Started using your techniques at my work, getting better everytime, customers are over the moon with the results, money and time saved. Thank you😊
Thank you for taking all the extra time to make these videos. You approach things differently from any of the other channels and make these fixes seem approachable to people who don’t have all of the pro equipment. I’ve been enjoying learning from you. Keep it up!
I also second that comment
Great feedback thanks
Every car body shop in the country must hate this guy. Giving out all the tricks of the trade to save people money...how refreshing is that👍
You just can't argue with results such as what you have here. Thank you for sharing your expertise.
So impressed by this.. it seems so easy when done by a professiona...I've never had the courage to start on paint/bodywork repairs but your approach is really almost simplistic to watch...gotta be worth a try...thanks for posting
Great video but could hardly hear you over the polisher But the result looked perfect to me 😊
Yes I wasn't aware of this. Probably talking rubbish anyway
I put on the subtitles...
Nothing less than brilliant. And that's coming from the nephew of a 50yr veteran panelbeater who never told me anything more than the basics. Thank you so much for sharing all these tricks of the trade. Priceless!
Thanks for the feedback 👍🏻👊🏻
@@cvrpov can order from USA?
Just found your channel and it’s brilliant. Thanks so much for sharing your techniques. For somebody with not a lot of money, this is a real life saver! Just for future reference. It’s hard to hear you sometimes when you’re using the machine. Mot sure if you can do anything about and it certainly won’t stop me watching you content. Just subscribed btw😊
Common sense and genuine encouragement! Thank you for all your tips and tricks.
Thanks for watching!
Thanks for the valuable information. It's definitely encouraging and takes away the guess work
Thanks again for your time and excellent guides to help us all with car issues.
No problem
Very interesting approach. As a DIYer with an interest in keeping our car tidy without going crazy on $£€¥ I get that simply filling a deep scratch with basecoat is a quick simple way to bring the paint surface back up to level without using paint putty and all that hassle .. but I wouldn't have thought of rubbing a base coat laden cloth over the existing clear top coat then sanding/buffing. Intriguing!
This is a great series of videos, I’ve got road rash on the rear arches of my car and going to try this and your other techniques to tidy it up. 👍
Great stuff thanks
WOW!! Awesome of you sharing your expertise & secrets. Cheers Mate!! You THE MAN!!
Looks fantastic, you’re an artist with mad skills!
Your knowledge is worth your weight in gold 🤩
I really like this channel. Can’t wait to do it on my vehicles.
No nonsense paintwork repairs, brilliant channel 😎
Thanks mate that's exactly what I'm trying to achieve
Excellent presentation! Clear description and awesome result!
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks mate. I’ve had a door scratch off a non licensed/insured non English chap who wasn’t too pleasant…I haven’t had a cost for it yet. But looking at this I’m prepared to buy a Halfords Colour code kit and have a go myself before I get ripped…thank you so much👍
Awesome work mate, cheers from Down Under.
You sir are a magician, incredible work and talent.
Thank you! Cheers!
What a great skill to have. I remember going to a garage to view a car years ago and running a mile when I saw the scratches and chips on it. I though the salesman was having a laugh when he said it was waiting 'prep'.
Just lazy to be honest
Thank you so much for this mate! Not many people share their tricks. Thanks again for a great vid ❤
No problem 👍
Nice work Thank you for all your effort teaching us
Thank you Sir, I've learned a few of your techniques. Saved me some good cash.
GREAT video! Looks flawless to me!!!
Hey now. That’s amazing looking 👀. Great video thank you.
Wow! Awesome job! Thank you so much. Brilliant.
Really good tips. Seen this technique done before and is was mind blowing 🤯 No brushes, toothpicks, etc. Just 1 index finger.
Works great on the right damage
Thanks for posting, very helpful.
Absolutely amazing. I wouldn’t have believed a technique like this would work as well as it did if I hadn’t seen it with my own eyes. I have a similar project to do on my own car. Hope it works out as well for me!
No problem mate, good luck and enjoy the hobby
Having watched how you do it, the result is really surprising. Looks great.
