finally an american interviewer that asks them about their music and not just “what american artist do you want to collab with? what’s your favorite american food?”
Also, "who's your celebrity crush." I hope he knows that we really appreciate it
Or like do u like to dance when you perform.. or how do you celebrate thanksgiving.. 🙄
alex THANK YOU!!
and celebrity crush
Yes yes yes.. and namjoon also said this is the first time someone asking about it and he feel touched.. same namjoon same
7:28 *"I think your the first one to ask about it"* YOU HEAR THAT *cough cough* reporters please ask real questions not just "whos your celebrity crush"
ahhh ikr xD
Yeah.. they all NEED to learn from Zach
I like this Zach guy.
I really respect Zach for making this the best interview ever
When yoongi starts to get comfortable answering questions, you know it's a good interview.
Truuuueeeee
Hell yeah
I second that 😎😎😎
But he usually answer questions but junkook,V and jimin are normally quiet in interviews
@@blacktanjam8341 *quiet .. you *meant* to say...
“You know us” the moment joon realized Zach actually genuinely did his research
exactlyy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well I mean most interviewers of them just bring them on without even knowing them, literally one interviewer asked them if they dance💀
He was so surprised too :D
I love most the startled look when he realizes
@@kimkardashianlostearring5277 wtf😂😂😂 what interview is that?? They no nothing about them Lmao
6:49 thanks Zach for telling them to keep using korean lyrics and not asking if they plan to make an album in english
Feelin Smith my heart exploded when he said that because I'm so glad and happy ugh
Yeah!
Yes ! That person the radio was stupid for saying that! There a Kpop group ! Not an American boy band
Same I don’t want Bts to change. If you started liking bts for their Korean music then why do u want it to change?
Feelin Smith Yes!!! I am so tired of hearing interviewers asking BTS about making music in English. I just lashed out about it.
I love the difference here between "Thank you so much for saying that" and .... *"That's the question?"*
CottonTheRabbit yES
Did RM actually say "that's the question?" In an interview? which one or were u just saying that cause u think they thought that...lol just curious
isabella marie during an interview on the radio and callers from home called in. Some guy came on and started asking about an english album and how they should cause they have a big american album, so he was like "when are you/are you going to make an english album? and RM said "...that's the question?" and then proceeded to explain that they're Korean and don't plan on making english music lmao. You could tell he was a little annoyed because a lot of interviewers had been asking about that.
+CottonTheRabbit waittt I've seen a clip of that actually. It was of course something titled like "Every American BTS Interview" or something like that. Wow. Yeah we need more Zach+BTS interviews😩
arosequartz it honestly looked like RM wanted to do just that lol 😂
Yoongi's smile when he told them to keep using Korean lyrics is everything for me After all those shitty interviews in other radios where they were asked to realise music with English lyrics, they got to this interview with REAL question, asking what the fans really want to hear and were told to keep doing what they were doing, when namjoon said it was consoling, he really meant it.
We dont need permission to dance…. 😭
@@sahmed8766😊
That smile Yoongi made when he realized that this is a real interview.
"keep using korean lyrics" what a man! i salute you zach not forcing them to do an english lyrcis album.
chimchim park I personally wouldn't mind some official english covers of some of their songs. Kpop industry basically does it already with Japanese.
I know!!! That radio caller was just like "CaN yOu ReLeAse a FuLL eNgLiSh AlBuM" and ughh poor namjoonie ;-;. I wouldnt be surprised if Cypher pt. V will be dedicated to that radio caller tho😂
Tbh no one even asked for a completely English album cause it just isn't them. Goddamn it, I may not understand a thing in Korean but I love it and I love them as they are
I️ honestly respect Zach so much for asking questions about the actually important things about bts, and especially the fact that he was the only interviewer to tell bts that them singing in Korean proves how music is beyond language.
royaltaels yeah. Agree. I love zach. 💙💙
I started to stan him hahaha
I love that he told them to keep making music in korean, it shows so much respect towards them.
No Mario Lopez said something like that too.
Mc Nyan so true!
"Keep using Korean language" Honestly at this moment, this statement brought tears in my eyes. At least there is someone who appreciated BTS's mother language & encouraged them to keep using it & not asking then to do an English cover, because that's freaking ridiculous. Watching this after their interview with Zach in BBMA. I loved this interview so so much, I mean it's the best interview BTS ever had. RM looked so happy, actually everyone felt grateful you can see that in their eyes, that sparkling appreciation. This is how interviews should be like. Can't wait to see a big Bts & Zach interview.
exactly
literally I cried I was like this is what they deserve this is how perfect interview should be especially this line Zach knew how important for bts it is to stick to their mother language to stay real and genuine artists they're
@@chhavipandey4023 And we got another precious interview of BTS with Zach😭 let's cry a bit more
@@suman1922 literally that interview when Kim Namjoon tells the interviewer see you in person we know our president is happy and loves the interview. Definitely the best interviewer.
