Absolutely great game!! Everyone once in awhile a game comes around where I get so distracted by it that I don’t even get painting done… this was one of those games…

Pretty awesome seeing the effort put in to each army! Armor that fits the legions just makes it so much better.

That is just objectively wrong. The system is incredibly flawed far more than 40k. Some of the legions even have paradoxes in their rules like white scars.

lol not by a long shot. Its an old outdated game system which is a reprint of one of the worst versions of 40k ever released. It is NOT balanced, it is limited in model choice, and plays like ass
Its not supirior in the flaws factor of things compareed to 40k, although in my opinion it helps tell the naritive more and can really tell a brutal story

Shroud must be declared before dice are rolled (changed in the current FAQ), all vehicles only receive a 6+ cover save. Ruins save is only a 5+ while within its bounds, if you are shooting through it the units behind (not in) only receive a 6+ cover as well.
Nice looking armies for sure. The Rampagers can pile in when charged by the Contemptor, so there should have been many attacks. . . also, the Pheonix Terminators get to choose their combat stance when they are in CC, allowing them to manipulate their WS/enemy WS etc.. Nice looking bat-rep though!
Love the channel, pleased you are doing Heresy. Only one point to make, you have to declare shroud before any shots are fired

Vehicle combat in HH is so nuanced. I wish 40K would bring bring back weapon arcs, armor facing, and hard point damage.
Too funny… I was watching this batrep on the train on my way to Element Games today, and who should be there other than James from March of War himself. Had a quick chat, lovely man. I made the trip all the way up here from Sydney Australia, nice to bump into him!

Love the Heresy content I’ve been waiting to see them! Only thing is I think Murderous strike/instant death wounds get rolled before other saves. Not that it made any difference just for future reference. Love your content 😁
The Instant Death rule does not require saves to be rolled first, but wounds that gain the Instant Death Rule through specifically Murderous Strike do need to be rolled first. FWIW, rends also need to be saved first.

Winters, great battle rep but a good thing to remember is that when a Veh explodes it gets removed like a normal model. Sorry if you address that later in the video

@@wintersSEO still early days 😜 there’s a bit more to HH than 40k, Lookimg forward to more! Just another thing I noticed , your sun killers are already BS5 so go up to 6 with the armistos 😉 they also ignore cover and damage mitigation by default 😁

The EC unit from blown up Rhino could t charge because Rhino doesnt have Assault Ramp. You cant make a charge in your turn unless you have Assault Ramp. They would have to wait a turn.

That WE army is spicy! But for the EC, why attach an Armistos to Sun Killers? Just take regular HSS and save like 100 points.

so you do get inv. save against rending? Right? Rending says auto wounds so how does it work anyone know?
Yes. Rending auto wounds but you get invun
@@wintersSEO ok so then what is the difference between rending and breaching? Functionally speaking. I know one auto wounds and one makes it AP2 but functionally isnt it basically the same thing?
Rending is a better version of Breaching. Rending auto wounds at ap2 and adds D3 to vehicle armour penetration rolls. Breaching counts as ap2 but does not auto wound or add d3 to vehicle pen. For example, if you need a 6+ to wound a dreadnought, rending 4+ will auto wound the Dread on a 4+. Breaching 4+ will not auto wound the Dread, you'll still need a 6.

His weapon has duelists edge (2). He is a mediocre duelist against fellow praetors though.
