  • This is giving me epic The Last Airbender nostalgic vibes. But vibes from the life they would’ve had after they defeated the fire lord… this show deserved the live action remake to be better 🫤.

    @FilmsSilent@FilmsSilent2 ай бұрын
    • Agreed. The writing is so awkward in the remake, it makes Aang so 1-dimensional...

    • I think the original show had the potential to have as many episodes as One Piece. Could've just let the characters grow up like Goku and Vegeta in Dragon Ball.

      @goodelucky@goodelucky2 ай бұрын
    • @@goodeluckyI just had this brilliant idea. If they wanted to make this into a game of thrones then they had the perfect story foundation to do so if they chose to tell the story from after Aang defeats the fire lord. ozai is still alive, Azula is still alive and they could be manipulating behind the scenes to regain power. Ozai could be manipulating Aang to get his bending back, etc. You could even throw Iroh into the mix. Suki and Ty-Lee could be in a love triangle with Sokka. Long Feng is still alive, the Dai-Li are still around and challenging Aang as he is dealing with all sorts of drama as he tries to reconcile the fire bender colonies on Earth kingdom land. I could go on and on. Old fans wouldn’t be pissed because this is a new thing. And new fans would be intrigued! Instead they think they have to rewrite something that is already a masterpiece and make it worse??? 🤨 They didn’t have to mute / change the characters to make it more appealing to a more mature audience. All they had to do was stick with the same characters, but put them in more realistic war like situations and watch them grow up from being silly kids. This would have been way more interesting. But I think the writers were manifesting their own incompetence subconsciously through Aang’s weak dialogue : “I have no idea what I’m doing”

      @FilmsSilent@FilmsSilent2 ай бұрын
    • @@goodeluckyoh I almost forgot. When I saw how weak and tiny the comet and firebending looked in the beginning, I thought this was a deliberate attempt to be a joke. Sozin even has to tell us through dialogue to explain that his bending is more powerful??? Instead of showing???

Reminded me of how far I've come and how your music used to calm me down, help me sleep and I'd practice synaesthesia techniques to see if I can "see" colours in the music. I've definitely grown now I'm not suffering from depression and insomnia much but my synaesthesia ability has kind of weakened - it's there just not as strong. Overall this mix was nostalgic and took me back to 2021 when I first discovered your music.

    • Thanks, glad to hear🙏🏻🤍 I have done and will do commosion Artworks for Albums such as my Avatar Albums, 'The lonely Children' and my upcoming Album 'The Castle in the Sky'. But for simple mixes like these, a good artwork is too expensive (500-800€) and i would make a lot of loss. I understand the critic about AI art, but at the same time i really enjoy the freedom to get exactly what i had in mind for the artwork. Also i can put my Budget into animation, like i did for this one. I think i have overall a bit more open minded view on this AI Thematic, since i dealt a lot with Art/Music from a philosopical aspect and also dealt with AI from a Programmer view (since i study Bioinformatics). But yeah i think this would go beyond the scope of this

      @SimonGrossMusic@SimonGrossMusic2 ай бұрын
    • @@SimonGrossMusic There are plenty of real artists who drew Aang and Katara like this who wouldn't mind if you asked permission and credited. This use of AI honestly comes across as disrespectful, and I can't imagine why, as an artist yourself, you would think this is ok to do, even if you frame it as 'being open-minded'. Theft is theft even if you're open minded about it.

    • @@cloverbun2574 Thanks for sharing your view on this. In the past i have tried to reach out to various Artist that did ATLA Artworks or did Anime style Artworks in general. Sadly the large majority doesnt Response when reaching out via Email, Artstation or Instagram. The few ones answering didnt give permission. But feel free to name a fews you liked, always open to find new talented artist to work with. For the ones that dont Response, i cant use the Artwork. Cause that would be Theft. Only if i have a clear permission, i will use it, other then some other channels. In the past i have used for larger Projects, commisioned Artworks. And for smaller ones bought Stock Images. I have to say, Stock images most of the time didnt really satisfied what i was looking for. This Mix turned out way more succesful than i excpected, which would allow me to commision an real artist. But to be honest, i didnt expected it. I would be really interessted, why you call using AI art theft. I have a general understanding on how different AI models work, and i dont see in any of them theft. At least not more than humans get inspired by art. Artist get Trained by their enviomernt and other art, so does AI. If AI Steals from artist, i would not use it. But it AI gets inspired by art, than thats not the same for me. Cause that is partwise how art works. But maybe i am not aware of something. For me, AI is simililar to photography. While in photography, you have the settings of the camera to fullfil your artistic vison. Thausend of moments are happening in Front of the camera, and then you decide to take the shot. You decide to capture this certain moment in time, from this certain perspective. With AI its the same for me. You prompt the Image so it fullfils your Vision. You get hundreds if not thausends of different Version. You decide for one Version, you change Details. Is it theft to use a camera instead of commisioning an Artist to draw the current moment? Should we stop taking family Photos to ensure an Artist gets to work on the Artwork?

