Edinburgh, the capital of Scotland is located in Lothian on the Firth of Forth’s southern shore and is a center for education especially in the fields of medicine, law, literature and engineering. The city was the first city in the world to have fire service in 1703 and is currently the greenest city in UK, even though its nickname is “Old Smoky” due to an era when the air was full of smoke because of the amount of coal being burnt for heat.

I visited Edinburgh back in 1971 while in the US Navy during the Edinburgh Festival. Truly a magical city.

I've lived in Edinburgh for my whole life and in a few years time I will be moving some where else to start my adult life. I'm only just realizing how lucky I am to live here. Hope to come back some day😁

@CT20 Edinburgh is far nicer than London. I have been to London about 25 times. I have only been to Edinburgh 2 times and that is enough for me to know that the place is far nicer!

I’m Italian, and we know something about great and beautiful cities. So , yes I can easily put Edinburgh at the same level of city like Florence, Venice and Bologna. That’s why me and my girlfriend decided to move here , and be part of your city

I went to Edinburgh a few years ago, its a magical place. Everyday it felt so unreal and it was like I was in a movie. I particularly liked this old library, just being there made me feel like I was 10x smarter.

I remember when I started as a Fresher at EU. We were advised, as we walked around the city streets, always to look upwards, to appreciate the architecture at its best. Excellent advice.
That's good, as long as you don't live in a country that "civilized" people destroy every few decades. Then you don't have very nice facades.

This made me remember my trip to Scotland in 2012, and how I enjoyed. Edinburgh, and the Highlands and a lot of other things coming to mind right now such as to drive on the left that was a little bit caotic at first. I’ll come back some day.

I was in Edinburgh, Scotland, UK with my father in September 2012. It's such a fabulous place. There are lots of castles, etc. I thought people were very friendly.
I immediately fell in love with this city, every step was a time machine and the people were just amazing, I have never visited such an awsome city and Scotland now became my dream city to live

Just the city me and my girlfriend decided to move and live in . One of the only few city you can recognise by skyline and music. Just a surprise in every step . The hidden street, the majestic castle, the bagpipes sound in the streets,the village around the city and the great atmosphere in the august festival. The best gateway to the Scotland, a great example of well preserved city .
Visitei Edimburgo em Janeiro e fiquei maravilhado. A cidade é linda e respira-se história a cada esquina. Além disso, a população é bastante simpática e acolhedora. Tenciono voltar, sem qualquer dúvida, e aconselho vivamente a todos os que não conhecem a considerar uma visita. Desde Portugal os voos são bastante em conta e as opções de alojamento são acessíveis. It was like travelling in time of my past and even thought the place doesn't exist until I saw several pictures & videos of Edinburgh. A place that looks straight out of a magical dream where you're supposed to walk in the streets wearing either gowns or turtlenecks with long coats and boots, nothing in between. I never imagined that a place like this actually exists, it's like this place has it's own period charm with centuries old buildings preserved for so long, the weather there just triples the Beauty atleast for me, I absolutely love gray weather, I just get excited for no reason and being at a place like this with a weather like that is a dream that I wanna make true so desperately. Imagine sitting at a cafe with a book, or walking through the streets and the bridges surrounded by such marvellous creations, and the wind touching you while you're feeling like a main character, my god, how badly I wanna experience this! Wait for me EDINBURGH, I gonna be there, even if it takes a decade, I'll definitely definitely come to you!

very Beautiful Footage
Forza Horizon 4 brought me here. A open world racing game that is set in the UK and includes this City as it's area for city street racing. Just in case people see this comment and wonder what Forza Horizon 4 Is. They did a pretty good job of representing the city in the game. Not a 100% accurate mind you, as well that would probable take up all the available data needed to make the game, but they got it looking good and included many of the more notable landmarks.
