Very cool buck for Seth. Great job Erik. I really like it when other people help other achieve their hunting goals, instead of keeping it for themselves only. I’ve helped people get mulies because I enjoy the hunt myself and I don’t need to pull the trigger anymore and seeing others success is very satisfying for me.

Thinking about getting a 7mm prc myself. If I didn’t have a 6.5 creedmoor already I probably get a 6.5 prc. The creedmoor is pretty solid I’m hearing a lot of good things about the prc
@Brandenuzis11 ай бұрын
The 6.5 creedmoor is a great caliber, but we love the 7 prc you just get more range and you get more hitting power with a rem mag. If you do switch to a 7mm PRC we recommend it!

I shot a black tail buck at 486yards this season and it did about the same thing barely went 10 yards down hill I used a factory tikka t3x super lite 308win with a vortex razor LHT 3-15x44 shooting federal premium factory ammo using a trophy bonded 165grain bullet made a pass threw and destroyed lungs as well ask left the heart blood shot so I was satisfied I also tested ammo speed it shot 2758 average with a 16 extreme spread out of a 22 inch barrel and s.d was 6.2fps I think

Hi Seth. I watched your pod cast on the round as well. Is this configuration with the 20” barrel the one getting you 2910fps with the 175? If so, that configuration will be perfect for here in NZ!

I’ve got the 20 inch benchmark barrel and I couldn’t get but 2776 ft./s out of the 175s. The factory loadings were 2783 ft./s and was showing injector marks . Squeezed out 2877 out of the 162 ELDX though. would love to have had your speed with 175s. though. That would be phenomenal numbers with a 22 inch barrel, much less 20 inch. Would love to know how you did it. Nice hunt!
