This 100% WORKING LEGO® Minecraft Shulker Box is fully functional and looks just like the one in Minecraft! Not only can this shulker box store items, but it has password protection too! It's got the same animation as Minecraft, and some extra ones too! The best part of this video is the end...there'll be a big explosion you won't want to miss! I think you'll love seeing this 100% WORKING LEGO® Minecraft Shulker Box in real-life!
Just wanted to say that I believe you're super special, and that Jesus loves you.

  • That was a more dramatic explosion than I expected! I wouldn't have been able to drop it like that, but then again you can always build it again (although you might need a few parts replaced if they broke), but I still wouldn't have been able to drop it 😂 The final custom animation was really cool. There should be an actual in-game mod that allows you to make custom shulker box animations 😂 Also, why'd you go with blue instead of the default purple?

  • This is just amazing. I would love to get some more details on the software side of things. For instance, how do you make the top rotate without it going up and down? I'm intrigued :)

    @peterfromm@peterfromm11 ай бұрын
    • Great question! The key to that is actually in the hardware. There are two motors in the base. One does the lifting, and one does both spinning and lifting. So when both are synced in the software and work together, the lid lifts and spins by both motors. But when only one motor spins you get either lifting or spinning depending on how the motors are programmed to run.

  • Correct me if I'm wrong, but I do believe this is the first time you've used current-generation LEGO Mindstorms for this sort of construct. Very nice! I heard LEGO implemented means to make the programmable bricks able to communicate with each other, which wasn't possible on release - a first, for a mainline Mindstorms product by my understanding - but I had to see it for myself... Good job with it, though! Loved all the animations. Too bad it failed the drop test! (Though I have to admit I'm not surprised)

    @TurnaboutAkamia@TurnaboutAkamia11 ай бұрын
    • You're correct, it is the first time I've used Spike Prime for a project on KZhead. And yes, the hubs can now communicate with each other over Bluetooth, which actually they've been able to do with NXT, EV3, and also now Spike Prime too. It's a pretty handy tool! Yeah, it didn't stand much of a chance at a 2-story drop :) Thanks so much for watching and commenting!

      @BrickMachines1@BrickMachines111 ай бұрын
    • @@BrickMachines1 Yeah, I knew the previous Mindstorms controllers could communicate; that’s what put me off of the Spike Prime platform, actually, because it was the only one that couldn’t at first. Very neat that it can do so now! I’ll likely keep working with EV3 for some time, myself, but knowing that Spike Prime is a viable option now for the kinds of things I’d want to use it for, I’ll keep it in mind if I need to make an upgrade. Though it may end up being the case that something even better will have come out by the time I can afford it. Haha!

      @TurnaboutAkamia@TurnaboutAkamia11 ай бұрын
    • Yes, completely agree that it was a large roadblock for big projects. Super glad that they can communicate now! I also still rely heavily on EV3. They have nice differences, so it's great to be able to pick and choose depending on the projects requirements. Yeah, fair enough!

  • You should make an ender chest. Two, specifically. Have one chest wirelessly connected to the other chest, and have the same mechanic as your furnace, but have it stored with personal belongings. If player 1 taps his card he can then insert the item he wants into a slot, which then the controller would transmit a signal to the other chest to save the item player 1 put in the first chest. So when player 1 goes to the other chest, the items he chose are in the second chest. And it works vise versa. If he removes an item, the other chest removes it. Just an idea! (And there is saved slots for multiple players)

  • For anyone wondering why he dropped it from a 2 story window, in Minecraft, the item when broke can sometimes go up to eye level with the player, and according to Minecraft achievements, 1 block is one meter. The player is 2 blocks tall, meaning 2 meters tall. Your average two story window is, you guessed it, two meters off the ground. It was an amazing brick build. Anyone who has read up to this point, reply to this comment and say "Nice build."

  • Holy snot, not only does it open and close amazingly, but having multiple security features is amazing! I guess if this whole token system was a game, and you couldn't just carry more on your person, but just the stuff on the card, and the only exception if you wanted to take stuff on the go was a shulker, this would be a practical solution. Naw I'm kidding. Unfortunately this seems like at best it'd be a collectors item that's supposed to be like a safe for your tokens. Unlike a chest which of course would have no security. Lol. Edit: I take back everything good I've ever said when it fell on the ground and shattered into a million pieces I genuinely almost cried. I really did think you'd have some sort of solution.