Thanks for watching
So far Saved me an absolute fortune mate 👏👍
That's great
Another fantastic video iv been watching you for years and your content genuinely is as straightforward as it gets you explain it in a way that anyone can attempt it. Iv learn so much, I'm a moblie valeter by trade and all the tricks iv picked up over the years helps me offer a better service....so big respect to you.
Much appreciated. Thanks for the support
Where you based mate I’ve got a some chips and a few scratches that need sorting is that something you can do? @nailz84
Thankyou for sharing these videos mate, much appreciated.
Glad you like them!
Excellent , a body shop would charge a fortune and you made it look so easy, 👍
Perhaps but a good body and paint shop would sand the paint down past the defects, primer it, paint it, and it would be a permanent repair... The only thing I don't know about this type of "repair" is How Long does it last???
Awesome mate, Truly great result! Well done thanks for sharing
No problem 👍
Beautiful job.
Thank you! Cheers!
Videos for ordinary people to follow. Excellent 👍
That's what this channel is about mate so I hope that comes across
Great transformation best wishes thanks for sharing 👍
Thank you too
thanks again from Perth WA. I am learning a lot from you for minor paint repairs on both daughters car, thanks for keeping them to around 10 minutes makes it easier to absorb, basically, solvent paint, 1500 and 2000 grit and a good compound with a DA or rotary and you can go a long way for DIY repairs if we follow your steps.
Also from Perth 🤙
Mate that looks fantastic I’ve going to give that a try thankyou
Good stuff mate
fantastic video mate thanks for uploading this.
No problem
A timely video. I bought a 22-year-old BMW last week, and as one would expect, it's got quite a bit of road rash, door dings, and scratches. I may give your techniques a try before i take it to a body shop.
Very satisfying to watch.
Definitely a huge improvement. Thanks
No problem!
That's brilliant man. I've got a black car but it's not on the road but my silver car is peppered on the front. I think it might be harder to do but I do have a white peppered van too that it will probably work on 😂 I want to do them all now ffs great work mate
Very surprised at the finish!! Great informative video
Cheers
Another excellent video. Thanks for uploading 😊
My pleasure!
Greatly apreciate your videos. Thank you buddy ❤
Glad you like them!
Great video excellent job Really enjoyed your demonstration video Thank you
Glad you enjoyed it
Great video!!! I will try this method
Please do! Cheers
Brilliant video, saving us some money for sure mate 👍
Glad I could help
Nicely done! Only thing I would add is don't do this (especially the compounding part) outside in direct sunlight (although that applies to pretty much all polishing materials).
Yep I agree
This was great!!!! Thank you so much I have before and after photos however there is no option to upload them
Absolutely brilliant, great vid & thanks for sharing your knowledge. I've got a black car that's peppered with chips on the front, so you've inspired me to have a crack, cheers 👍
Cheers
Brilliant. Thanks for sharing.
Very good results, as usual! And besides being pretty sure that's single-stage paint, I wanted to mention that I've seen some lady in Instagram (DetailGirl, I think) that actually smears on the paint (with a vilt) and then she goes straight to buffing - without sanding. I suppose that's an option as well. Only on big chips she touches up with a toothpick and sands those a little prior to buffing. Your input is always appreciated though, CVR POV. Thank you for sharing! 🙂🙏
New subscriber from the 1st vid i saw of yours you had me at hello:) and also love the fact the narration was drowned out by the buffing tool 😂 im not hating i got the the gist of it... amazing stuff!!
Thanks for watching
A couple of people have mentioned that with the audio..strange as it was fine on my computer but I'll look into that in future thx
that is just amazing content az i allways say stunning work great channel great work fairplay bro you are just a legend on what you do and shair to all on youtube
Kian your support is always appreciated man
I love it ❤❤.thanks .that's amazing
Class.loving ur videos.thankyou
No probs
So ive had 2 different packs from these guys. An Ice silver and a Midnight blue, both metallics. The silver was a little trickier as it is obviously lighter and had a ton of flakes in it as the oem paint does, took more time and a few more applications. The blue was a lot easier, I guess darker colours hide more. The different types of damage take to different methods better than others. Some can be filled with a brush, others a snapped cocktail stick and dabbing, multiple 'coats'...then using a denibbing file, and some with your fingers. A bit of trial and error its easy enough to pick up. Don't over do it and you can correct any mistakes. Believe it or not an old pad seems to work much better.
