommon even amongst the mooks - like black mask doll-face guy, who catches himself under the rig and comes back to deliver one of the most important knife-strikes in the movie. That such a level of skill is just COMMON amongst these people really says so much more about this world they live in than any exposition could.
Tom Hardy is so badass, he doesn't even flinch when rips the arrow out of his hand
Every movie should be like this. Every second should matter. Every action has consequences.. Every act shows character.
Look how much stuff happens to Max in just 5 minutes. Everything so fluid and cohesive. What a masterclass of filmmaking this movie is.
2:20 when I saw this scene I thought, "He's gonna get his car back" sad he didn't but still a great movie
I know the best part of this video is when furiosa gets stabbed and the killer eyes but I love 3:50 the war rig coming out the sand like a monster in a sick transition to the left
Certainly a beast of a movie. So much going on. From the Chastity belt and women washing to the awesome cars and trucks. The desert. The clothing. The actors. Its a masterpiece.

Holy Fuck no way, that's an awesome find

@@JohnSmith-mk1rj damn fucking right. Priest and Mad Max go so well hand in hand, I'm surprised that they never used any of their songs in the movies. Electric eye would have made for a great song in either road warrior or thunderdome.
@@RudiW1510 oh hell yeah. Dunno why I didn't think of Electric Eye. Seriously tho there's just so many Priest songs that would work perfectly with Mad Max it ain't even funny. I don't own the record with Turbo Lover on it, cuz I can't stand that record and I consider it Priest's only mistake (everyone is allowed one. And they came back with Painkiller, so they redeemed themselves perfectly), but even Turbo Lover would work as a background song during an action scene. 'You've got another thing comin'' would work better though. Pretty much every song from Metallica's Kill 'Em All would work too. Phantom Lord would be a great Boss Theme. Not fer nuthin,' but Mad Max movies are metal AF and I think Fury Road was a helluva comeback for Max. I don't understand why there's no 'Dio fingers' or 'headbanging' emojis but please imagine them here.
@@JohnSmith-mk1rj imagine Monster of Rock as Immortan Joe's theme. Originally I had Guardians and Rising from ruins in my mind (though Fury Road was released in 2015 and Rising from ruins was released as a track on Firepower, in 2018.). But Painkiller suits the none stop explosive action of the scene by far better. Halls of Valhalla would have worked too, since this (if I'm not mistaken) the final action scene and that's where Furiosa and Max are kind of heading towards (the citadel is almost heaven, compared to the rest of the wasteland.) Blood red skies (a song that gives me a full erection and tears of joy whenever I hear it) would be too theatrical for a brachial action scene like this. It's better suited for a movie like Highlander. Hell, if soneone asked mr to describe the sound of Judas Priest in a very illustrious way, I'd say it's like a brick wall tank coming at you with the speed of a Ferrari, with the thunderour roar of an ancient beast. And if that doesn't bring the Mad Max trucks to your mind, I don't know what does.
@@RudiW1510 Somewhere, somehow, Crazy Train should be on a Mad Max soundtrack too, even tho it's kinda sorta played out and is being used in commercials for dish detergent now practically. That kind of stuff makes me sad, like hearing a Black Sabbath song used that way does. Plenty of movies and videogames have records associated with them featuring songs that didn't make the OST but still fit. There could be a whole series of Mad Max Metal Records featuring 'driving' type songs like 502 from Megadeth, Highway Star from Deep Purple, Green Machine by Kyuss (so many great Kyuss songs would fit) and about a million others. The next Mad Max movie needs to have some officially licensed songs in it, or put another flamethrower guitar player on another truck and have him just play riffs or something. Or have Max carry a CD or tape or something. He needs a new car anyhow. He should put a system in it. With a massive subwoofer. 😂