@@chhavipandey4023 He definitely is😭 Our boys are happy to be with Zach💜
"You've made songs about going to school and being turned into studying machines" "yes, you know us!" omg.. zach was talking about N.O. era dangggggg(if you remember the mv for N.O. that was the message)
I was never an ARMY plus I haven't listened to any BTS song since DNA, so the fact that I imediately remembered N.O when they said that kinda cought me by surprise xD And I feel old now xD And I'm adding N.O to my spotify playlist after all those years again... The power Zach's words hold... Don't mind me, I'm a mess xD
YOONGI ANSWERING THE INTERVIEWER IMMEDIATELY WITHOUT NAMJOON'S TRANSLATION PROVES HE CAN SPEAK ENGLISH AS WELL MY YOONGI BABY
hi taeri I believe they had earpieces in that we’re giving them live translations, but in other interviews he (and the others too) seems to have been getting so much better at English lately! SO PROUD OF MY BIAS AND ALL 7 OF MY BABIES
If Zach Sang isn’t blowing up then he will be after this. BTS is only paving the way for more international artists that don’t speak English fluently/barely speak it at all and for ZS to not follow the trend of other interviewers looking for juicy gossip but talk about purpose, mindsets, collabs that actually mean more than music, to encourage them to keep true to themselves and CONTINUE TO SING IN YOUR NATIVE TONGUE REGARDLESS OF FOREIGN SURROUNDINGS is incredible. I’m sure when BTS returns to South Korea that they’ll talk about this guy. And when they come back to America they’ll hope and seek out this dude for more interviews. He’s a comfort zone and a breath of fresh air, not one fake smile was on none of their faces the entire time. And the fact that he patiently let them converse in Korean before Rap Monster translated was also such a great thing to me. It’s normally Rap Monster being the mouthpiece due to his fluency and some of the other members might jump in, but here everyone got a chance to say what they wanted to say. Just incredible, and I wish both Zach Sang and Beyond the Scene the absolute best.
T R U T H
yeah this has honestly been the best interview, the questions were unique and he conversed so well
you said it perfectly. to hell with the materialistic questions, if those interviewees were hoping for more views and readers with the silly questions, they are wrong, because both BTS and ARMYs do not care about aesthetic, physical appearance, or what each member is wearing today. We really have no care for those types of things and the journey in which BTS has followed to be where they are today is a miraculous yet almost heart breaking and it kind of sucks to watch that all be ignored and looked past in these interviews. They have really paved the way for music, which I seriously believe is a universal language and I think its honestly kind of sickening how people can be judgmental and label it as "strange" because its from another country or in a different language. So yes this was an amazing interview and I so commemorate him for focusing on topics which are true to our hearts and which speak to us personally in such an intimate manner, like I really got to know BTS better through this, more than I already have, and I got to learn meaningful things.
SoManyLayers I agree with u
This is exactly what I felt/thought. By far my favorite interviewer.
Everyone is talking about how good of an interviewer Zach, and I agree 100% But is no one going to talk about the English captions??😂
Ikr so accurate
louisa-vte idk but i love them
To whoever did the captions.... I owe them one 😂😂😂😂
Girl! Loved them!!
I was thinking the same lol😂😂
3:34 I love that Namjoon specifically said "it'd be good if Suga hyung or Hobi answers this" because he knows exactly what they're going to say
I'm honestly so glad that this interviewer encouraged them to continue producing their songs in Korean rather than ask them about English albums. I feel like he did proper research on them before anything, and he brought attention to their campaign as well as the message they are trying to give. Nobody wants to know their American celebrity crushes; we want to know who this kpop group is and why they are so influential. Thank you Zach for not making the boys feel uncomfortable and being respectful.
I know, I was worried when he asked if they wanted to learn English that he would continue on to suggest making English albums, but instead he did the complete opposite! Blown away!
Bri YESSSS. Best so far
td587 Exactly!!! I feel like he had so much more confidence because of that!!
Tempest Me too, can't express how much I love this interview.
People need to learn from Zach. THIS IS WHAT BTS IS ABOUT. They’re so much more than just “pop stars” and Zach clearly knew that. I love u Zach youre my hope youre my angel
yoongi legit understanding all the questions lol #fluentsugaconfirmed
actually I seen somewhere that he understands English but he's not good at speaking it
I think they might have had earpieces translating the words for them, but the interviewer was talking quite fast, so I assume it was paraphrased in Korean. However he did seem to have a better understanding on what both rm and Zach were saying
ah i wondered what the ear pieces were for lol
Yoongi had his earpiece out of his ear though :p ^
Ah, I wasn't looking that closely
Can we all just take a moment to appreciate Zach. His questions were thoughtful and you could feel that they felt comfortable around him. and let's not forget this happened in 2017 were BTS weren't as popular s they are now, they received a lot of hate. This is why I am so thankful to him because he made clear in this interview what Army loves BTS for not just simply their looks but their massages and them as individuals. He also validated Army and understood that this fanbase is so great because we Stan a group that does not just simply wants our money but wants us to become stronger by loving ourselves and believes in our future as a generation. Thank you so much Zach.
One of the best comments, i really agree with you.