Silver is always going to be tricky, even when spraying it. Glad you have had an open mind and been adventurous with the kits. Thanks for the feedback
Simply brilliant .
Thank you! Cheers!
Nice job
Cheers mate!!! Blessings!!😃👍🏻
This is great!
Have watch 2 videos from you, love it! And i will try My self now in spring. But can you please write in the description what you exactly use in your video in detail From Sweden, love😊
Awesome videos.. Don't mind them being a longer because the info and education value is priceless. People can always speed up or fast forward if they haven't got the patience.
Excellent Job
Thank you! Cheers!
Did not think it would of turned out so well
very impressive!
Thank you! Cheers!
Dam bro came out amazing.
Great video, such an eye opener what can be done without full respray. I really could do with this sort of work on my car. Can I book this in with you?
Got a quote for 1k to respray the side of a mk6 fiesta because some turnip keyed it...previous owner must have enemies 😂 i got some panther black rattle can spray. Fingered the life out the panels with the paint. I didn't trust the depth of paint to hit it with any sand paper. But i did machine polish a plenty. It really does look so much better. Hardly visible. Perfect for an ageing car. It doesnt have to be perfect. Just presentable.
I couldn't hear what you were saying when you were using the tool... so what type of pad did you use? What speed setting did you use on the machine and what type of paint did you use and where's the best place to get it? Sorry for all the questions but you've inspired me to do some work on my old car and feel I could actually do it. Cheers and well done 👍
I use www.paintgear.co.uk for the solvent paint. I used farecla g360 at a low/medium speed and plenty of it to keep the cut high
Gifted that man 😉
Thanks man
I'm just new to your channel and have a few questions. #1 at what speed do you run your buffer? #2 did you clearcoat and if not how do you blend that into the clearcoated portion? Thank you for posting these, I have much catching up to do. TTFN
Probably clearcoat mixed with base color and then applied
One word, awesome
Cheers
Nice work & nice product! Do you ship outside the UK also (like Netherlands)?
Top man again
Cheers dale
Very good work but it would be good if you said how you prepare the paint and also how long it takes to dry or how long it can be polished thanks
Didn't really prepare the paint. Just make sure it's fairly clean beforehand. The rubbed in paint was left about 10 mins
Great job
Great video great channel
Thank you!
Good result!
Thank you! Cheers!
One word GENIUS
Not sure about that haha. 15+ years in the job though
@@cvrpov you are mate thing is what you do works and your kind enough to share it Thanks
Bro ur really educating
Hope so
Great tutorials. Did you remove polish before rubbing the paint in.
Great videos! Thank you for sharing your expertise. This simple diy approach is much appreciated. Wondering whether this technique would also work on paint damage from type II bird fractured etching?
Check my other bird muck removal vids. This method doesn't really work on it unfortunately
@cvrpov thanks for the reply mate. I still gave it a try since the technic is really effortless and yes you are correct it didn't have the same results as in your video, though still there is a huge improvement compared to the initial condition. Thanks a lot again for sharing your ideas and expertise. Saved me from big spending.
Please tell me what kind of black solvent based paint you used? The base cost on my 2004 Corvette is water based. What should I buy?
So GOOD.
Love the video! Maybe during voiceovers lower the volume for the tools? Makes hearing you easier!
Yep noted ta
I put on the subtitles...
That is impressive.
So cool and skilful
Gracias, eres un artista, un saludo.
Appreciate it
Thank You.
Would you put any top coat lacquer to protect the paint, or ceramic coat the new paintwork? I'm so impressed mate!!!!! Why didn't I have the bottle to try this in my younger years?????? I regret it big time, my friend...... take care 🙏🏻
Love your videos, what do you use to prep the area before using paint. Wax remover or do you use anything?
Nice work. what compound did you use? it cuts well and gives a good finish
Great DIY. I might just try this technique on a scratch in my bumper. How long are you waiting after you have applied the touch up paint before you started wet sanding and or polishing?
Well done
Cheers