    • @@SimonGrossMusic The comparison of a person using a camera, learning and teaching themselves the art of photography, composition, lighting, color correction etc can be easily compared to an AI Image/Voice/Video/Music Generator. Artificial Intelligence (AI) has the name in it, all of it is artificial and coded to take in information from the Internet, from people that have put the time and effort to teach themselves these skills. The same is applied to you, you've taught yourself a beautiful skill, an art of music; you've taught yourself to clean audio/tracks, taught your ear to listen to different sounds, octaves and so on so that you're able to remix/alter the song and transform it into something different :) And that's pretty amazing all of the time you've dedicated and put into this hobby. Now compare that to AI. Compare it to someone creating/remixing music with AI. Is it still ok to proceed using it? Are they really making music? As beautiful as the image is, there are a lot of artists on Instagram/Tumblr/Twitter even Reddits for the ATLA community that I'm sure would've offered their services for a reasonable price or a simple credit of use. If you wanted something that you were picturing yourself, artists ALWAYS welcome a quick sketch + reference photos of the visual you're looking for. I get that AI is easy to use and manipulate to what you're envisioning and definitely doesn't have a high price as to what most artists commission for, but there's always a way to find something within your range or finding someone in the community to offer services + credit + a reasonable price. :) These are just things to keep in mind when it comes to all artists that put time, effort and money into a hobby that they turn into a skill and to try to use as many resources as possible before proceeding with AI

Art and music have always been such a wonderful collaboration between people, seeing AI replacing it for a quick buck is so disheartening, not to mention petty. I hope all of you understand why its wrong one day - Or better, I hope all of you understand that there CAN be a better solution if you just made /the effort and the heart/ to create it together.

    @abb4538@abb45382 ай бұрын
    • 1. As an artist, I have always thought a lot about the topic of art and have come to the point that art is everything for me. This in every sense imaginable. Art is a way to process emotions, to experiment creatively, to leave something behind, to have the freedom to do what one wants, but also the silly joy of creating it. For me, art, in this meaningless world, is about giving meaning to something. By this I mean: the world-famous notes of Beethoven's 5th Symphony have probably been played by many people purely by chance, but he was the one who chose to immortalize them. Composing is nothing more than tinkering around until some notes appeal to you more than others, and then attributing meaning to those notes. This is the role of the artist in art, in my opinion. I am not a fan of denying art its value based on the tools that were used. I have been composing music since I was a child, mostly orchestral, and I have been laughed at by adults because I write all my works on the computer and mostly do not record real musicians but play them virtually. I don't see the point in such elitist thinking. For me, AI is just another tool with which it is fun to play around, which can evoke emotions, and which drives art forward. It is still the artist who chooses from hundreds of images the one to which he wants to give meaning. Although the image was mostly created by AI, it was subsequently processed and animated by an artist. I see great potential in the symbiosis of human and AI to drive innovation forward, just as CGI and digital art did in the past. I think it will bring out new artists who will work creatively with it and put just as much creative effort, passion, and dedication into it as those before them. 2. I have worked in commissioned work myself and can say that it can be difficult as an artist to set aside one's artistic aspirations to meet those of the client. For my albums, I used and still use real artists whom I love the style of. I then give them as much creative freedom as possible. However, this is expensive. For mixes like this, where they consist of "only" already released pieces, this is not profitable. I could reduce my budget to €100, but I know under what time pressure an artist would have to do this work. These artists then do not have the strength to put passion and love into any commissioned work, which I understand. 3. Even the artist who made all the fantastic avatar artworks for me nowadays uses AI. She uses it as a tool to express what she wants to express. Artists will never stop making art. The money you earn from it should not play a primary role. The means you use should not matter. In an artist, there is a vision that they want to implement, a desire to experiment. That will always be the case. We will reach a point where with AI and a keystroke, complete pieces can be composed. And that's okay. I will still continue to make my music because I do it because it's fun for me and I want to express myself with it. The French painter Paul Delaroche said after the invention of printing, "From today on, painting will be dead!", as now 1:1 copies can be reproduced more and more. However, to this day, it is seen that this is irrelevant, and the same will happen with AI in my opinion. A print will never replace an original, and one created purely by AI will not be able to replace an artist. I hope my perspective is understood. I do not take the topic lightly and have come to this standpoint through much deliberation. However, I am open to other opinions. Feel free to leave your detailed opinion here🤍

    • @@SimonGrossMusicI see both sides tbh. I do understand that as a self-employed artist, it takes a grueling amount of time to create your work and it is a very unstable investment from a financial standpoint. As an aspiring writer, I already have a bit of experience with the taxing nature of the creative process, but I will never use AI as a crutch. I’ve used it for grammatical purposes, like trying to convey more information from fewer words (my natural writing style is very verbose and would likely get boring in a novel format). But the stories I tell are by my own design. The characters are my own (unless it’s in an already established universe, but that’s technically fanfiction), the narratives are from my own imagination, and all I use AI for is to assist with the more technical aspects.