1:11 RM: You feel that? Thanks for saying that. I have never seen RM so pleased in an interview... This is by far the best interview BTS has done
I'm crying rn bc this interview was just so refreshing. All the other interviews didn't really seem to care about bts, and asked the most boring and repetitive questions, sometimes even rude. But you, you my man, asked the most amazing questions that truly showed how much research you've done on bts. I could definitely see how happy Namjoon was. Like trust me, he probably likes you the best out of all the interviewers. Thank you so much for telling them to keep making music in korean, bc that's so important, and thank you so much for talking about their campaign. Much much love from armys all over the world.
#ThankYouZach
Me too i love this interview
I think this might also be because a lot of armys were complaining about how superficial the other interviews were? So yeah, great job guys (:
I second this #ThankYouZach
Yeah a lot of interviewers say they got their questions from fans, but if they did they didn't look very far because these are the kinds of questions fans have been waiting to hear. #ThankYouZach (which is trending on twitter btw 🙏)
You know it's a good interview when Yoongi volunteers to answer questions
lady sisyphus Exactly
Agree
exactly 💕💕
He have good taste 😘
He looks soo happy with the question! Like finally
I know that Namjoon is very surprised and thankful that Zach actually really knows them and what they stand for, but just look at Tae's reaction at 4:20 when Zach brings up UNICEF... it really shows how all the members are very appreciative for Zach's meaningful questions. This truly is an insightful interview.
Let's hire this person to be a traveling interviewer for BTS.
I think he was one of the only interviewers that saw BTS as people, and valued them as people, rather than "that strange Korean group that we have to talk to." Not as a commodity. That's what made the members so relaxed and that's why it was so refreshing to watch.
Elle Briske Yes! He didn’t only acknowledge their fame but also their feelings and their goals.
Honestly, I get teary-eyed when I watch this interview. RM seems so surprised and pleased at the level of TRUE interest and REAL questions that matter. I can't expressed how appreciative I feel for Zach Sang.
Makenli Essert, I come back to this interview again & again; it just makes me feel so good seeing someone really SEE the boys and engage with them at the level they actually work from. It was such a special moment. I wish more of this for them. 💜💜 As you say, thank you, Zach; ARMY loves you. 😊
same. i was like wow finally somebody who actually cares about the people who their interviewing.
Divita Joshi Same. I also like Liam McEvan. These are the only two who i think actually care about a good interview.
I was about comment this exact things. I really got emotional. This is the best interview ever.
but sometimes i think, a heavy question like this shoudlnt asked in every interview, that made it special. an easy and simple question its good when they are on america
I'm here after Namjoon's Indigo interview with Zach in 2022. If he decided to choose you to share about his debut album, then Zach, it's cause you are the best out there. Among all those nonsense interviews & silly questions they recieved during their US debut, you were the only one who appreciated what BTS did. We'll always be grateful for it 💜
Here in 2022 and my heart is still fills with joy remembering how BIG this was for us as a fandom. Seeing someone actually respect them as artist and showing their appreciation to their work.
OMG u can literally see how happy they were when he asked them about unisef and when he said to keep making songs in Korean (like look at jimin when Zach said to keep singing in Korean) #ThankYouZach
GOT7.Fefe. BTS hey can u point the time when he said that?
Farina Z 6:45
Look at Yoongi too. His little smile 💜
GOT7.Fefe. BTS thank u 😊🙏
Wow. This is hands down the best BTS interview I've ever seen!! He mentions their in depth, meaningful lyrics... how it's a struggle to remain their individual selves whilst being a BTS member,....being the first to mention their UNICEF campaign..... understanding that writing songs in Korean rather than in English is their strong, defining point,....all this while sincerely commending them and their fanbase. Dude! I've also never seen such a talkative, "outgoing" personality who's also intellectually driven with great interpersonal skills. This interviewer is EXACTLY what BTS needed. I watched other various interviews and namjoon looked so done with all the superficial, repetitive questions.
Interviewers need to learn from this man. They're more than just dolled up men who sing and rap on stage. They're human beings that are knocking down so many barriers to connect with others through their music and experiences. They're trying to make a change. And asking questions about their celebrity crushes is bullshit for all the hard work they've done since they've started.
