Sir, the media is offline.
Try nj80
LMAO MEDIA OFFLINE
you should try the Ajazz 820 pro with gift switches, black and grey
From a marketing person to a fellow marketing person, I respect you calling this out for what it is at the end of the day. Mad respect.
a keyboard?
@@bobbobson6290 ba dumm tss
@@bobbobson6290 lol, exactly. Really, though, what I meant is that it's a usual $90 keyboard with marketing and style that's so damn good on tiktok it allows it to sell for much higher than its value. 100 Thieves, at the end of the day, is a brand. It's marketing, through and through, and they're leveraging that to upcharge heavily on a a very standard keyboard. It's just very good marketing.
As a marketing major, if the ROI is there why would they stop marketing on tiktok?
@@I-Am-No-One It's not about stopping marketing. Of course, if people buy and enjoy the keyboard, the company will (and should, from a business sense) continuing producing it. However, Hipyo is adamant about transparency and honesty in marketing messages. Marketers, well, typically not so much. The big marketing knocks on this keyboard: (a) it overpromises and underdelivers, and (b) it is priced in mid-to-high range for an entry-level keyboard, which is not a good value considering the far superior products available at a fraction of the cost (a Keychron C3 Pro, for example, retails for less than 1/3 of its MSRP)
no one: tik tokers: only 300 dollars?! what a deal!!11!1!!!
Also tiktokers: $50?! That's an overpriced scam!
It might be a bit outside your standard content, but a video about actuation force and simple real world comparisons to things we can easily experience (pressing the button on a TV remote is about 40g, that's comparable to a light switch) might be a very informative video, and help people to understand what they're looking for.
And a reference sound....
At 1st I was going to say something rude....Trolling But I like this idea....Actually one of the best ideas I've heard in a minute. This would help countless people, myself included
I mostly agree with the comment, but TV remotes have wildly varying amounts of pressure/actuation force on their buttons, so even that isnt really a useful comparison generally, unless someone's personal childhood TV remotes happen to line up lol
@@theSato So then we need to agree on a popular Keyboard like a Logitech or Microsoft and this could also be the base sound sample as well.
I too would actually love to see this
It was only like a year or two ago when I got my Tiger Lite, plastic case, no switches or keycaps, for around $130 or so, and that was considered a pretty sweet entry keyboard. Now $130 for a decent fully built custom is considered bad value. It's really amazing how far this hobby has come and how quickly the industry is growing. Weirdest thing about that furst board to me is definitely the alu plate. Very weird to put in a plastic case.
Alu plate for plastic keyboard is really common no? Any RK entry board or cheap gaming keyboard has an metal plate usually?!
To be fair, Keychron uses aluminum plates in plastic cases. Not really trying to defend Higround, because I don't like their boards, but just pointing out that it is "standard practice" elsewhere
Somebody's gotta try to sell all the extra GK61s that got made a few years ago ;)
entry keyboard...? it still types just as good as any other keyboard i dont get it
@@DasKeebs Keychron uses steel and polycarbonate as stock plates.

i like the new style of video! longer form content with more of your opinion is appreciated. i also like how despite providing your opinion you stress that it's still preference, which can sometimes get lost. i'd love to see you continue this style of review!
Glad you like them!

Higround also has a "performance edition" of their keyboards that has magnetic switches and rapid trigger. Take a wild guess as to how good those are 😂
they perform worse than their mechnical counterparts
i was just about to comment that i can't imagine buying one of these when i can get a wooting cheaper.
i have a performance one and they are acc decent i dont understand the hate tbh @@breadles_
I just love how obsessed Nola the kitten is with Hipyo it’s adorable.

Big ups to your new editor. Great flow, great shots, etc...
Absolutely love the new "Media offline" effect
yes!!! huge shoutout to the editor. Great job!
the media offline edit was the best for sure
You can tell that it wasn't intentional
yeah obviously but it has happened in tons of his videos so he just doesnt proof watch his videos which isnt smart@@Astax1
Its a good day when hipyo uploads 😁 Happy late Christmas and a happy new year Hipyo!
"There's no underglow? With a *clear* case? That you can *CLEARLY* see?!" Looking at you, Wind Studios.
Considering what you can get for 150 and less these days, I think it’s very fair to call these what they are.
The different "Whooohooo yeah heh heh hehs" had me dying in this video...LMAO!
