We take on the ultimate claw machine challenge! We're spending the entire game card on one claw machine at Round One and trying to win as many prizes as we can.
Roseville Round One has the most claw machines by far and the chances of winning are fair. However, it was better before the pandemic.

Yep, rigged it took 11 tries for it not to lose grip. It had no problem the 11 th. Time. I always do it randomly.
Not rigged it's called "Pay out" Everything is set to pay out at a certain price/playtime. Otherwised the arcade would lose money. If you want skills play the ufo catchers those are all skill based machines.
So is it just a random chance that the claw grabs it harder or something?
@Logan, claw machines may have varying parameters. To learn more, you can refer to the owner's manual of a crane machine, which explains how the win rate is determined (Page 56): www.betson.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/Crane-Manual-201703.pdf. You are right; while it's true that winning is largely a matter of chance, I personally prefer to play machines that are used more frequently. Additionally, I switch to a different machine as soon as a prize is awarded.
Correct but it’s also payout
@@soldier_CAT met the owner of a small japanese claw machine shop in town and he specifically says to stay on one machine and put multiple coins instead of just one... Definitely a payout type of a game.. eventually it just locks and stays locked. cool thing about that specific shop is if u spend $20 he'll just keep giving u tokens even if u run out to win the one u want.. places it right in the middle too. also has cute stuffed toys, mostly pokemon.. more recently had the ditto face pokemon.
The awesome person playing has good aim! Great claw machine talent, maybe try to other types of skill-based claw machines and im sure you will win a lot more because you already have skill
Thank you @elysses. Good luck on your next run at Round One as well.
But did you play 11x on the same machine to calculate payout?
We didn't. We were literally running out of credits by that last attempt. If I need to try the 11th, it means I may need to try it all the way to the 20th?
My first time at round 1, I won so many prizes using the claw machine 😭
I'm glad to hear that you're doing well! I hope you continue to succeed. We've had some good times in the past, but it's been tough lately. We were only getting the tiny ones.
not that rigged because i went to a bandai namco claw machine in hong kong and it wouldnt budge even after 60 tries
Did You know if you play the same game 10 or more times without winning they're allowed to give you the prize, they just need to scan your card to see exactly how many times you played.
Thanks for the info @gerardolezaify 😱 , I didn't know that. I have had many 10+ records. I hope I don't need to exercise that privilege next time, but I will definitely give it a try as needed 😄. Thank you!
10x seems awfully generous. Is this an unsaid "rule" at your R1, or is it written out somewhere? They're very corporate from what I hear.
@@ChinaChao I bet if I ask them directly, they probably would say "no". Let me try to ask if I may get some help if I didn't get a prize after more than 10 attempts next time I am there. I hope I will not get a chance to ask that question though. 🙂
@@ChinaChaoI'm guessing it's a rule placed my manager of the ongoing shift and location, cause a worker told me about this and it worked like 3- 4 times and the last 3 times I've gone it's happened that I've played a claw 10plus times and all they said was they would give me a couple free more trys but couldn't give me the prize. I hope it works for yall it's worth a try
@@roadtripparents I hope it works for you, it worked for me the 1st couple of times, but as of lately they don't want to give me the prize just extra credits to play again. I'm guessing it depends on the management working that day cause they still took my card scanned it and said I could get 3 extra tries.
Did you use the double clamp technique? Js wondering
Yes we did.. Any other good tricks, even on a different machine? :-). We may have another visit close to the end of the month. Thanks so much nishixnoya!
@@roadtripparents Hi! I recently found a nice claw machine in Las Vegas.. I recommend going there its called "The Claw" the people their are really nice you can ask them to place the plushie you want in the claw machine in a better place so its easier. The claw machines are way better compared to round 1 in my opinion. The only thing is it may get kinda crowded but I really recommend going there!
@@nishixnoya_8092 Thank you!! I hope we will have a chance to visit Vegas this year again. We have only been going to Circus Circus Midway. Looks like "The Claw" is going to be my daughter's new favorite. Appreciated it.
@@roadtripparentsget a digital game card, it's only $5 a year and it pays itself within 2 visits 😊 also, always do the $100 credit pack so you get more credits per dollar, even if you don't want to spend that much on the arcade, you can split the $100 credits into 3 or 4 different trips, it's definitely much more worth it than the other lower packages 😊 i try to limit myself to 6 games per machine and if it doesn't pay out I walk away to save my chances for another machine that might be ready to pay out... also sometimes on their app they have coupon deals for 5 free credits or $1 off, and although it may be a little bit, it's free!!! 😅
@@roadtripparentsI have a lot of tips and tricks for a lot of different crane machines at round1 but it's so hard to explain when it's not person in front of the machine 😭 but the easiest one to me is the "drop box to win prize" machine because you can always win within 6 tries with proper technique.. 1st, you have to aim with the angle of the claw, because that's how far it will open, so aim the angle as close as you can to the edge of the box to push it, the closer you do it, the harder the push... and then keep doing that until it falls in the hole... sometimes, the front or back of the box will be hanging off the pole, and by simply pushing it down you can drop it one try! I know it may be confusing but I at least wanted to try to explain 😊
I hate how they do it 😔 it's alot Harder along time ago it was easier I got like 6 prizes
Good.,,,...,,
Thank you Endas!
😂😂😂😂😂
It’s not rigged I actually won this is my favorite arcade to go too
Same! I've spent too much here, but it makes me very happy so I don't regret it 🙂
This is why I hate claw machines
I completely understand where you're coming from. I felt the same way from time to time. :-)
Rigged
I wish Ricky!!. We were literally down to our last credit on the card before we were able to pull that off. That wouldn't be our first time coming out empty handed anyways. Good luck to your games!
I work there and they're rigged 😂
Appreciate the inside scoop, Logan! We know it’s a common practice in the arcade world to adjust the grip strength. That said, my encounters at RoundOne have consistently been more rewarding compared to other arcades like Dave & Buster's, Great Wolf Lodge, or Main Event. I like to take a moment to praise the RoundOne team. Their empathy and kindness have shone through in my visits. I recall moments when, after a series of unsuccessful tries, the staff would swap a plain plastic ball I’d snagged for the actual plush toy or even reset the machine to improve my odds. And I’ll let you in on a little secret... there was this one time, my daughter had her heart set on a particular Demon Slayer toy, and after pouring our entire $33 card into the machine with no luck, a staff member opened it up and handed us the toy. This level of service is rare, and I've only seen Great Wolf Lodge come close for toddlers. Huge shoutout to the staff at RoundOne for their exceptional kindness, despite the management’s decision to keep the payout settings on the conservative side🤓