Elizabeth Lozano ohh i love this comment so much ❤️😭 liking it wasn't enough 👏🏾
+Snow yung RIGHT?!?! THIS NEEDS TO BE AT THE TOP
PREACH GURL PREACH. If i have to hear an interviewer ask who their celebrity crush is one more time imma cry XD
2:03 look at jungkook who keeps nodding even he doesn't know what they are talking about LOL he's so adorable😭
Does anybody in the group plan on learning English fluenty? JHope: AYY!! BEE!! SEE!! D!! E!! EFF!! GEE!! 😂😂
Not to throw shade but American Media should take notes 💅
Feyre Rhysand what do you mean not to throw shade?? YOU BETTER THROW THEM HELLA SHADE FOR ASKING DUMBASS QUESTIONS LIKE WHEN ARE YOU DROPPING AN ENGLISH ALBUM TO A KPOP GROUP DBJSJS
NashS You know it. We can all tell bts are tired of those irrelevant questions 🙄
NashS But its even sadder when an 'ARMY' asks the english album question 😧😧
Feyre Rhysand Music doesn't need a language. That's the beauty of it. I will feel the same emotion in a korean album as in an English album if not more. Those "ARMYS" are stupid
PREACHHHHH THE WORDDDD
Finally an interview that focused on their campaign, their album and making them continue to wrote their songs in Korean and not English I STAN YOU #thankyouzach
I love the BTS songs in Korean but I am pretty interested if they made an English song. Rap Monster is fluent in English, Jungkook can actually sing in English (he sang a JB song) and more but only if one of their music videos reaches over 500 million views
Oof B same. I loved it too
OH GOD YES,FINALLY SOMEONE SAID WHAT WE WANTED TO SAY
Ikr!!! finally someone asking the important questions unlike the trivialities we have seen in other interviews you can feel he's honest appreciation of bts and their music ..plus his urge to keep their music in korean am deeply touched and i couldn't agree more
IKR THIS WAS THE BEST INTERVIEW SO FAR
I love how Namjoon gave tips on how to love yourself, and he even told Zach that he is special like you will never meet more genuine real honest sincere people than BTS. this is why they have so much success because they are good people and they care and love everyone especially their fans. BTS will never be forgotten brrrrrrrrrrraaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
When Zach asks "What's your end goal?" and Yoongi answers "Go to the billboard" I got emotional aaaAaahh!!! I wanna scream like "YOU MADE IT!!! YOU TOP #1 IN BILLBOARD!!!! OUR TOP #1 BILLBOARD SINGERS!!!"
Zach: "DO YOU HAVE A DESIRE TO LEARN ENGLISH?" J Hope: YESS!!....A B C D E F....." J HOPE HAS ME DEAD AHAHAHHAHAA "
Autumn Key I literally guffawed at J-Hope. He made my moring even brighter!
I watched this in the middle of the night and woke up my fam from laughing so hard. 😂
Autumn Key he literally shined over there too😂😂😂
i'm ded x_x
Hahahahaha, it's still funny. Gosh, I love hobiii
I lost it when jhope started singing his ABCs 😂
Briana Tudor same! It was really funny! 😂
Briana Tudor same here 😂😂
same lmao
I was expecting him to jokingly say hakuna matatta
Same,I was like - really hobi?
1:44 Namjoon looks so shocked here. They always deserve to be interviewed by people who actually do their research. But Zach is always on another level. Love you and thank you Zach❤
HAHAHA OMG THIS WAS THE SAME DAY AS THE "BTS WITH THE MESS' INTERVIEW. the contrast lmfaoooo
0:49 SUGA’S “I made it” KILLED ME

Isadora Lemos our soft baby made it
I'm soft
Isadora Lemos Another pharmy ♡
Isadora Lemos ME TOOOO
oh GOD finally, the only interview that i enjoy watching and it felt so comfortable. i love how Zach ask them about unicef, complimenting bangtan music content, talk about their goals/dream, and encourage them to keep making KOREAN music. you can see how their face light up especially when he ask the UNICEF questions. even Yoongi was eager to answer those questions. im sick of other interviews with those useless questions .. this is the best interview so far , Army need to send lot of flowers and gifts for his hardwork i wanna cry
Tae Tarik well let's send some flowers over!! Anyone have his PO or Office or anything by chance?
True, really satisfied with this IV. Lots of love going your way Zach, thank you for the in depth research beforehand. High quality content, indeed
Zack never fails to make great interviews. He’s the only one I watch religiously tbh, if there’s an artist that I like that visits the studio. Really hope BTS stops by the studio because the radio show is so fun and chill. They ask legit questions and actually want to get to know the artists that stop by
YES im so thankful that this interview actually discusses BTS's music, UNICEF and all the hard work from coming from a small company. It doesn't just talk about boring questions that have been asked a million times ! And also the fact that Zach is treating them with the same respect as he would with another western artist and isn't asking about collaborations but about them as their own artist.
Please sent him some flowers or something. Best interview for real!!!
there was so much peace, depth and healing in this interview. they were raw with what they felt and shared their perceptions in an intimate way. it didn't even feel like an interview, it felt like being on a rooftop during the night, talking about life's reality and what more it could offer.
Oh my gosh this comment is so true, and is such a beautiful way to describe this moment in BTS’s and Zach’s lives. Thank you!
4:24 the way their faces light up when Zach mentions Unicef they were so happy nooooo
Zach: keep using korean lyrics MY PRESIDENT
I screamed with delight when he said that

pinktans make media great again! 😂

pinktans HES BEEN READING OUR TWEETS YES I LOVE HIM
you know the interview is good when yoongi is actually interested and happy
nurul I think he really tried to understand and include himself
nurul yeah he's like the actual mood indicator
Haha very true😂
4:42 the caPTIONS OMG: " highkey shade @ bad interviewers lmao -_- " they are so accurate!
"go to the billboard" "i made it" 🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺
Thank you for being the one interviewer who asked about their music, their journey, and all their charity work instead of just what they liked about America and how crazy ARMYs are
1:08 i see namjoon understand this isnt an ordinary superficial interview like all those others they had to deal with. his smile says a lot.
