My husband wore one for a couple years when his work wouldn't allow a goatee. NOT a fan. Guys can have whatever facial hair they want, same as ladies can have any haircut they want, but we don't have to LIKE it. I don't like mullets, beehives, the "Kate Gosselin" cut, eye-skimming bangs (my eyes itch just looking at them) and I don't like mustaches. I am now 25.) and so I can definitely agree that sometimes eating greens and walking just really is not enough to lose weight. I didn't lose weight until my eating disorder reached its peak and I almost died.

    @pastelkittykitty@pastelkittykitty7 ай бұрын
    • Ok yeah there are exceptions…but I’d still say that a vast majority of obese people could lose the weight with effort.

      @jayhay8@jayhay87 ай бұрын
    • @@jayhay8 It took retiring from a high-stress profession and getting counseling for the trauma of it, having my immune system attack my pancreas with C071d, and finding a medication to help remedy the resulting loss of insulin for me to lose weight. I'd been on diets since I was a young child with little to no effect (poor people can't always afford good food), and even swimming and walking constantly in college only helped me drop a few pounds. The good old American grind mentality is likely a huge contributor to the bad old American weight problem, and high stress triggers hormones that make you store fat if you're genetically predisposed to it. It takes more than just effort for many people.

My poor mom (who came with me and was my ride home from the hospital) was so confused and all I could tell her was that my veins decided to be nice today. Meanwhile crows are actually FOOT shaped, and don't cram your toes to the front. There are also toe shoes, basically shoes with toes, which I think are pretty neat. I have crocs too, and they are comfy. They do have holes that aren't the best, but overall, the shape is shaped like an actual foot so your toes aren't crammed up together.

  • Thank you Dr Mike for improving the safety for nut allergy sufferers on long distance flights. When I recently flew with my partner we were pleased with the staff and all the allocations and support they gave us for his allergies and for my ADHD. I honestly think that my experience on a flight was mainly anxiety provoking because of my medication and if I had something to help me sleep (and maybe more time for me to adjust to the new dosage for my ADHD meds) it would have made me less prone to meltdowns at LAX. Overall, I appreciate how your work has improved a lot of lives.

  • As an Optical Lab Technician at a large private practice in Canada I can confirm, for eyeglasses yes, it is monopolized by a few frame distribution companies. These companies have now in recent years also taken majority shares in lens manufacturing companies, physical optometry/dispensing stores and online retailers, completely spreading over the entire market. It is making it hard for independent optometry/dispensing offices to keep up with access to new technology and low pricing. This even trickles down to affect medical equipment sales and tech support for independent practices.

    • @@TheAverageDutchman I'd advise to buy glasses at a state clinic, not even at independent stores. If there's an ophthalmology department, there usually will be a store right there. • My husband had fungus on one of his toenails, and couldn't be bothered to do anything about it. Then, one day, he injured the toe in question, and asked for my first aid advice. It was clear that he was going to lose the nail, since it (the nail) was broken, and half lifted off the toe. So, besides getting things to treat the injury, I also ran to the pharmacy to grab a topical fungal treatment. Since he was able to actually apply it under his toenail, the treatment worked really well. His new toenail has grown in most of the way, and there is no sign of the fungus.

As it became more prevalent nobility slowly used fewer spices other than salt bc they wanted to show off how high quality the meat was, the logic was that peasants needed to use spices to mask the flavor of lesser quality cuts of meat that may be spoiled and taste Bad therefore fewer spices highlights luxury meat. It’s dumb but it happened 😂
