It was 1989, I was 16, my boyfriend was 19. He was working far away & I didn’t know if I’d see him again, I’d lay there with my little self, crying listening to this on repeat. Fast forward to 2024, we’ve been married 34 years & we have 5 beautiful children. We’ve been through lots of ups and downs but in the end, I was with him, & it was so worth it. At the time, I was just driving home from work and I heard she had dedicated this song for me. As soon as I got home, I picked up the phone and called her! I met the love of my life back in 89 (year this song was released)..she had to go back home to England so we were oceans apart...the lyrics to this song matched us perfectly as if Richard wrote it for us. We are still happily married to this day :-)

I have just found this Wonderful song. I used to listen it back 2009 as my girlfriend liked it. After 14 years, I still love this song.
This takes me back years and years. I was teenager and had my first real love at 14. She was 15. Two different worlds met and as so often happens it was far from good but damn those feelings... so strong...i would do anything for her. We broke up many times but always knew it was us that was supposed to be. She played this to me alot and we stayed together for 7yrs.
