  • I find the guys that are capable of doing this quite incredible.... Not only the ability to get 6000BHP out of an engine... but ALSO managing it to get it to stay together - and not eat itself alive in that frenzy of unleashed extreme horsepower. Respect!

    • When cars are running on nitro and methanol, the fuel alone is enough to keep them cool enough to get to the line and run a pass. Once they finish a pass they shut the car down and tow it back to the pits. No point for a radiator when its only on/idling for a couple mins max.

  • The Aussie's hands down, have the most radical design will, with the also biggest balls between their legs. Im not talking about the gutts it takes to throttle up a 5 or 6 second pass down a 1/4 mile. Most people don't understand that aspect....like a opportunity to get taught the jist of xyz on a semi governed blown alcohol funny car that I remember one could pay for the day where if you nail it right you can run a high 6.... The two-day package back in the 1980s would run you about 5,000$ and they provide hotel and transportation to and from the facility where your first day is mostly classroom and then the physical introduction of the funny car etc and then the next day a quick go over and briefing and now you're set to blast off where there is nothing automatic about it including the throttle control where now a person gets a good real world experience at one aspect called pedaling. Pedaling is a term for not only backing off the throttle and back on to hold your line when you start coming out of the groove, but more so especially if you are just a Stone Cold rookie, what one person described as the crux of the terminology being the backing off of sympathetic vibration in which, The driver is controlling the funny car and not some computer program controlling the clutch based off of data associated with a particular track and which lane because in top fuel the driver rides on that baseline program and then any adjustments needed is what they call pedaling. So here we go when we talk about sympathetic vibration in which the big wrinkle wall diameter rear slicks if you begin to break traction you don't encounter loss of traction as much as you do wheel chatter and when you're talking about even a governed blown alcohol Keith black motor, The vibration involved for one person I read in the article, was intense enough to vibrate one of his crown molars off of his tooth. We're not even talking about the sheer terror of it when you got that much power and I was born a horsepower junky, and I used to watch something like top fuel saying I would kill to get in one of those rides and show everybody how it's done.... since being involved in respectable horsepower drag racing in which my last 12-point chromoly chasis drag car, upwards of $80,000 I had in it, I mean we're talking fast where one track in El Paso Texas, I wish I knew how short of a distance they give you after crossing the trap, would have definitely adjusted my needle valve that allows more break pressure to the rear or front whatever need be because my life flashed before my eyes standing on that break pedal trying to slow what is a 2,300 lb car in which the lighter you are doesn't help in stopping distance when you just ran through the trap at 155 mph... I don't even want to attempt driving some boosted 2,000 horsepower twin turbo or blown death machine, MUCH LESS AND HERE IS MY POINT, the Aussies hands down, and and it's probably the better methodology of course and that is they get out of the groove with 3000 horsepower and some little Fiat lol, whatever insane machine they have configured, One does have a choice of backing off but it's something about their culture and it's probably in the genes, they couldn't look at themselves in the mirror or possibly even be ostracized from their neighborhood or township no different than an Irish man playing poker isn't drinking up a storm and showing about as much financial courage as far as reckless goes as a norm, or else you simply are not a Irishman or an Australian and simple as that. And not a New Zealander don't ever get that mixed up with an Australian. When it comes to drag racing I admire the Australians very much and also when it comes to man for man, like when I went to Angeles City in the Philippines and had my encounters and introductions and interactions with any Australian, their first and foremost prime directive is who are you exactly as a man and your name and where you're from only makes you suspect until proven otherwise and for me I hardly think I am boasting or out of line when I say whatever it is they were fishing for they found it real quick, because the average aspect of that biology here in America is limp-wristed, clammy and wishy-washy. So of course right away, every Australian I ran into there knew who they were dealing with within the first minute and that's just one hurdle because from there they want to see if it's real or not.... AND I LIKE THAT. Here in America if one is a man and the idea of apologizing for that only motivates that man to turn up the dial of anti political correctness, is something more so that a man doesn't have to think about or concern himself with in Australia and obviously it shows how one thing builds off another just like what is the western spirit if not mashing that throttle despite a lack of cooperation with this beast you have created. So why am I in the same league when I don't have the balls like they do for going fast on wheels? Oh because it's simple, give me that opportunity of the cockpit in the space shuttle launch and you better believe I'm going to be there who cares if the thing blows up, we're talking about the highest horsepower in the world with billions and billions of dollars to mash that throttle.... That's another aspect that most people don't realize I don't care how many successful launches they have had the thing is literally a bomb underneath your seat and considering one out of 20 whether it's going up or coming back in on reentry, 1 out of 20 is horrible odds when you are betting your life and therefore in essence it's a proverbial death sentence. You better believe I'll be there, I like those odds and considering the one out of millions in terms of a chance to actually jump in the seat of that Nazi inspired hot rod.... The thought just now of would I be willing to cut my pinky off for the chance has got me contemplating. I'm leaning towards yes but reluctantly I mean a once-in-a-lifetime chance that nobody really gets and you only live once you'd be stupid not to cut your pinky off to get that chance behind the wheel of that space shuttle. My relentless logic would demand I do it... I got to be honest I would much rather stump that 3000 horsepower Fiat and go balls to the wall for the space shuttle chance rather than cutting my pinky off but any Australian reading this understands my mentality and I'm not going to hold my breath that he's getting himself a laugh so much as rightfully saying I'm a blow heart who doesn't have the guts to carry a fazwaggler in the middle of the night in the outback lol. BULLSHIT...🧐 Don't call me no blow hard and I won't call you accidentally a New Zealander, ok mate? ... Hey waitress Make with the quick walking and bring my Australian buddy here a Fosters and keep them coming I will settle for a soda water and a couple of plates of chop suey with extra rice...and HEY WAITRESS.... I want my food FRESH, and I WANT IT....HOT😠

But i suppose you could argue that muscle car is a term for something that has huge hp, and big engine and doesn't mean anything body wise, i only say that because most "race" cars are only a resemblance of cars like tail ends or front ends, but nothing else conforms to said muscle cars. Every car in this video=race car Actual muscle car=70's chargers, 70's c-10 pickups. and so on and so forth. But this generation is thinking that a 2000's cars are classics. so to each their own.

  • The diesel mustang does not make sense I mean why the fuck would you put a Cummings diesel Engine in a ford the Engine that you should put is the legendary 7.3 twin turbo power stroke

    • Because a diesel engine is more eco efficient, As long as they dont burn too much fuel or make smoke, and produce a higher torque ratio

  • Ok, just because you put a body on a tube chassi doesnt mean you get to call it a camaro, a mustang or a kia...can the car community stop doing this. Its really annoying.... at that point its a racecar with the looks of a production car just so it can be called a "mustang " or a "camaro" etc etc....
