That interference no-call led to the Yankees scoring 7 runs to make the game go from 4-4 to 11-4 when all 7 runs were scored after the 3rd out would have been made had the call been correctly and the runner out at first.
As a Brewer fan, thank you for seeing that Judge was wrong in that situation! Would love a breakdown and your thoughts on last nights game (9th inning) vs Tampa Bay
He always wants to side with Yankees but when it is this bad, he knows if he doesn’t admit the Yankees were in the wrong, people will clown on him.
Judge wasn't wrong. The umps were. I don't see a problem trying to block the vision or disrupt the play. If you get hit doing it, that's the price you pay and you leave it up to the umps to make the call. Some times it works in your favor. Some times it doesn't. Its a pretty basic baseball tactic. 🤷♂️
Was at that game and the boos were sooo loud. Insane.
AND IF HE COULD DO ONE ABOUT THE FREDDY EJECTION ALSO NOW PLEASE!!!!!!
@@christianmallien3123 omg yes!! This shit is getting absurd!
Let’s wear a sliding mitt to protect our hand sliding feet first 😂
Its protecting it from the ball when they put their hand up 😁
I'll be honest, I know absolutely nothing about baseball, except what Jomboy tells me, and I assumed those gloves were for players to protect an already injured hand. Didn't realize anyone could just decide to wear one.
@@MrVovansim same
It’s for diving back into the bag
@@MrVovansimit’s for protecting your hand when you are diving back into a bag on a pick off or are sliding head first. Now everyone uses it because it’s the in thing to do. Like how everyone has 19 pads and bands on their arms when they don’t really need it.
When are we going to address the fact that the oven mitt serves no purpose than to make your hand like 3" longer? Dr.Farnsworth deserves royalties being the inventor of the finglonger
I think about the "What if life were more like a video game" episode a lot haha
What are you talking about? It protects your hand lmao
“Good news! It’s a suppository.”
"Pretty long, eh?"
Its intent is clearly to protect the hand while sliding, but it doesn't need to be that big.
That's not a glove. It's a mitten.
a 4XL mitten
Yeah, that glove thing is a joke. I barely watch MLB anymore due to all the crap allowed.
@@jaybird4834cry?
exactly
@@RealBrizzyou cool bro
Damn I'm disappointed. I thought the "uniform fiasco" they were rolling back was going to be the horrible ads on the uniforms. It is a slippery slope, and in a decade MLB uniforms will look like soccer jerseys with 7 company names covering 90% of the surface.
Dude the bright fucking yellow patch on the braves uniforms pisses me off so much. Ads would be one thing... but make them at least match the uniform
The swoop was the harbinger
@@LeglessWonderyeah,as a cards fan im glad ours at least matches the uni
Do yourself a favor and don't watch the SHL....
@@LeglessWonder You mean the Atlanta Quikretes? Uh, sorry, I mean the Quikrete Braves? I mean...oh who cares, I'll just go watch MLW instead, at least they don't have ads on their jerseys. If I wanted to see uniforms covered in ads I'd watch racing or Mexican baseball.
3:43 that Lavender Town music hits different
It's ridiculous man. Yes I'm biased as a Brewers fan, but I generally defend the right of players to try to break up double plays. But let's ban these dumb oven mitts. You can either throw your hands up, with no oven mitt, or you can wear the mitt and keep your hands down.
Only fielders should be wearing mitts. This is baseball.
"They were innovating something that didn't need to be innovated." A motto for our time, and not just in sports.
Well, i was taught to slide into 2nd with my arms up. Im also not a giant wearing the infinity gauntlet.
which is okay, unless you're already put out, then you cannot interfere like that.
The sliding mitt is a terrible idea. Yes, it should absolutely be banned, especially now that the baserunners are 2" closer to the base anyway. What more do they need? Are there any regulations on the length of it? Soon we'll be seeing them as long as jai lai mitts ("baskets, cestas.").
DO THE ONE ABOUT THE FREDDY EJECTION!!!!! 3 GAMES IN A ROW UMPS SCREWING THE BREWERS!!!!!
THANK YOU, AS A BREWERS FAN AND WISCONSIN NATIVE I AM REALLY PISSED RN
MLB clearly forgot about George Costanza's botched attempt at upgrading the Yankees uniforms. Sigh.
Came here looking for this
Zack FEELIN the pokemon music more than usual today lol love it
You should do breakdowns of the Brewers vs Rays 6th and 9th innings from today
Who tf ships a cat in a box 🤣🤣🤣
something doesn't add up here. No way that cat would have been perfectly quiet and not moved, having someone notice it. I just find this really hard to believe
Agreed
It was a big amazon return box that was filled with shoeboxes, maybe they thought the moving was from the loose shoeboxes. No explanation other than being stupid for not hearing the cat though.
