  • This really showed Aljo’s character. Accepted defeat against a fighter he expected to beat. He didn’t make excuses. Instead he congratulated Sean and his team. Very classy, and I was rooting against him..

  • Anyone who says early stoppage doesn’t realize that aljo was about to take worse ground and pound than he already was, he curled up on all fours and Marc was right to step in before O’Malley could land a more devastating shot. Respect to both fighters but O’Malley had the timing figured out after round 1.

  • There was a moment in the 1st round where there was a switch in momentum almost. It went from aljo walking sean down looking to cut him off and get him against the fence, to omalley walking aljo down. I think aljo was trying all different types of ways to try and get an opening to shoot a takedown or clinch but he was scared to get countered. Omalleys footwork was too good. And as soon as aljo got impatient and tried to force an opening...the end

    • Aljo also said he was having trouble getting him pressed against the cage so he was gonna let omally press him then switch it and put O’Malley on the cage, but it also looked like aljo had a tiny bit of success by getting like 50% to a takedown and landed a punch or kick then jumped in and got caught

Very smart fighter too plays with his energy really well.   • o'malley is a lot harder to grab than people think. everyones gameplan when fighting o'malley is to try pressuring him against the cage and taking him down. aljo only got in close with o'malley twice, and one of them was off of o'malley's own mistake. o'malley got out of both, which probably made aljo impatient and upset, then we saw what we saw

  • If Sterling won this it would have made him a legend. Still one of the greats. But a lot of people should have seen this coming. Omalley gets better and young, Sterling is 34. Most of these welterweight and down fighters are over the hill by that age. That’s why I think Colby is underrated and going to blow up even more. He’s 35 and just hitting prime it seems. About to have the belt whenever Leon quits running.