@Marguerite Alvarez Did you malfunction?
@Marguerite Alvarez Okay honey go home your mother won't like you being disrespectful when you're 5.
Dinelle Worrell Dont give them more attention that’s just what they want
@@kevinnew9252 Honestly I'm laughing at this maturity level🤣
Marguerite Alvarez LMAO WHAT
Yoongi makes me wish I was fluent in Korean because he’s such a deep thinker. It’s so great to hear him talk because he’s otherwise so quiet.
6:52 my favourite part honestly, he tells them to keep using Korean lyrics❤️ takes me back to that one radio interview where one bloke was like when are you releasing an English album and joonie was just like🙄 Look how far they’ve come using a language that numbers wise, barely many people speak, it’s incredible. The reason they can write so beautifully is because they are writing from the heart, in their language. Honestly being a bts fan requires effort, if we want to know what they are saying we have to look at translations. It forces us to look at and really analyse the lyrics so we truly understand what they are saying. We are not just casually listening, we are receiving the message they wanted to send. It’s beautiful.
Omg this interviewer is the best 1. He casually sits next to them and don't stand akwardly 1 meter away 2. He asks questions with deep meanings like, you know he is truely interested and thought about it 3. He asks questions that NOT EVERY INTERVIEWER ASKED BEFORE HIM 4. He compliments them in a nice and honored way, not like *aww you're soooo cooool* I like him
YESYES zach truly cares about all the artists that he encounters ,,, he needs to he more known
Also compliment us ARMYS I mean SO PROFESSIONAL
I really love him as an interviewer like the deepness in the questions makes it evident that he was really interested in whom he was interviewing not just asking random unthoughtful question for interview's sake. #THANKSZACH💜
"Keep using korean lyrics" THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU the Korean language is beautiful and they have so many words that can just be translated with exact meaning through english. They wouldn't be able to tell the stories they do in a language that isn't their own. If the make English music it just wont have the same affect, the same meaning. This is something people need to understand, cause their music isn't just about sounding nice, it's about the stories they have to tell. Thank you so much Zach for this interview, truly it was the best one and probably will be the best one we are gonna get out of this whole trip. ARMY's respect and support you
thank YOU BLESS THIS COMMENT BLESS
Jenezy Marie i wish i can like this comment many many times
Whoa my comment blew up, I really appreciate people understanding this subject (also our boys slayed last night)
English is just a language and so is Korean. All that matters is the music. Bless Zach and this comment.❤
I really respect your comment.
Just love the way Namjoon kept shoving the mic for Jungkook to answer a question and JK simply stares at him and doesn't
5:57 Jimin cringing is literally EVERYTHING ❤😂💜
Abhishree Mandal he’s cute 🥺💜
This is moving. I mean I had tears seeing how happy they were by being asked those questions. Before this interview it was just a bunch of unnecessary things like: "What's your crush" or "Explain shocking or crazy things fans did for you" and they even asked them to sing in English. Like, please. Show some respect for what they have done, if you just need an English boyband don't stan BTS. They're from South Korea and they're where they are today because of their style, culture and personalities. It's just disrespectful being American and being asked to sing in Korean, it's not even normal, so don't treat them as your dolls. And finally I see RM happy because of the questions regarding their music lyrics, message and their project with UNICEF. I've been loving these guys since 2013 and I'm so proud of who they've become. So well-mannered and truly concerned about their fans and social matters. Thank you for this amazing interview, they thanked you so many times because they really needed someone showing real interest in them!
Cheza hhh Exactly!! I got so sick of the dumb silly questions.
AMEN 🙏 I've been watching this video all day and I'm still deeply moved because Zach is doing such a good job at respecting and encouraging them. You could totally see their relief in their smiles and posture when they realized that they were finally being taken serious :') Zach is such a sweet guy I wish I was a local Army so that I could thank him in person. I think I just became his new fan~ ㅋㅋ
Yes!!! Yes thank you for this comment!!! Exactly!!!
Exactly, I'm so happy seeing them feeling relieved.. we love them so much and them being happy makes us happy too! He did a great job indeed!
It's beautiful that we all feel the same about it, like I felt so sad seeing them uncomfortable being asked to do things in English and I feared they thought that was what we international fans wanted.. I'm from Italy and I wouldn't ask my faves to sing in Italian it doesn't make sense at all and they wouldn't be them!
I almost cried when he mentioned the UNICEF campaign. Even RM seemed surprised. Finally, someone cares enough to look into them like this. I'm so grateful to Zach for this and as always our Namjoonie killed it with his conversation skills. Such an intelligent person. Edit: And oh my god, I freaking love them so much more. Talking about how you need to love yourself and tell the interviewer to practice self love? That's truly inspirational. And because of this campaign, I've been working on self love myself. I remind myself every day that I am not a bad person and I am not ugly and I am worthy of love even if it's mostly myself right now. It's okay, find the love within yourself and make sure you're doing well, physically and mentally and emotionally.
Tianna Graham haha jokes on you im already crying..
I agree.
Yes fam. Agreed.
