Xiaomi Smart AirFryer - Full Walkthrough Review [Xiaomify]

Xiaomi's Smart Air fryer is here! I've tried it out over the last few months, and I've tried it with my friends from Zikoland, to cook up some delicious chicken strips!
The Xiaomi Air fryer has a 3.5-liter capacity and a wide temperature range from 40˚C - 200˚C. It connects over Bluetooth and WiFi to install it using Xiaomi's Mi Home APP, from where you can remotely control it, schedule programs, load programs, save your own programs and set up smart home automation rules.
In use, it's been super convenient, as I have been using it over the last few months and I am comfortable in saying that I really like it. I also have to point out that I have never owned an air-fryer prior to having this one, and I feel that I have been missing out!

  • You can also make soft or hardboiled eggs in an airfryer, I do it in mine all the time. For a soft boiled egg (in my airfryer) its no pre heating , and then put the eggs in the basket and put them in for 9-10 minutes on 120°c. No need to poke a hole in the eggs, you can just put them in.

    • Always poke a hole in the egg, extremely dangerous as the egg can explode and potentially cause 2nd degree burns

  • The halfway beep is actually THE feature I miss on most airfryers. We need more Xiaomi products to be available here in The Netherlands tho. I am in love with the brand an their products, but the import, shipping and tax fees are killer.

  • Excellent review as always. So much information, given quickly and clearly. I'm a Xiaomi devotee as well (I'm in Shanghai) - we've bought so many things from them and not one dud (touch wood!!!). Keep doing your thing, you have a winning method :)

    • @@robertsivonjic5080 I got one now, and sale for $60. So buying 2 of them is not that expensive right now. 2 of them is a total of 7 litre capacity, the Philips airfrier i looked at, with 7.3 is $200 right now.

  • I asked for a rice cooker for Christmas/my birthday and got this instead, because my dad got them confused haha I can't complain tho, it's amazing 💗 The only thing is, I eat rice every day, but I didn't have fried meals in months, so I feel bad it was such an expensive present 🙈 I have to start air frying stuff more often now haha

  • Dear Xiaomify, is there any way to change the display into minutes and second? For example for now it shows 00:05 (minutes) but actually it 4½ minutes left. So it should be displayed at 00:04:30 or 04:30 and counting down. Thanks

  • When do you spray oil when cooking/using air fryer? Coz I found others use oil sprayer, at first I thought this is oil-free, right, but why are they using oil sprayer?

    • Without oil is food dried (little), but I dont use oil and dont have problems, for me it is tasty. Frozen prepared food, like wings or so is sometimes oiled and then it is for me not so tasty.

  • I have had this appliance for about 7 month. It’s been good so far approximately but I have some problem with cooking whole chicken in it. The look is so great and delicious but the inside is not cooked properly. This is my first air fryer and I don’t have any references to compare just like you. I’m looking forward to finding that what the problem is. Is it that the air fryer not being proper for this kind of dish or the problem is the power of Xiaomi air fryer?

    • You can put it frozen. I dont have this, I have 2 Tefal (big and small), but I put frozen wings, strips, potatoes, chicken, fishes, ... and simply start it. I use it for hamburger meat too :-)
