Nice footage! That looks like a pretty knarly pit!
The pit does have its good moments but sometimes people cant make it very far.

Lunched motor at 10:44. Bummer. I heard it drop power right before he stopped moving. Sounded good though. Thought he was gonna make it.
Too much slop in the pit. Need vehicle speed as well as tire speed for that.
I feel like they should build a second pit that's not as aggressive because only the trucks with tons of horsepower stand a chance of making it. Good show though.
Maybe but there isnt enough room.
@@MidnightMadness4x4 I think if they narrow the main pit and put two narrower pits they could pull it off, that pit is pretty wide. Of course you could then run into the issue of the pits being too close to the walls, hard to tell without having been to the facility. To me these events aren't as fun to watch if only the high dollar trucks that skim over the top can make it. While those are fun to watch, what makes these events cool to me is for regular people to be able to bring in their street trucks and compete with them. I'd like to see a monster truck with some good tires try that pit, maybe with a little waterproofing.
@@MONSTERJAMFAN86 they probably could but that would mean mud trucks get their own event and the same for tuff trucks.
I'm ignorant.... Why are some of the trucks quiting when they are 3/4 the way through?

Yeah he was there with his lifted civic. I dont know what made him think they were going to let him run or that he would make it through witb 2wd (no front driveshaft)