Love your videos! Any keyboard recommendations for Macs?
thanks hipyo for introducing me to the keyboard community, i have got a custom keyboard on christmas and i dont regret it a little bit and its all because of you
Really enjoy the new style - love the cut ins to your live opinion
Love the new style, Hipyo.
quality vid Hipyo ❤
For 130 you can get tri-mode Neo65 barebones... Throw budget keycaps and switches at it and get a much better result for the premium end. On the cheap end, a GMK67 would be the $30 basis for a build.
@HipyoTech Do you think you'd do a video on spring mounted boards such as the AKKO SPR75? its actually looking GOOD different from akkos "Premium" range (their former premium products have always felt a bit naff...) always wondered if you can use foam / pillow foam on them considering their unique mounting method and thought none other than you could work that out :)
yo bro, i have a question: Have you ever tried the LEOBOG Graywood V3 and V4, and if so, what do you think of them? Im planning on building my own custom keyboard and i think they are the one for me.
I sure as hell hope 100 Thieves don't make their PC eSports teams use this keyboard at tournaments.
howdy hey, hipyo! im getting my first custom keyboard and dont know which one to get! i really want the "Akko PC75B Plus" or the "Keychron Q2". what other keyboards do you recomend?
I’m getting into keyboards and I just got my first mechs one and am now addicted to this Chanel. That is a good thing, I hope.
Hipyo, can you try out the Leobog Hi75? It's a budget 75% aluminum board that sounds nice. I'd like to know your opinions on it.
Would highly recommend the Nuphy line of keyboards to review, in my opinion the best budget option for prebuilts right now. I have the halo 65 and compared to the Higround boards, I couldn't be any happier with it
I'm using the Air96v1 and it's great! I got the clickys because I like to clickity clack, plus I live alone so who gives a shit about the noise if I like it.
I'd take a Halo over a Highground any day for basically every reason. I think a discerning shopper can still min-max even more - but NuPhy sells self-branded BSUN switches that are legit fantastic. They also have POK stems like the White Flames HG uses.
Finally someone actually do an honest review about these tiktok keebs
Great video! Also there is some clips missing and blank screens saying “media offline”.
Never heard of them but I have to say I do dig the topo graphic and their aesthetics on some of the other keycaps and the frosted look is cool. Definitely don't like the branding slapped all over it. Give me the design without the logos haha. The price is crazy though for sure. Definitely a pass
Hi Hipyo, i have a question. Will you please review the Flux keyboard when you can get your hands on one? I've just seen the promotion video and it seems too good to be true, impossible even. I would greatly appreciate it if you can do that. Thanks!
Hey hipyo, early happy new year already🎉 Are there any good keyboards for 20 euros with thocky sounding switches (was planning on getting V3 Lavender Purple Pro Switches on them, idk if any of this even is possible as i just recently started to get interested in keyboards
Probably not for that cheap
@@HipyoTech Alright no problem mate thanks for answering it
Day 1 of asking Hipyo to review a keyboard from alt customs
The cheaper version reminds me of the Euro 50,00 kits I bought in 2020 when I got into this hobby. Given the many budged-friendly options available now (and wireless, at least), I think they're both overpriced
I love your videos and I bought so much keyboards because of you
FINALLY YOU MADE A VIDEO ON THIS
White Flames have been around for a while - good switch and one of the first to include POK stems - but this is the first I've heard of HG being involved 🤷♂️
One thing i thank you is for your review of cidoo 75 bought it love it and its cheaper but sounds amazing ❤
ALFRED NOOOO, NOT THE TIK TOK KEYBOARD😭😭
Can you do a review on the Kinesis TKO 60% keyboard? Just got it for Christmas and have to say is a great gaming keyboard with good switches.
Have you tried the newmen GM610, i brought one recently for work and is my first mechanical keyboard. I git it with brown switches and changed the key caps, It seems pretty good for £35.
9:09 , nice editing hipyo
Okay not just me.
12:22 oh boy
The keycaps are a dyslexic nightmare. Clear and easy to read letters are always what I go for in looking for keycaps. I occasionally look down to see what I'm typing. I'm never the best at it. If I saw more squiggles than the red squiggles under words with easy to mix up letters, I would probably pass out from exhaustion.
can you try drunkdeer and polar rapid trigger keyboards?
what microphone are you using for your vids
hipyo saying wooo yeah was amazing lmao
You should try the Epomaker x Aula F75
I’m bout to get a Rk 61 is that good and if so what color switches should I get
Can you do a video on the “Royal Kludge R75” keyboard?