Also look at Tae's expression before and after he said UNICEF 4:17 and 4:24. He looks so happy and proud that it's being mentioned
Oh look, an American interviewer who actually seems like he cares about their songs and message, rather than just their fame. And who has clearly done his research and actually listened to their music and read their lyrics. I mean seriously, this is what all the interviewers should be doing. (Also my bby Suga talked so much, goes to show he actually thought the questions were worth answering)
The way namjoon said you are too when zach started talking about armys being special is so wholesome 😭😭 I love bts so much
CAN WE GIVE HIM A BBMA OR AN AMA FOR THE BEST INTERVIEWER?! 👏👏👏👏
Juaniita2 no he needs a raise!
ROXXYBlade SC even better!!! 👏👏
Give him a Grammy and a raise.
Reese Sasing 👏👏👏👏👏
*cough* an Oscar *cough*
BY FAR the best interview they’ve ever done, thanks so much for this Zach !! ARMY really appreciate it, especially how you asked about UNICEF and told them to continue making songs in korean instead of english, wow thanks so much
agreed!!! it was perfect
Ikhlas E 👍Agreeeee👏
IKR he is so understanding and thoughtful
Ikhlas E totally agree with him they definitely should keep up their korean lyrics and their intentions behind the songs because they are bts and not some kind of mainstream western band😊
Zach asks the best questions he doesn’t talk about stupid things like whats your favourite colour he genuinely has a huge interest in BTS and their work huge respect for you zach
literally the person who put up the subtitles needs a raise ASAP😂💜
Yes the subtitles were lmao
I feel like suga can understand them talk to eachother
Kpop_is_ Life he does
He talked this time cuz he was actually a good interviewer
I think he understands most of the things that are said in interviews. He just finds it more difficult to speak English out loud. If I remember correctly, he can read and write English.
Kpop_is_ Life indeed
Kpop_is_ Life they all have translators in their ears
Aw everytime Zach asks a question, I can tell Suga is trying so hard to understand and he really does! Sometimes he doesn't even need RM to translate, other members as well but Suga is doing amazing, can we just take a moment. They've learned so much English yayy👏🏼👏🏼
Also to take a moment for a real interviewer asking REAL questions about their work, career, projects, unicef, etc. thank you Zach!!🙏👍🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
isabella marie i know everyone else was like "WhO'S yOuR cELebRiTy cRuSh" or "WhO wOuLd yOu CollAB wItH", or, my favorite "wHeN wILL yOu ReLeAsE a *FuLL eNgLiSh AlBum* "😤 Zach was so considerate and I could tell RapMon was so happy and eager to answer all of his questions
+Ellyeeshies yes, exactly!! This was by far my favorite American interview they've ever done, mostly because of Zach's questions that were asked. You could tell he really did his research and knew about them before the interview, he didn't just ask random questions like those you pointed out. That's why this interview was the best😩👏🏼If feel like they felt a relief of "AH FINALLY AN INTERVIEWER THAT ASKS IMPORTANT QUESTIONS AND UNDERSTANDS US." I want more BTS interviews w/Zach❤️👏🏼👏🏼
They had ear pieces on with a guy on the side translating everything in their ear. RM was the only one without one. They'll get better with time though. They've already improved so much
+Veronica Lopez oh haha my bad. but even with other interviews when they don't wear the translator ear pieces, they do pretty good for the most part. and yeah agreed, they'll definitely get better soon!! yes, they've improved immenselyyyy💜so proudu
Zach is one of those few MCs/hosts that I trust with Bangtan.
5:09 The captions keep saying RM being a good dad, translating for the kids, J-hope laughs like a little bunny I love the captions omg
THIS GUY KNEW WHAT TO DO. HE PROBABLY SAW ALL THE ARMYS UPSET ABOUT THE INTERVIEWERS ASKING THE SAME QUESTIONS OVER AND OVER AGAIN AND HE DECIDED TO CHOOSE TOPICS THAT ARE MORE IMPORTANT. IM SO GLAD HE MADE THE EFFORT TO DO THIS. AMAZING INTERVIEW. IM VERY THANKFUL
okai crystal Zach in general always ask really nice questions regardless of the artist. He does his research and invest his time, this is why he’s my favourite interviewer to watch on my leisure time. I’m elated that he asked BTS the right questions and the subtle shade Joonie threw at the end made it even better 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Zack is hands down the best radio interviewer out there. Just kinda like the other persons reply, the Zack Sang Show is the only radio show I watch because they never fail to make great interviews. It’s also one of the fun and chillest interviews too. Him and the 2 others treat the artists that come by their studio like long time friends :) Also Zacks a very informed passionate person who loves his job and music
@SmileyJ-Hope I'm glad to hear that authentic Journalists are still out there. If he's like that with most artists than he should deserve all the love
Natalie H. He really is. And he’s always praising every single artist that stops by the studio. Hopefully one day BTS gets to go to the studio and have a chat with him and the other two interviewers. 40+ minutes of listening to them have great conversation need to happen ASAP.
