    • I haven't seen the musical but thought it was weird when they were promoting it they didn't mention the movie at all. There was no "Based on the movie written by Adrienne Shelly. " This beloved lovely movie was written and directed by her and ghey didn't even give her any credit - at least in the marketing. Thry honestly made it sound like sara barellis wrote it - she was credited as the writer in all the marketing I saw. ( I kmow she wrote the songs for tge musical, but the movie already had a few songs in it that were written by Adrienne ). That never sat well with me so I'm not really interested in seeing its musical version

"I could find the whole meaning of life in those sad eyes" is an actual line from the film and Sara turned it into a beautiful song lyric. • Much like Selena with Dreaming of You, I believe that had Adrienne Shelly lived to see the success of this movie, she would’ve been one of the most sought-after indie writers in the business.

    @stottie92@stottie924 жыл бұрын
    • I'm probably older, but like my Mom said, and they're always right--age is just a number! I never knew there was a movie or musical....Actually I heard of 'movie.' Tragedy about the movie's creator/writer. RIP🌹😢