I'm not deep into the keyboard niche but I've tried a few different ones and personally have landed on using an RK84 75%. MSRP around $90 but eternally on sale for about $70 and currently $55 on Amazon at the time of writing. You get hotswappable, Bluetooth, 2.4G wireless, USB C, per-key RGB with customizable onboard presets, and probably more stuff I'm forgetting. Your choice of OEM switches, white or black body. To me it feels great, I'm using the OEM brown switches. I got it for around $60-70 on sale so I spent about $15-20 on a set of XDA profile key caps and to this day it's my favorite keyboard ever. All together less than one of these TikTok keyboards for what's probably a far better experience.
Imagine not going down to your local thrift store and picking up a keyboard for less than 20 bucks couldn't be me.
Good stuff you make!!!!
Love your villager minecraft empresion ❤❤ hipyo oooh yeahahah
Thoughts on the sk61 with optical yellow?
I have found few other content creators testing clicks, clacks and thocks copying the idea with "Eeeehuuuuuuh" 😃 so you are a pioneer 😁
Bro can you make a video of the K500 YINDIAO keyiboard,i think i wanna get it and i gotta see if its good or not.
For anyone that wants a recommendation for a keyboard whether your broke or just know nothing about keyboards, I recommend the Royal Kludge 61 as it is hot swappable and sounds incredible. You can customize along the way the more you learn about keyboards.
Can you talk about the redragon draconic keyboard? Its quite budget. Love ur videos btw
Hello, how are you doing? I've been doing a lot of research, I have a couple of keyboards and I think I have some requirements for what I should have, I spend many hours in front of the PC every day working (I'm a developer) I have a couple that I've been using: HyperX Alloy (blue, 100 % - it is the one I liked the least), MxKeys 100%, MxKeys Mechanical (brown) 100%, RedDragon Fizz (red, 60%), Logitech K380 and a couple more membranes that I tested over time I think based on what I have and have tried I would like something that: -keyboard 100% (or75% at least) -iso-es distribution -if possible silent-red switches -wireless At the same time, I would be interested if it could be obtained from Argentina! Do you have any recommendations?
Hi hipyo I love your videos ❤
I just started with custom keyboards as well. I get the gmmk pro with yellow pro gateron switches in a few days. Do you guys think that those are a good combi? Also I heard that the v2 stabs or how they are called are kinda needed. Is there a way to make the ones in the gmmk pro more useful or is there no way around of buying new ones? :>
Yellow Pros are good if lubed. The GMMK Pro is also good. But it will need modding - tape mod it. The stabilisers are meh but if they bother you, lube them. If they are still bothering you, put some blu tack to the bottom of the key to see if it makes it sound better.
@@moahmadi22 my gmmk pro just arived and I am shocked by how amazing it feels quality wise. Compared to my old hyperx one, there are worlds between those two. The stabs are horrible though like expected haha. I got the gmmk pro for about 110€, and I think it was a really good idea
Just got my womier s-k71 and it 's such an insane improvement compared to my ducky, switching the keycaps to xda profile really lowered the tone of the board though.
Same but i had a epomaker th80 b4
i got mine for myself for christmas too and the difference is crazy going from a standard gaming keyboard and it looks hella nice
@@grayphobe ikrrr
Just got a budget custom keyboard for Christmas, lubed all the switches with Vaseline, and it sounds amazing! Please try Vaseline Hipyo!!! (After a few years it can damage the switches tho)
Friendly warning, Vaseline could somewhat deteriorate some kinds of plastics (I don't remember which ones though.) it usually 'melts' the part or warps it.
Please never use Vaseline ever again! It ruins the plastic of the switches and won't stay smooth for as long as actual lubricants
@@WhiskeyTapethat's something I was aware of when lubing the switches, but a lot of people mentioned that the effect is not very significant and takes a few years to take effect. A lot of people who have done it say they've been going with it for a couple of years already, without issues, and since I was already considering replacing the switches I thought it was worth a try. Definitely something for someone on a budget with a cheaper keyboard, with the intent of eventually upgrading. Obviously if you can afford/have patience to wait for the right lube that's the way to go.