Zach did such a good job with his questions, oh my goodness
Are you an Indian army? Sorry just asking
ikr!! and look how happy bts became and how comfortable namjoon was and his big huge smile when Zach asked abt their songs and unicef! Namjoon was so happy that Zach knew them. We need more interviewers like him.
haha np! I'm Indian but from America
zach sang needs to do a full interview with BTS. his interviews are the only ones I actually watch because he asks so many great questions and makes every artist feel so comfortable
I literally cried when RM said just tap yourself and say you are doing great I did that. I'm in love with this interviewer he really asked the such great questions and appreciate them for what they are doing.
So many crappy interviews and "interviewers" that only asked questions about themselves. But Zach definitely did us proud by asking so many great questions that everyone, and I personally, have always wanted to know. When BTS first came here, I expected plenty of interviews to at least MENTION their work with the UNICEF. However, absolutely no one has until now; and until now, it was disappointing. This was a beautiful thing that Zach did. He certainly reached out with the voice of Armys and delved into the heart of what our fandom truly is, and what BTS truly is. This was definitely the best and most beautiful interview I've ever seen with BTS. And I'm positive the boys feel the same way. #ThankYouZachSang
Visual Nonexistence Meeeeeeeee tooooooooooooooo. I was so happy Zach did that!!!!!😭
Visual Nonexistence YES!!!
Yeah same he actually knew what he was talking about
I completely agree! I absolutely loved this interview. Zach was so well informed and he had some awesome questions. Best BTS interview by far.
That's true!!I have the same feeling with you..Thanks for him talking about the UNICEF and the depth of BTS music!!
namjoon even told yoongi when they were asked about their hardships and stuff “just say whatever you want to say” i love zach this interview made them 27292728x more comfortable than most other interviews they had in the us
when did namjoon tell yoongi that?
5:04 oh that's subtitle touch my heart Rm translate for his kids 😭🤧
You know BTS was really pleased with the interview when RM repeatedly said “Thank you for saying that.”
Other interviewers should take notes from Zach
jisoos christ 👏👏
This is the best interview so far, serius topics, respect for our guys and not the typical 'whos your crush' thing. Much love to Zach and BTS♡♡
YES.
EXACTLY! This interview felt like the only one where they actually wanted to KNOW BTS!! 👍👍
jisoos christ true
This was such a good interview. I'm glad Zack actually took the time to find out more about them and what they are doing as artist as well as appreciate the things they've already done. Also shout out to him requesting them to continue writing in Korean. It's not like I'm against them ever releasing and English remix or song if that's what they truly wanted to do, but right now I think they want to write in Korean and they should because it's what they're best at.
The thing is, I can't see them ever *truly* wanting to release English music. They can articulate the thoughts, themes and emotions that they want to express through their music best in Korean. They all have it as a first language, and they all speak it 24/7 in their everyday lives. Any English lyrics would have to be either written by someone else, or an awkward translation of lyrics that they'd written in Korean. They wouldn't be able to convey the same feeling in a language that only one of them can speak well. If they ever did release English music, I can't see it as being anything other than an attempt to gain Western recognition/fame and adhere to Western musical expectations, and the whole thing leaves a bad taste in my mouth. It might be a controversial opinion, and sound like I'm being judgemental, but I'd honestly be kinda disappointed in them. It would feel like they were prioritising fame and Western validation over who they are, tbh.
I agree 100% with your comment. I was really REALLY happy that Zach told them to continue singing and writing in Korean as sooo many interviewers have asked them about having English songs and i feel like it might pressure them into it. But the thing is those songs just won't work cause it's not them. Just like you said, they won't be able to express and say what they truly want to say in English...plus they are Korean so I feel they should stay true to themselves and sing in Korean...that's how we, Army, like them. I was also really happy because Zach truly seemed interested in BTS while other interviewers didn't. You could see he knew their songs and what BTS is about. Really happy with this interview!!!
exactly! he was so respectful and I am so glad that he asked them relevant questions!
he's a good interview
I've been really really really nervous that they're gonna go back to Korea feeling like they have to make English songs or an English album, just because interviewers keep mentioning it. But hopefully they recognise that it's just the American media, not their fans, who think that they should make English songs. The majority of fans that I've seen are actually super uncomfortable with the idea of an English album. It's not their fault that America seems to think that songs have to be in English in order to be valid. I'd honestly rather they stay true to themselves and their culture and language than get more Western recognition/popularity from English songs - they've got this far with Korean lyrics, there's no reason why they should change anything.
that`s it! i officially love this man! this is what an interview is supposed to be like. ask the artist relevant questions, make reseonable reserches about the artist. making them feel appriciated for their work. sir you gained my big respect. i saw yiur interview with monstaX too, it was dope and matured. keep up the great work.
thank you for watching!! : ) please subscribe!
@@zachsangshow did that already 😊
I love how Zach has interviewed Bts four years in a row.
Interview is meant to be for the fans to get to know their idols better. Yet majority of the US interviews asked the exact same questions, which didn't matter for the fans. It was a waste of time for them and BTS. Zach however demonstrates how an interview is done. Research, try to understand who they are and where they come from and know what current topics are important for them and their fans at the moment to be discussed.