Garfield
Yeah, EXTREME sus here.
Joez gassing himself up in the IG comments is fucking hilarious.
"Next on the stage, GALENAAAAA" 😂
Galena, IL. Filming location for the Moonlight Graham Scenes in Field Of Dreams.
Zack Esposito absolutely killing it as always. Keep up the good work.
1:25 I’m all for the glove after seeing ozuna from the Braves dislocated fingers on a slide
Fun fact: Galena, Illinois was where Ulysses S Grant was living immediately before the Civil War. In three years he went from an anonymous clerk to the highest ranking officer in the Union Army, and then five years after that was President.
Also, its one of the most picturesque parts of the state, and its barely in Illinois.
I miss living in Illinois just because of visiting Galena, nice town with lots of cool old school places. Great golf courses as well!
Brewers ALWAYS get screwed by the Umps; Every time. P.S. There's absolutely ZERO chance a person wouldn't notice their cat in the box; Those people should get shipped across company in an Amazon Return box.
Brew-hoo-hoo cry me a river
@@primeministersinister625 You sound like a Cubs fan. Or a Cardinals fan ... Both those fan bases are total clowns.
@@LindyWithAWhy Brew-hoo-hoo cry me a river. Upset Pete Davidson’s brother has sucked for years huh?
@@LindyWithAWhy How's Wrigley North been treating the Brewers lately?
The best Illinois joke i heard was when my teacher called me illinoying Idky I share that jus from the mention if Illinois i dont even live there anymore lol
Jake looks like Jimmy valvano when he won...
When you guys got around to the sexy cat topic I verbalized “wow these guys are pretty good at this”
3:40 lavender town, nice
Do a video on how Dansby Swanson accidentally threw a changeup while fielding a ground ball from J.D. Martinez today and how it cost the Cubs the game
Didn't expect the Galena Illinois mention but happy it happened
Zack with the Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins edit at 3:42 goe's crazy.
Galena, IL is a beautiful, old-timey town. Good for antiquing, I've been told.
Yeah, it has a very active and long downtown. The town is built under a church on a hill, and the surrounding area has beautiful rolling hills (unusual for Illinois). Kind of a fun place to escape to for the day.
I thought the story about the cat was that it hid in the box and they didn’t notice and it’s a miracle it survived
It feels like the Weekly Dumb is slowly turning into the Weekly Kinda Smart You guys are essentially becoming my personal 5-Minute PTI which is wonderful
Judge's explanation for cheating is "Hey, I always cheat".
Joez should make the knee pads his signature gear and wear them for EVERY warehouse tournament. Like Stone Cold Steve Austin and the knee braces.
don’t let the yankees fans lie to you it was scotty pods who first “invented” the glove in the majors
2:15 that one second K’appn cameo made my day, thanks editors
Them cheesing so hard at the end was the cherry on top for this video❤😂
Charlie day’s uncles giant hands should be required on all base runners
Uncle Jack the lawyer!
i have SO MANY questions about the cat story
Something doesn't add up. I'm not buying it. You're telling me that cat say perfectly quiet and still for 6 days and no one noticed it? The cat didn't freak out at some point after they closed it in and before they dropped it off to ship? This doesn't make sense.
I love Galena, Illinois! 1908 Cubs barnstormed there. And US Grant lived there his post-presidential years!
He had inbody the spirit of A-Rod
I don't know how I feel about the fact that I was able to identify Kapp'n from like 1 second of audio at about the 2:10 mark. Great work Zack.
I used to ride back and forth just to listen to Kapp'n sing
I wonder how large the intersection between Animal Crossing fans and Jomboy viewers is?
Using the Gen 3 pokemart music is always a nice touch
''Should have always been illegal'' is correct, Jake
I agree that there should be a limit on the size of the mitten. We can't call it interference though, might as well make it kickball rules then.
Nike designs have been absolute shit the last few years. As a runner, the choices are very limited.
I can't remember where that Jomboy Shops sound effect comes from except that it comes from video games, and possibly Super Mario 3
"Sexy Utah Cat".... dead😂
Editing is on point, as always!
the animal crossing music when jimmy said Captain made me do a triple take
Editing on point
Also a town in Kansas .. I live right down the road from it lol
The fact he defended himself by saying "I always slide like that" is nothing but proof he knows what hes doing is wrong. Doesnt matter if he always slides like that, its still interference lol
Joez catching strays, "he's a huge body!"
5:11 comic sans!!! Take us seriously!
