  • The media hate Tua because he's everything they wish they could be. A man of deep faith, handsome, good-natured, awesome work ethic, courageous, respected teammate, etc. etc. Is he perfect? No. None of us are. The haters know who they are. Tua forces these people to take an honest look in the mirror which makes them feel uncomfortable.

    • This is just plain wrong... Remember Tim Tebow? Even though it was beyond clear that man had no business being an NFL quarterback after his 2nd season, he still got picked up by the Jets and then the Patriots for no other reason than he sells jerseys. People loved Tim Tebow because he was a Christian that put his faith on full display. I will never understand why Christians in the US so desperately want to pretend that they are persecuted... It's ridiculous. Two thirds of the US population identifies as Christian. Every single US president in the last 150 years has identified as Christian. The idea that American Football fans love to "tear down a man of faith" is not grounded in reality, it's absurd and delusional.

He has dealt with more adversity than any player since entering the league that I have ever seen & continues to get better every year. Mike McDaniel was the best thing to ever happen to Tua, but he needs to open the offense a little more. Rather than calling plays that are designed to go to 1 or 2 players, call plays that allow Tua to progress through his reads & find the open receiver. (It has been my only knock on the Kyle Shanahan-style offense)

His body was catching up to everyone else. By year 2 he was just starting to build into his NFL body instead of rehabbing. Also the fact that Herbert walked into a situation with a great running back and 2 probowl calibur receivers. Herbert's line wasnt great if you look at stats but otherwise he was in a much better situation. I hope all the qbs from the 2020 draft end up killing it, but I will be happiest when Tua can silence some (itll never be all) the critics and get the respect he deserves for the work he puts in.

I just don't understand it. With his story overcoming the injuries and playing on par or better than his fellow qbs he should be one of those fairytale story type if dudes, but no haters are gonna hate . First it was he will never be able to get the ball to tyreek and waddle, now its well the only reason he's doing good is because of hill and waddle. The story and excuses will continue to change to fit whatever narrative the haters want it to fit. Ill admit I was a Tua doubter to begin with. I let the media and haters influence me. Tua has made mistakes no doubt fumbling the snap against kc was a killer but let's talk about the mistakes made by other player on the team. Hill has dropped 2 sure touchdowns in the last three games along with a couple other third down pases that would have kept drives alive. Not to mention the strip touchdown that he gave up.The constant holding calls , false starts and generally not being able to protect over 2.5 seconds by the o line is also a killer. Tua is a qb he can't runblock pass protect throw the ball and catch it. He is one of the most accurate qbs in this league and his stats back it up. The only legitimate knock on tua is being injury prone. Other than that he is a good if not great passer. • This is a kid playing college football and gotten drafted to play in the NFL. He is trying to fulfill a dream. He may not be as spectacular as Mahome or Allen; but he is an accurate passer and by no mean a mediocre QB. He is humble and not arrogant. What has he done to offend all these people?

    • Yeah, let's not hype Allen anymore. The guy is not that good. He's been on an elite team, but he keeps on losing games for the Bills. The hype does not add up for him.

  • Watching other games this season and ask yourself if the QBs in the games you watch has the anticipation, accuracy and vision that Tua has. Be honest. There are some but not many. On negative points, in these games you watch of other QBs, were they mistake free? Perfect games? Mistakes happen and are part of the game. They all do it. That’s how they learn and become great. Tua’s turnovers have never been catastrophic and determined the outcome of the game like others. In fact, he has always bounced back with scoring drives. Just be smart and objective and you’ll see what the experts see.

  • The QB's that they love made the same mistakes as Tua. The difference is that they focused on their positives and blamed the other player for their negatives. Their wayward completions, for example, were/are said to be thrown only where the receiver could get it.