Joon was so thankful that he brought up their UNICEF campaign. He was so excited to talk about it
Zach and Liam are intellectuals that I stan
I believe he even asked the Armys for questions they would like answered. A true interviewer asks the fans and actually ASKS those questions. Zach has my respect ✊
Sugas low-key amazing at English. He’s just very shy I love him so much. Such a beautiful baby🤣
MinYoongiinfiresme yeah he’s shy shy shy!
He definitely knows more than he lets on. I hope he gains confidence if he wants to speak English more. But if he does t that’s fine too :)
MinYoongiinfiresme ikr, I loved how he understood Zach said without Joon translating it.
Yeah he said it himself that he can understand English very well but too embarrassed to speak it
They are nodding at a translater around 2:35 but it is very discrete low voice
This is my comfort interview
Same
it's an honor
watching this 5 years later & like.. you could TELL the trust in Zach was instantaneous for Namjoon (and the rest of the members). you're a real one, Zach.
This interview is the freaking best interview that BTS had. Even in 8 minute short time, he actually scope all the necessary topic that relevant and important to be discuss in an interview. Zach really did a research and studied BTS and delivered the interview just right. It didn't have any repetitive and useless questions like other interviews. Zach is the real interviewer. You can see how interested RM and Suga to answer the questions and how happy they are when Zach mention about their UNICEF campaign. And I love on how Namjoon is shook and happy when Zach mention BTS's song 'N.O' by saying "going to school and turning into study machine". And my favorite part is when Zach said " My ask is always write your lyrics in Korean ". This interview cleanse all my cringe and my urge to slap someone when hearing/watching crap interview.
honestly! it's not even the best non-Korean interview. it's actually one of their best interviews like in general.
Eunhae Lee PREACH girl! Completely ageee 100% and I love when you said "cleansed all my cringe"😂😂
YES! None of the frankly embarrassing "Who do you want to collaborate with in America / Which American artist inspires your music" rubbish. Zach appreciates they are KOREAN artists and it makes a huge difference.
Lily Knox I know all of the other American interviewers were just asking general questions related to American culture (American collabs, Hollywood crushes, etc.😤😤) Zach made them feel so comfortable to say their own opinions about the topics they really want to talk about
Eunhae Lee Yesss I know it was amazing
He said and asked all the questions we wanted them to ask, he didn’t treat them like children like some of the other interviewers. ZACH SANG YOU DA REAL MVP! THANK YOU!!
Saakshi Sharma yes!!! Especially when he brought up about not catering to what just English speakers what because ppl always asking if they will do an album in English which annoys me so mych
Stumbled upon this interview after listening to RM's recent Indigo interview with Zach, where he admitted he specifically requested that the western interview be with Zach. Now I know why 😭🙌💜 This was an excellent interview, especially for that era!
01:27 j-hope is like: give this man a raise
When RM said "you know us" I felt so happy because I feel like for the first time, the American interviewer is truly knowledgable on their music and history :)
I love you and i hope you are doing well
It's times like this where I realise that Namjoon's English is a serious blessing
Zach sang saying “Crack western pop culture” is basically saying BTS PAVED THE WAY. So true!!
I swear there’ll never be an interviewer as introspective and excited as Zach
That was actually a very very good interview. Finally someone who informed himself and also asked more about their music and stuff, not just dumb questions like "What's your celeb crush or how is it to be this popular?"
True ❤
Exactly. He's a good interviewer.
Zach is one of the few interviewers who gets people’s music and does his research. His interviews are always my favorite and he makes artists feel understood/comfortable.
I completely agree
Agreed!
RM was really impressed by Zach. He was thanking him again again for such thoughtful questions.😀
Yes😭💜
and I felt really happy because we need more interviews like that.
@@Allhailhitmanbang your name omg😂😂😂
IM BACK AND INDIGO BY RM WAS RELEASED and Namjoon just said that he was impressed by Zack
@@im_whalien when was that ? It's nice heard that
The fact that Zach looked into what BTS actually means...and that RM was thanking him for it makes me touched and breaks my heart.
A REAL interview, so good. Zach really did his research.
Ok suga ok..... he made it 😂😂
Zay Tae When he pick up the mic, I thought he's going to talk something deep... you know... 😂
shawty imma party till the sun down even in another interview jimin wanted to say something and he didn't get to because the interviewer started to speak
I'm glad he's finally talking in this interview too. Like he's been so quiet in the other ones. Clearly this Zach guy made them feel comfortable which is soo so great!! best interview so far.
Zay Tae I burst out laughing then realized that I shouldn't cause people were still sleeping in my house 😂
Joey August it actually was he was concerned about their projects
“My hand is sweaty, sorry” haha, omg the whole interview was so wholesome, he didn’t ask them about their personal life, didn’t make them feel uncomfortable, and just kept asking real questions, I wish more interviewers were like Zach. I love how he actually prepares himself before his interviews, wow, he’s just so good
Классный комментарий, но я не хочу портить своим лайком такую красивую цифру 555😆
Zach Sang is one of the best interviewer I've ever seen in my life.
5 years later I'm here to appreciate Zach for taking his time to really learn about BTS and asking questions that madr their face light up!