Being from Arizona and hearing them talking about 80-90 degree weather as if we haven't had it for the last two months xD
Why is Fanatics not considered a monopoly?
For Judge...it's a high risk, High reward...the reward is distracting the fielder's eyesight and maybe throwing motion...the risk is that if it hits him, it's interference...distract/Okay, Contract/Not-Okay.
There's no downside, the runner is out if the ball hits them, so... If they're already out what's the downside?
I believe they mean if the ball hits the runner going to second, the batter going to first is out on the interference call.
Just watching the Dodgers - Dimondbacks highlights, will you be doing a breakdown on the bees??
The warehouse games look fun but i don't fucking care because i can't come play them. Other than that you guys are great.
Fr 😂
I have been watching jomboy for at least 6 years and what is with the lack of uploads of mlb game play breakdowns so far this season?
He's a busy guy
During MLB season vids need to be focused on MLB
God forbid he has a family and a life - he doesn’t owe us a thing. Get a grip on your life.
Why do that when he can play slapball in the warehouse?
Baby
Also, on the sweaty shirts, we have this problem in football in the UK. Take a look at Aston Villa or Wolves (both Castore brand), they are minging.
Awww man I don’t get to look at the players naked body’s anymore
I am gonna slip in "Thats a hostile environment for everyone involved. " in the next opportunity
As someone who grew up in Atlanta my thoughts on the Falcons are exactly the same as Jake's.
Lavender town, yes. But how bout the pokémart theme for jm shop😆
Looked for this comment
A little disappointed we didn't get coverage of Mets fan Seymour Weiner and a name rating.
I watched back that Slapball play and didn't notice this before. Did the clock stop early? It feels like the clock stopped the second the ball left his hand. Does the ball have to cross the line before the buzzer, or is it like basketball where it just has to leave the hand before it hits zero?
"Make one arm legal" was when I came to the sudden realization I would uproot my life to throw everything I have into a campaign to make Jake the MLB commissioner.
Gonna cover the 14 strikeout game that tied a league record in Mexico?! How is that not sports that the world needs to know about!?
I would honestly love if shot blocking was a thing on breaking up double plays.
Jake’s pronunciation of Valparaiso was more atrocious than the blocked double play
It feels like the oven glove has gotten bigger over time
Baseball Doesn't Exist did a great report on Nike and their monopoly on Sports Uniforms...
Where can I find Bobby's critique of the Falcon's draft clip?
Talk about April 30th brawl between Brewers and Rays
Im digging the sports coat Jake 😝
That "SPOLIER" alert at the 2:00 mark...🤔
2:00 “Spolier Alert”?! A rare error by Zach
I don't watch sports, I just like this lol
The league should definitely consider putting some rules in around the size of the sliding mitts. If for no other reasons than they look incredibly silly.
There's a group of people who know exactly what was playing while talking about Zack being in all black, and therefore know why exactly it's so hilarious.
the blinding down low tho
Here I go again. We need that intro back.
Man Jomboy came THIS CLOSE to talking about football
Pirates vs Diamondbacks in August 2014. Nick Ahmed does this same thing in the 10th inning to win the game for the Dbacks
Great, now do a video on the Peralta ejection 😊
Seems like Judge almost pulled an A-Rod circa 2004 Boston Red Sox Championship series. When A-Rod was running to first and swiped his arm to get the ball out of Bronson Arroyo's glove and it scored a run. Oh no, wait, you can't do that, Derek Jeter, no matter how many times you mime the safe call.
Not just Judge but all the people are using these sliding gloves which are nuts, it adds 4 inches to the end of the fingers
That intro is solid
The Mets "City" uniforms look like they were made in someone's garage from the shop towels the mechanics were using. Hey MLB, how about making them in the USA?
1:59 you called brother
I'm not a Yankees fan, but the rule on interference seems kinda poorly thought out. So I guess the next question is if player just doesn't slide at all and gets beaned in the chest on the way to second, is it still interference? Why not just hit the baserunner with the a throw if you don't think you'll have time to get the guy at first? Also a lot of people slide like that, Judge is just 8 feet tall so it actually effected the play for once lol
Its time for a movie
don’t follow sports much anymore… but, back in the day😅 early 2000s in high school ball, we used to just run with our batting gloves in our fists. So that we had to make a fist while we run. Protects the fingers when sliding, just as good as an oven mitt. Also, I am neither a Brewers nor a Yankees fan.
The thing about changing until next year is all so they don’t have to deal with the people wanting refunds for this year’s edition that changes halfway through.
6:18 Jake's got the strip club DJ voice down. 😂
The Judge post game interview gave me Zoolander vibes….. Judge was like, “Its not my fault Im just really really big and really really good looking”
