I have been told some smaller live steam models, 3.5" or 5" stuff, include super heater flues that have more of the effect of drying the steam rather than superheating it, so its done in smaller scales, but id assune somethit zumas size wouldnt particualy strugle with drawing very wet steam like a 5" loco would

the bit about super heating and the short boiler, the some of the ffestiniog have superheating and their boilers are only about 6ft long

They would indeed since they're also designing their own boilers. Most recently for the new James Spooner. Their CME Jon Whalley is widley acknowledged boiler engineering authority.