@@ZapProd Okay then, thanks for the explanation.
Vaseline sounds like a terrible idea....
I like the "in front of the camera" moments included with the voice over, but I guess the video editing software didn't like that missing media.
Hipyo, you should check out the VGN ATK68 next, it's basically a rapid trigger keyboard that *performs better* and *sounds better* than the Wooting 60HE. I got one and it's actually really good.
Can you maybe try a the BOYI GMK67 its a good keyboard Kit but i dont know how to proberly mod it ?
Just spent the past few hours giving my Keychron K6 the works (Tape mod, slight bit of foam, and a good cleaning). Typing this out at 6 am, I can definitely say that I can barely hear a difference. Gonna go cry myself to sleep.
What mic do you use for your voice over?
Could you do a setup/room tour video?
i think most people who don't know about keyboards first look at the design more then the actual keyboard (like switches, 60%, 75%... or just the beautiful keycaps) and the price, people sometimes get confused and think that 300$ is good, don't get me wrong its a good keyboard but i can find a better keyboards in 50$ and becuase of that many people get tricked buying bad and expensive keyboards like highground, and becuase of tiktok always blame tiktok ._.
North facing LEDs are the one and only.
I haven't bought much of their base camp keyboards. But I did get their crystal clear line with the silent glaciers switches. (I think it's their own line cause I don't think I've seen other companies with this name.) The only other Higround keyboard I got was their Mewtwo Summit line. It looks nice, it feels nice, and I'm not a keyboard snob but more so an aesthetic snob so it works *for me*. But I swap back and forth between the Mewtwo and crystal clear ones as well as the Melgeek I one I got. Maybe I'm not looking in the right places but I thought for under 250 to have that custom-feel without doing the custom work is not a bad price at all. I could probably spend that same price on a fully custom keyboard but I suck when it comes to keyboard building on my own. I don't have that patience. And for me, if I can just pay out the labor then I will. And that's what I see when it comes to a prebuilt "custom" keyboard. And other companies I do look at that aren't as in the spotlight, they are going for 300+ and it's groupbuy and I have to still build it. For me, it's about convenience and getting near the same. I think if I were to get that completely custom feel as if I built a premium and had someone do it, I'm looking around 400 or more... That being said- the Higround softwares being different and unique to both their base and summit lines are annoying and an extra thing to have on my PC. ---- Though I never thought about Higround through their slogan. I like that they had a raised feel where many keyboards like the well-rated Nuphys on Amazon and such. But they just look too low for me, even with the flaps on the back.
For $135 you can get a Neo65 in whatever colorway you want customized to your liking. And it’s a GREAT board.
Neo65 is the best purchase decision I’ve made this year
@@benedictusharyanto4109same dude. Same
@@benedictusharyanto4109 it punches WAY above its price tag. It really should be the ONLY board recommendation under $150. Why are we watching a higround video?????
can you do a review on the Leobog hi75 pls?
hipyoooooooo, would you do a video on drunkdeer a75 and g65?
I gotta say... Never tried it, nor any other highround keyboard, nor for that matter any fairly expensive 60% or above. Right now as a DD i am using an about 70$ 40%, and i have to say it sounds quite good (imo obviously). About the Highround keeb, i think for the sale pricepoint of as he said 87$, its def fair. The keycaps (especially on the black and white one) are gorgeous (even better without logos am i right?), the sound is nice and overall its a cool keyboab. For the regular price.... well, i think the price-quality goes down a little.
Higround needs to hire Hipyo at this point
Can u please try the phantom tecware 87 plus???
Can you do a vid on the Sugar65?
Do you guys use a wrist rest with theses custom keyboards?
wooting 60he is my personal choice and i feel like this and the drunkdeer a75 are on par basically on the best gaming keyboard if your not trying to build one.
My gf got me the higround pokemon base 65 for christmas and i don't really care for the white flame switches that came on it. What are some good alternatives to hot swap into the keyboard?
Anything from wuque studio
What’s a good alternative , out of the box options ?

I’ve bought both the $135 lava rock and $235 akuma red gi thought the 135 was much more enjoyable initially but once I added extra foam into the $235 board and changed the switches to their ttc titan hearts ones I actually like it quite a lot but don’t think i would recommend someone buy one unless they are big fans of an anime or game series
